I'm very familiar with this ride. I rode to my grandparents' house & back from Poway to Santa Ana back in the late 70s twice. Nice ride. I'm still riding. I rode to MO from Southern California 3 years ago. I'm thinking about riding to AZ to visit my mother. I'm out of shape right now but nothing that a few weeks of riding won't fix. Happy trails.
7:30 please keep your hands on your bars and put your phone away. Especially if you're riding next to the 5 shoulder. Literally eight to nine seconds later a semi passes by at freeway speeds.
This is one of my things to do on a bike. I dont have anyone i know that could ride with me down to san diego. Is there alot of groups that does at certain months?
@@lafargaa If it is legal because there is no other alternative to take another road, the signs there say that cars will share the freeway with bicycles.
@@catfishdogyears ago, you had to ride thru Pendleton but I've seen some videos from the last few years that shows you can also bypass Pendleton & ride the I-5.
Neta, que pedalean bien gacho las mujeres. Muy en especiql las que salieron en el freeway. No estan consientes de en donde estan y son un peligro para todos. Hablen con ellas, eduquenlas en seguridad
Eso lo entiendo que no existe otro sitio. A lo que me refiero es de que las mujeres se devisan pedaliando muy a la izquierda de la ruta en la que van pedaliando. Eso es muy irresponsable como ciclista. Eso es a lo que me referia.
Gracias por tu comentario yo soy unas de las ciclistas en esta ruta . Recibo tu comentario de no pedalear hacia la izquierda por seguridad de todos. Si yo también me di cuenta q me desvíe hacia la izquierda. Pero no pedaleamos gacho eh✌️
jajajajaj ok, tienes razon, no pedalean gacho. Son chingonas ya que pedaliaron tanto y mis respetos. Yo e pedaliado de Long Beach a Rosarito en mi bicicleta. Tengo varios videos en mi canal de youtube pero no e subido nada ultimamente.

ARTIC to Oceanside is my favorite metric century. You certainly added some miles to that.

Riding through a parade route was kind of rude. Google maps is your friend.

There are some other areas in California where it is also legally posted that cyclists are allowed to ride on the freeway shoulders

No hay otra manera de pasar entre san clemente y oceanside... es necesario y normal
