This interview put a big smile on my face, James is a real great guy and the interviewer was good too. It's all about spreading positive vibes man. A blessing
That's why I literally love Metallica. They're putting themselves on music. It's not something they have to do to please someone; it's not their music, they are their music. They're true. But not in the way Slayer are.

woooooooow, so cool he's proud of Bleeding Me, Outlaw Thorn and Fixxxer, I love those songs, I think it's Metallica at their top, I hope they got back to those kind of songs
Oh, I just love James. He's so....what should I say.... lovable! His voice are amazing, and when he plays the guitar my ear's smiling. And not to talk about how damn sexy and hot he is! And when he shows this honest and symphatic side it just can't be more awesome! (and YEAH, I'm a woman and a big Metallica-fan ;) ). Sorry if I did'nt spelled everything right, I'm swedish...
Fixxxer is THE ONLY SONG I could enjoy when I'm going through some shit. And then bleeing me is exactly what I'll listen to a couple of weeks or months after that shit I went through, it picks me back up. Those two songs are really beyond music, they have a high bandwidth communication of going through a tough time. Thanks James, thanks Metallica.
I agree with James there we can't forget some songs of load and reload like the outlaw torn ,bleeding me, fixxxer , unforgiven II great albums but very unappreciated
The bit about musical diversity within metallica....I think this really hurt you guys long term. Corey Taylor did it right. When you make a band, you create a product...you create a "brand". While it is completely understood that some "off-brand" songs will sneak their way in to an album, it is detrimental to your overall product if you make entire albums off-brand. Corey Taylor understood this, so when you buy a Slipknot cd, the customer knows what they are getting, and will be confident in their purchase. Throw too many different styles of music in a Slipknot record, and people will stop buying. So here comes Stone Sour for all those weaker songs that should never be on a Slipknot record. If Metallica had the foresight to do this from the beginning, we could have still been getting good focused heavy records, and the people who liked the lighter side of what the members of Metallica create, could buy the records from their side project band. So this is why I have zero expectations, and therefore zero interest in the next Metallica album, as I have no idea how much of the album I am going to like. The next Slipknot record I am definitely buying though.
It`s so annoying to see James answering the questions and looking at the interviewer, and that guy taps the iPhone. I know he reads the questions or whatever, but it`s silly to talk to a man who isn`t even looking at you.
+The Conrad Basically, he doesn't like when someone is not fully invested in only "the main" band. I think he feels that you spend too much of your time and energy on many other things and then you can't focus fully on your main thing.
+The Conrad No, it's cool. I wouldn't necessarily agree because I don't think he does it for the money, just because of his freedom to do many stuff more independently. James is more like: "Anything you need to do you can do it in one thing and with your main gang." But, I think that you should do anything you feel that you want to do and not be stuck in something if you don't get enough out of it. On the other hand, I understand James in terms of, if you always give 100% to only one thing, you'll get more out of it than doing many stuff and be not as focused on everything properly as you could.
Only thing I don't like about this is the side project comments. Makes zero sense. Corey isn't hurting for money, some people actually want to branch out and do different things
his proudest tracks: bleeding me, outlaw torn, fixxer, unforgiven II......WTF!!!! where are master of puppets, one, fade to black, and justice for all........
Unforgiven II is for me, kinda pointless, but i dont even like a whole album, reload, not in my favorites list at all, it is out, earlier it sounded some pretty good but after all, noooo noooo.
Well. Nothing else matters is album worst song, for me anyway. unforgiven i love alot! Black sabbath is one what born heavy metal but who did basic, led Zeppelin, noone cant deny that, if so, that is a lie?

Is it Joel McIver interviewing ?

We need a James Hetfield biography. From him ! Not some ghost writer
well he is a tattooist now aswell
sober james is better!
No. Drunk James is the best

Corey is an excellent solo artist, I'm a little surprised James bashes him like this.

What does James mean when he was talking about Corey Taylor?
+The Conrad Basically, he doesn't like when someone is not fully invested in only "the main" band. I think he feels that you spend too much of your time and energy on many other things and then you can't focus fully on your main thing.
+Antikoagulant I thought he was just disappointed in him for selling his soul for more money. I know I sound crazy for saying that
+The Conrad No, it's cool. I wouldn't necessarily agree because I don't think he does it for the money, just because of his freedom to do many stuff more independently. Antikoagulant that makes sense.
