Good on you Dylan. I’m getting one of these dual boilers at the end of the month so obviously I’m watching everything and learning from each one of you. Two comments only: I have read often that you should not leave the fresh coffee attached to the machine, so as soon as you attach the group handle you should start the extraction. This is to stop the heat of the machine damaging the coffee. The other point is that I would love to see you weigh the wet puk. It seems to be one of the metrics used. So you would weigh the group handle before attaching and then again after removal from the machine to give you a wet puk weight. Well done.
Froth the milk for 3 seconds less before lowering wand into the milk... you'l get better results as the milk wont be as thick and you'll still get good microfoaming! Pro barista here and i can say this machine is pretty good! Good vid!
You make it look so easy :-) it looks like you’re getting comfortable with that new machine. 😀👍The dual boiler sounds like it gives you a better heated shot then the barista express. I’m always questioning whether I should steam the milk first or dial the shot in firs but it seems I get a better heated drink if I wait and steam last with the BBE.
I am definitely getting used to the new machine and it’s definitely fun and easy to use! And I would highly recommend for best results in my personal use to pull the shot first then steam the milk! I feel like what you stated is so true because the drink stays hotter that way!
Last time I watched I gave a like for the bar, now I'm liking as you've got the same setup as me :-) I've had mine for a few months now. But need to get a distribution tool I think. Enjoy!
I just got this machine, (the Dual Boiller) and I am not getting 9 bars pressure, only gettering about three to four bars. I wonder if there is something I am doing wrong, as I am new to espressos at home. I bought the Bambino, returned it, and I got the dauble boiler instead. My Niche grinder is in order, and coming, hopefully next month, so for now I am having to buy my coffee at sprouts and grinding it there, with there machine. So I go there like every other day so as to not have a lot of grinded up coffee at home. Hopefully is something that I am doing wrong as to not to return the machine.
If you are interested I offer a one on one barista training for an hour and would love to show you what you need to know to pull great shots of espresso at home! But most likely it’s either A. Not fresh beans B. Not fine enough C. Not enough grams
Have you done a video with the dual boiler without using the niche but rather the pre built grinder in breville barista of the breville grinder that’s separate?
This is a gorgeous machine! I love it so much and am so thrilled you were able to get one! I also love how meticulous you are about cleanliness. I'm the same way, cleaning my space, wiping things down as I go along. I like how there's a face in the drip tray; did you notice that?
That’s so funny! I didn’t even notice the face until you said that. Also, yes my husband is very meticulous about cleanliness which is great for me haha ☺️
Thank you so much! I absolutely love this machine as well as the barista express! They are both fantastic and I’m glad I was able to grab the dual boiler for all of you to see a different machine! And cleanliness always my top priority! Ginger Lily thank you so much for your continued support to my channel! I really do appreciate you!

Great video mate.. Question, The pressure on my machine never gets close to what yours just did and we need to thoroughly clean every granule from the basket before each use otherwise it wont release coffee at all. we use pre ground coffee so that could be the problem, but everything else is the same, Any advice would be appreciated. cheers
Hello Dylan, thank you for interesting content on this channel. May I ask you, whether you had an opportunity to compare Breville Dual Boiler machine with some E61 machine? What is the heat-up time for the machine. Is it capable to do espresso and milkbased bavarages in the same quality as Linea Mini, for lets say 6 guests? Thank you very much.
@@DylansHomeEspressoBar Well that makes sense…Neither one of us knew why, but we were certain you did it for a darn good reason! Hey dylan! Love the channel. I am having troubles with my Breville Dual boiler.. More so probably something i am doing haha. So what happens is. When i pull a shot. The shot comes through very watery and doesn't appear to be extracting the coffee very well. I have tried making the grind finer and also more coarse . I have tried weighing the grinds out . as my machine wont reach 9 lb pressure . Hovers around 5 lb pressure. What am i doing wrong? the machine isnt very old . I have noticed that if i put the dual wall basket in the portafilter that the pressure rises higher but not to 9 lb . Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Will
I would try putting the blind basket in the portafilter. This is that rubber piece that you slide into your portafilter and I would see if your machine goes to nine bars. If not I definitely think you should contact Breville‘s customer support because something is wrong. However, if you do the step and you do reach nine bars of pressure, you need to make your grind finer. I hope this helps and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Also, thank you so much for supporting me in my channel. Welcome to the family

Have you considered rancilio?
Honestly the grinder would want to be good for near 1800 dollars Australian . It's obscenely expensive.
Havent found that mine produces a hot espresso shot. Generally around 90. Fine otherwise.

The reason I transfer is because it helps incorporate the microcofoam and smoothen the milk and also allows for all the air pockets to be taken out
Genuine question. Why do you take your steamed milk from one jug and pour it into another?
Helps incorporate your microfoam to allow for a more uniform milk texture
@@DylansHomeEspressoBar oh ok. Just seems weird as the milk has already been rolled to incorporate.
