I'd rather watercool it because the results bring the temps down more. The results speak for itself. If the manufacturers were sure passive cooling would work they would not have put a fan.
@@teknoromeo6170 I watched a guy on youtube replacing the fan with a Thermalright HR-05 SLI/IFX, worked for him what he showed. But I guess manufactures wasn't so keen on adding that big cooler for the majority. Looking for a smaller replacement myself, passive/another fan solution
Hi! Do you still have the old fan and heatsink? Can you measure the distance between the mounting holes in millimeters? I'm thinking about getting this motherboard and maybe use a passive heatsink on it.
so why did i watch a minute of you trying to get an item out of a box with one hand in a 4 minute video lol
I was holding the phone recording with the other hand.
@@teknoromeo6170 bro get a tripod. PLEASE
Be prepared. Unbox everything first! After all, we all know what a box looks like. FYI, best played on mute. Music is...
omg the south bridge temp is 33?????????????? amazing
damn didnt think this was possible
This is old school mod from when motherboards had North ridge and South ridge chipsets.
With this videocard you can use passive cooler without any problem

2:15 you need sto stop drinkin dude.
Too much orange juice...
Thank you
Was here
Will this only fit with a watercooled video card also?
@Tekno Romeo, does this block fit on all big motherboards? I have asrock x99 serie motherboard.
I has an adjustable length so it should work.

63.5mm
Thanks! This will make it easier to plan a solution. =)
screw holes are so tiny tho...
I've got this same board and the chipset temps are putting me on tilt. Does XSPC still make this block? I can't seem to find it.
I got mine from performance PC. Frozen cpu might also have it.
Did you take any performance benchmarks before and after doing this? Outside of temperature of course.
At this point the system is fast and doing a before and after under performance criteria would be so small of a difference as this only affects temp.
Hello, tell me something. You installed it with a thermal pad or thermal past. Direct contact on the chipset!
Thermal paste.
Hi, Was the chipset fan very audible after the initial start up? I'm thinking about getting this board but the fan is really off-putting, thanks
It wasn't noisy but I wanted to do this. Old school style.
Was that a monoblock? if so, from who? i don't see any monoblocks from EK that are compatible for any x570 boards yet.
Sorry I wish it as a monoblock. It's byksky cpu block. You get it from their website or you can go to performance-pc to view their lineup.
X470?posseble?
Yes but you need to check the measurement of the chipset cooler holes.
@@teknoromeo6170 nice
No need to for X470 since no fans.
