- [TV-14, language] Because you asked for it, here is our complete interview with a Namless Ghoul from Ghost BC, where they answer questions about the direction of their next album, evolution of their staging, the idea behind Papa Emeritus, and what they were trying to achieve with If You Have Ghost.

I really digging the masks. Not just because it's cool, because it is. The different masks they use, the makeup... and when they keep the masks on even in interviews, it mystifies their identities and allows the music to be the star. The whole get up is entertainment and I love it. They're clearly intelligent and Nameless Ghoul has a captivating way of speaking that can really make you see him as an artist. Not just by looking at his actual face and saying, "Wow, he's hot." I get to see Ghost for the first time in concert in October. I can't wait!

GHOST is the best thing going today! I'm an old 50's music loving Greaser but I love me some Ghost, my favorite band since Black Sabbath!!
As long as this band remains deeply creative on a musical level, they will eventually have a huge effects laden theatrically rolling kind of show. He mentions KISS and I was thinking the same thing. Once people tire of the visual spectacle of the band members, they will expect a larger presentation and this band should be able to pull that off with the right talents. I can't wait to see them in their still infantile like form in a very small venue October this year.

Matthew Smith As cool as that would be, I suppose the thing to remember is that it's theatrical. It's all an act, a show. And I like hearing the genuine people behind it talking. Which is why I'm not really too fond of the anonymous thing. Have the musicians, and then have the ghoul and papa persona. Pick which one you want to interview y'know. This weird cross of in costume but not in the persona is just a bit, not right, y'know?
But having voices and personality would be mad. Papa just needs to talk like old swedish Vincent price and I'd be over the moon.
+Will IsNotCool It simply allows them to live a bit more normal in private. I think it's really smart because it helps you keep fame and personal life a bit seperate. It would also be really cool if they have Nameless Ghoul having a back n forth with MF Doom, both wearing their masks.

I love the interviewer's enthusiasm, but I think about five minutes could have been cut just from his fangirling, hahaha. I don't mean this in a negative way, it was entertaining and uplifting to hear how excited he was to be conducting the interview.

Melizzabeth Papa is an old italian man, the ghoul is iim sure are young guys. Also the Papa emeritus position is like the position of an actual pope, they constantly switch and have try outs for the next papa.

It's cool to hear that they enjoyed the Webster Hall show as much as the crowd did. It was so hot in there, it may as well have been hell. Also, Sabbath Assembly with Jex Thoth may have been the best band to go on before Ghost.

I'm not sure if it's known to everyone, but papa emeritus wears masks. That is not makeup on his face. Even the bald one with sunglasses is a mask. Just making sure everyone knows. :)
He does apply makup though... it's just that he applies it to the mask he wears.

+Adam Cederblad when you've been singing in two bands one being just screaming and the other just singing it destroys your face and getting older and Tobias smokes so it does destroy your vocals and changes a lot just like in other bands like slipknot the singer Corey Taylor his voice changed a lot from the first album
they are most likely missleading us to believe that there is a new papa cause u dont change a singer three times in such a short time. so most likely all are tobias
with the technique there is today! u can change someones voice very easy or maybe they´ve just changed positions if you know what i mean like one of the nameless ghouls are now papa and the one who was papa is now a nameless ghoul

I just meant the level of spectacle he was talking about. Rob Zombie comes to mind as one of the biggest when it comes to stage show. I hope to see a level of spectacle like that from them one day. Musically, I agree hands down, Ghost are better..
They'll be bigger the Zombie, trust me... they don't intend to be more accessible, but their music IS more accessible. When I first started listening to Rammstein, I never imagined they'd break America, or even play Madison Square Garden... but they did, and they have a LOT more against them singing entirely in German! Ghost will get there, and the show they put on will go down in history. I will also travel half way around the world to be there!
Ghost is 100 times better than Rob zombie his vocals suck but I still like rob but ghost is on another level
Really enjoy the band and their music. Not huge on the faux-Satanic imagery angle, but I realize it's a gag/theater, and I really enjoy them, they seem like nice people, make good music, and I look forward to Meliora.
I was a little hesitant at first too since I was raised religious but had since left. Once I got over that, I now love them to death!
