My grandmother lived in Lancaster for a time. Her father worked at Edwards AFB. If I remember correctly, she lived near 90th St E and Lancaster Blvd. Must’ve been quiet back then. Glad to see the town get some love, even if I’ve never been.

So... they closed it because people kept falling in the water and dying? Or because they were afraid of bicycle riding terrorists sabotaging the aqueduct?
I'm not a fan of the fact that there's basically nothing in Lancaster, CA. It seems like all the fun places are around downtown LA, and the farther you go with Metrolink, the more boring it gets. Plus, it takes too long to reach San Francisco or San Diego.
Yeah, I live in Lancaster and it's mostly a desert with houses and the stuff u need built on it. It is not a place for tourism. Not a place many want to or should go to.
@@CancelRUclips026 we have a lot of people out here who work in the LA area so it helps people who have a low income. There are actually a lot of people who use it too (during the week at least), not just for jobs but for other things so it's actually useful and helps get more cars off the roads.
Dude, I love you. You’re so authentic and unpretentious. So many of the biker “community” turn me off. I will continue watching your videos. Just out of curiosity, were you born and raised in the states? I detect a residue of maybe French Canadian. That would make me love you even more! Thanks!
I actually am working on some baskets, but instead of spot welding the whole thing, I trash picked some basket panels from some storage shelving which can be easily welded together regularly since the frames are thick enough.
I thought you were going to show off the Sierra bike trail between Lancaster and Palmdale...idk how you even found this trail. It isnt even included on the LA County bike map. I guess it's cool for solar panel foamers lol
Santa Ana river is great! but that's in Orange County. I'm not sure about the Torrence part, but I've biked to Malibu on Coast Highway which was somewhat treacherous.
many towns have recently put a bunch of semi-useless bike infrastructure in the middle of nowhere as that is where it is cheapest to place it. I think there is a fed/state incentive for increasing bike lane mileage that came about recently so this is and things like it are probably capitalizing on that
@@BasicBeachCommunity1 The trail along the beach is great of course! Though it tends to get congested with pedestrian traffic, I feel they should separate the bike part like in Venice.

Many don't even bother slowing down for cross walk lights/guards. Love what you're doing, love that you're promoting the MTA, walking, biking etc., but some places aren't meant to be explored on foot. The A.V. is one of them. Not to mention the stupid ass city planning with 99% of streets here leading to dead ends, forcing you to drive/walk in circles. I live on and off between the A.V. and L.A. and I always walk in L.A., but in the A.V., nope! I no longer bother jogging outside anymore after I got hit.
Bro it's not that deep, but I would think LA is far more dangerous to walk around than some remote desert suburbs. I'm saying this as someone that grew up without a car in suburban Florida.
always a good day when petesake uploads
There are a bunch of random trails in rancho Cucamonga and Fontana, close to metro lines too
I have to finish my math homework, but I couldn't resist a petesake vid!

Wow that's pretty far out there! Probably quiet there still.
Watching videos about California’s infrastructure always fills me with so much dread
itll get better trust
Then stop.
Dread? Why dread?
Your videos are so chill love it

Very cool! I didn't know this trail existed! I will take Metrolink here and try this trail!
There's a crazy history to a bike path along the California Aqueduct. In its day, it was the longest continuous bike path in the world.
So... they closed it because people kept falling in the water and dying? Or because they were afraid of bicycle riding terrorists sabotaging the aqueduct?

this is fantastic

Should do a video on the pacific electric trail
Which one? The one in Claremont-Fontana, Santa Ana, or Garden Grove?

that is the best bike trail in L.A. County ?? , did you try santa ana river trail, or the torrance -malibu trail ?
