I love how despite Monks being relatively underpowered, every single one of their abilities were clutch for Jesus saving Finn
It's even better when you consider that made men in the Mafia tended to be Roman Catholic. So, in a way, Jesus was giving The Shark a very literal case of divine intervention.

Are monks really underpowered? Every time I have seen them being played they are either the mvp of the battle by stunning everyone or just really good because they are fast and deal a lot of damage

@@itsmeunnamed2854 They can get a lot of hits in but they tend to have lower damage dice than most other melee classes while also being somewhat frail.
By D&D Combat rules, this whole episode canonically took place all of 30 seconds.
By the Shark's use of "Know your enemy" it canonically took at least twice as long for the giant castle mech to be prepared than it took to take it down.
Lol. Imagine watching a villain have this epic entrance only for him to immediately get beat up and die
That’s why I usually have each player turn be 3-6 seconds depending on how many players there are

This is the series were a nerd, an athlete, a firefighter from the future and a mafia lone shark are in a magical kingdom with George Washington and Jesus trying to kill Leonardo da Vinci after he used the magical invisibility of Sigma froid to kidnap the king's son. Don't bet that it will stop feeling like a fever dream any time soon.
Nah, it feels like a fever dream because the series gets canceled so often that it's always a dream when an Isekai D&D episode actually happens.

Surprisingly, Freud did not enter into a full-blown discussion about the symbolism of Sharks bat for his self-esteem. Sigmund became isekaid and PG13!

My favorite thing is the fact that rustage saw George Washington and Jesus as potential characters and thought to himself, "You know what, yeah, we're making George Washington the Cleric"
Followed by making Jesus a open Hand monk for distance attack and not a way of Mercy monk that could heal people by touching them
It’s fitting that the boss with the Rogue God within his necklace is easily one of the most underhanded antagonists in any of Rustage’s campaigns. Thank goodness for Jesus.
I have a theory:
So with every character that they have met, most of them are from before they died in real life. Boudica said that it was the year 60 in real life when she got isekaied, and Boudica dies in the year 61. Blackbeard said that is 35 and Blackbeard is said to have died in his late thirties, 35-40.
So, I'm guessing that even though they are not in the real world they will still die at the same time they will die in the isekai world, if that makes any sense. I'm guessing that the people who got isekaied are close to their deaths in real life, and it will happen in the isekai world, so our party were probably going to die sooner or later in the real world, and if they don't die in the isekai world, then when they return - if they return - they will die as soon as they get there.
The exception to this rule though would be Jack, wether this is because he's immortal OR going with your theory he simply "isn't dead". Though an issue with this theory is that Boudica probably was sent here during her "prime" while the whole war thing with the Roman's were still going on, so I doubt this theory holds true.

@@Cladestinecandle Basically what I'm saying is that if they "are" supposed to die in the Isekai the same time they were supposed to die in real life, the main issue stems from these figure are either pulled at a time where they're much younger point in their lives (and thus essentially not anywhere close to the age they're "supposed to die") we know this with Boudica (since she's summoned during her on-going battles with the Romans). And in this most recent battle, regarding the deaths Freud and Leonardo Da Vinci (who are obviously summoned at a younger point of their life when they would've died through natural causes).
The theory is fascinating though.

So, Rustage, the Repulsion Shield is a reaction to being hit not being damaged. This is an important distinction... for future events/info.
Edit: I don't know for sure but chat may have thought Cody could still cast Polymorph. Also ALL Druids can go into flying forms at lvl 8 but if they're not Moon Druids its like CR 1/2 at best so... maybe a Giant Eagle? I can't remember what low CR beasts have fly speeds...

Just so you guys know for next time, you don't need to do any real-life math to determine fall speed, there's rules for it in D&D. In D&D you fall 500 ft per round of combat (6 seconds). On the other hand, I'm pretty sure falling is supposed to happen instantaneously, so Cody wouldn't have gotten a turn, but that's a reasonable house ruling considering he was high enough up to have a few seconds in the air.
I was indeed listening to this on Spotify while driving, i did not need to be called out like that.

Twenty-six have been committed by Norman, which is using incendiary weapons on a person eighteen times, Psychological Warfare three times, Environmental Manipulation three times, attempted Environmental Destruction one time, Weather Manipulation once, Biological Warfare once, Desecration of the Dead once, and Destruction of Property of an Adversary.
2 hours of combat AND NO WARCRIMES

9.8 meters per second per second (minus air drag) which is 30 feet of speed at the end of the first second (15 feet traveled) so roughly 150 feet per second at the end of 6 seconds or 15+45+75+105+135+165 or 540 feet (not including wind resistance) in one round.
And this is reflected in the rules, because in D&D you're supposed to fall 500 ft. per round of combat (6 seconds). They could've just looked this up instead of trying to do math lmao
