Worked like a charm. Changed the useless 4 gb ram it comes with to 16 gb. Its not fast but its okej now.
I was little shocked to see 4gb my computer updated windows and slowed down. Dang thought 8gb was low.

Helpful vid thanks. Virtually same as my laptop but no screws by sliding battery clips, mine were hidden under 2 back plastic desk supports! Was a real challenge getting in this laptop but thanks to you showing me the unclipping keyboard from top was helpful. I now got drive out of laptop for reformatting, etc. Thanks :)

Heads up! Some of these don't have a second ram slot installed, although the motherboard shows contacts where it goes

Important Note: If you have an HP 15-ac146ds you DO NOT have a 2nd RAM slot, you are limited to SINGLE CHANNEL RAM ONLY!

Are there screws until the rubber feet (by the battery hatch)? I wasn’t able to pry them off. I wasn’t able to remove the back cover. Almost, but just a fraction of an inch. Any suggestions?
How many slots for additional ram
Absolutely does not come apart as you indicate in your video. Something is missing in your video as I have the identical laptop.
It absolutely comes apart this way, I did this exact laptop yesterday after watching this video. If you had trouble you likely left a screw in or a screw which is why it seems like it won’t come apart.
There's an HP 15 that comes apart differently. You have to take out the keyboard, then take out screws from underneath it, disconnect the mouse and the Power button, and then you can take out that wider part. It still doesn't let you get to the RAM directly, though.

Какая оперативная память стоит в HP 15-ac123ur? Написано что в нём 6ГБ, значит там распаяно 4 ГБ на материнской плате и + модуль на 2ГБ? Если я хочу увеличить ОЗУ, то какой модуль брать? Будет ли разница в скорости, если взять неодинаковые модули? Или они в любом случае получатся неодинаковыми из-за распаянной ОЗУ на мат. плате?
Скажите пожалуйста, у модели 15-ас101ur интегрированный или его можно сменить самостоятельно?

It depends if the motherboard supports the ram frequency then yeah but with hp you have to get a compatible ram like crucial or else it will set the ram mhz to the lowest settings bc they lock the bios
