Base capture or base assault missions are my favourite, lots of stuff to blow up. Which type of mission do you enjoy the most?
combined arms missions because that is the only DLC I use

I really enjoy playing these type of missions. It works really well also for helliports and have other players transfer troops with helicopter to take over the heliports where airplanes do CAP and CAS missions for the transport helos. Cool video, thanks a lot!
Its great when you can be part of a big mission with lots of aircraft types. The hard part is making those missions balanced.

Question, you covered the capture but how do we get the blue armor unit to attack/capture the base when the last Red Unit is destroyed? That would've been a nice step to have here.
In the mission I set up the armour to hold at a waypoint until a trigger told it that all red units inside were dead. When I get back to making videos it will get its own video. The Mission Editor is so complicated I try and keep the videos shorter and to the point. I will release longer more detailed videos eventually, but I am struggling for time between work and house projects at the moment.

i wish for the day we can get a trigger: Unit or Group in zone = Switch coalition of airbase
sure it's a bit unrealistic for an airplane to capture an airbase but this would be great for heli
I suppose you could use CTLD and put an armour unit in a helo, but it would be good if any unit could capture the bases.
Is there a way to have your ground units move into the airfield zone after I killed all the enemy ground units?
Yes you can use a trigger to tell them to move to a waypoint inside the airfield. But I find that using the manual radio menu trigger to be better.
Hey i know your probably super busy, but if you have timedo you think you could explain locked slots at captured airfields? Im making an invasion campaign and im trying to make it so the aircraft are locked in spawn menu until the airfield has been captured, like the way you see it on dynamic servers but i only got the flight to delay it doesnt actually lock the slot
I haven't made a mission with locked spawns. I know that you can use code to unlock the slots.
Where can I find the mission file for this?
The complete mission is not finished yet, but it will eventually be on the ED user files section
Could you do a video on cruise missile strikes through SCUDs and cruisers? There is a lot broken at the moment and I want to know how you do it.
Im sure I can. The last time I used cruise missiles in a mission it was a bit fiddly. I haven't used scuds for a while as they are horrendously inaccurate 🤣.

Can you do a multiplayer tutorial where if a player dosent choose to fly an aircraft/helicopter etc. that ai takes over that specific vehicle?
I can try. I expect it will be a combination of using the radio menu and late activation without using scripts.
There is unlikely to be any videos until at least August 😬.
Hey, i have a lot of problems on my own server, it keeps saying the red units are still alive with 1%hp
the red zones never turn neutral.. any idea?
You could set up a trigger to explode the units when they get to less than 5% health but that is a lot of work. You could also report the issue to the testing team in the ED discord as it may be a bug.
Can you cover missile strikes? I tried to mirror the Top Gun Maverick movie to have the airfield wiped out by Tomahawks. Despite a white area to hit, every missile hit the same spot!
I was half way through making a video on cruise missiles before I moved. Once I get the office finished and back to DCS I will try and re-make that as it was made back on the last version of DCS and things may have changed in the last 12 months.
Coud we recreate a mad max world with the mission editor or a mod coud help ? withonly a few old jets fighter on the map with no experience in combat or in the map . but many old DCA working on the ground to target your Old legendary F14 tomcat ^^... you shoud travel to help some friend to give food etc ... .. refuel on dangerous place ... discover new munition etc... it coud be so great to have this postapocaliptic war with more Vietnam canon combat spirit and maybe go crazy with ZEPLIN or old machine flying around .... but yea MAD MAX style ^^

I work from 7am to 5pm and I bought a new house this year, so i have had next to no time for making videos. I havent even flown in DCS since June 😬. But when the house is organised and my office isnt full of stored furniture I want to get back to making videos.
