This mini-minisode takes a look at the secrets hidden within the gibbing pool Barney in Decay's Domestic Violence mission.
A floating corpse is more resilient than one of the most formidable enemies in all of Half-Life.

even his corpse has 3000 health, I can't imagine how much hp he had when he were still alive and what thing is capable of kill him.
Someone pushed him into the pool while he was showing off his brand new non water-proof phone.
At that point, he decided existance wasn't worth it anymore.

Maybe they have the PS2 code to help it out. Thats how also Uplink on PS2 was discovered when Decay was being ported to PC.

Are you using some kind of Emulator when playing Decay? The way the controls move everytime you play it looks like it's PC more than PS2.
Half-Life on the PS2 supports KB+M
I record most Decay footage using the emulator PCSX2. Half-Life on the PS2 has native support for USB keyboard and mouse input, but I don't know how to set that up in the emulator, so I just bound the controller buttons to keyboard keys and the thumbstick axes to mouse movement.

I REMEMBER THIS GAME! I had it in the PS2 (or ps1) and played coop with my brothers. THEY EVEN HAD MULTIPLAYER
So echoes's Snark traps have a basis in canon?
Me and my friend discovered this back in time on the ps2, playing co_op. We made it our objective to leave no corpse behind (except static ones)
When we encounterd this one, all we could think of was the movie ALIEN. With facehuggers. I beilieve this is some form of tribute.

Marphy, is there any cut content or hints that Gearbox was going to overhaul Xen for the PS2? I recall reading an interview with Randy Pitchford on 3DAction Planet back in 2000-2001 that they were making changes to the chapter and that PC players would be surprised when they entered the border world. Obviously that didn't happen, but I was curious as to whether they were originally going to make it more like the Blue Shift Xen levels.
On another note, HECU grunts can throw back and kick grenades away in the PS2 version, are there any more interesting upgrades or cut AI features for NPCs as well?
The biggest change Gearbox made to the Xen levels was removing the first level of the Interloper chapter in the cancelled Dreamcast port. However, they brought this map back in the PS2 version, undoing that sole major change. In the end, there were no significant alterations to any of the Xen maps, and there aren't any indications they attempted or any leftover clues that they even planned to do so.
In addition to throwing back and kicking grenades, another new AI behavior that Human Grunts have in the PS2 port is the ability to roll away from grenades and other dangers, a contrast to their normal PC behavior of ducking in place. Otherwise, the only other notable and unique monster entity upgrades were cosmetic, and I plan to cover those in a video down the line.
