    No offence to Noah's 10.01 (1.7), but that meet was all about Jacious Sears 10.77 (1.6) WL / #2 all-time NCAA 100m / #7 US all-time / #15 all-time & Freshman Kaylyn Brown 49.95 #7 all-time NCAA 400m / #29 US all-time! And s/o '19 World Champ Yaime Pérez 🇨🇺 who threw 73.09m (#9 all-time, real WR?!) at a meet in Oklahoma, the longest throw in the Women’s Discus since 1989!

      I don't think a single "hater" doubts Lyles can get the W in both the 100 and 200. I mean, I wouldn't call hin the fav in the 100m (there are several 9.7s guys in the conversation), but to write him off would be crazy. What more objective people say is: there has been so much talk about the 100 WR from Lyles and even from some of his fangirls, and Lyles has yet to deliver a performance that convinces somebody (with an IQ above 100) that he is a sub 9.8s sprinter.
      The hype leading up to this 10.01s was off the charts, TRP and fangirls talking about 9.7s low and even 9.6s. That's crazy...

    • @Yes_I_c4n
      @Yes_I_c4n Месяц назад +2

      @@danielh3179 I mean, the 100m WR is just out of reach, like way out of reach. Lykes hasn't even shown he is a sub 9.8s guy, let alone a 9.6s guy and let alone a 9.5s guy. People need to face reality: that Lyles might not even go sub 9.8s, so WR conversation is silly talk.
      The 200m WR is also out of reach. Lyles had 1 single 19.31s race where he delivered everything perfect and has not delivered such a performance in over 1,5 years and yet people still talk about the 200m WR...
      Lyles has never split sub 9.23s, so WR is also out of reach.
      All it takes is some reliable split times and we can estimate quite accurately how it's going to go down, more so with consistent sprinters such as Lyles.

      @@justaguywatchingyt2913 A lot faster? Lyles' main issue is from 0...30m. That won't change outdoors. Lyles is already splitting 2.55s from 30...60m, so he is maxed out there. His 6.43s will not get much faster (if any), unless his 0...30m levels up big time and I just don't see that, based on existing data. I think we can maybe hope for a 6.40s at best and even that might be a bit of a stretch. Time will tell.
      No reasom for so much hype at this point in time really. Things have been laid out clearly.
      Don't expect for Lyles to go sub 9.8s easily. I expect Lyles to show up in Paris at the same level he showed up in Budapest 2023, so something around 9.8s ish for Lyles, 9.80s at best; maybe 9.77s if he gets a perfect performance with a 6.40s start.

I’m looking out for him to get back to his indoor 2023 start and once he gets use to the new start and combines it with his finish, he’s gonna be insane! I also think it appears he’s still in training right now, because his finish wasn’t his usual either.

      At his best , he goes 6.43s+3.40s=9.83s, maybe 6.43s+3.37s=9.80s. If he manages to improve his start further, maybe he can clock either a 6.40+3.40=9.80s or 6.40+3.37=9.77s.
      If this is the "insane" you are talking about, okay, but there's at least 3 active guys out there whose PRs are 9.77s or faster.
