- In today's video Martin and I are going to be tackling an INSANE short shifter for my E30! This thing feels way better than the old sloppy shifter that it used to have. We also put on some RARE skirts, a step closer to completing the exterior. Hope you guys enjoy!

I upgraded to the DSSR in mine since I'm doing the 5-speed swap and it really makes it nice and stiff even with a z3 short shifter. Also I have seen those zender skirts go for like 500 or less usually. Was a pair on eBay too, they look nice though.
I have to get that DSSR very soon! I luckily got my Zender skirts for $400!

I had the same issue when I installed my shifter it was hitting my drive shaft so I made a plate to raise to shifter base up and solved the noise you are hearing.
That’s another way of fixing it!
I pressed the output flange out from that ballancer with a hydraulic press. Makes taking the driveshaft out easier too!

You can just chop off the vibration damper on the driveshaft, to prevent the DSSR from rubbing on it.
That’s what i was thinking of doing!

Thanks dude! Definitely have switched my channel to a more Oakes style of recording and have it more raw and less fancy editing.
Used to have a 240Z. I just cut the stick in half. I was able to change gears with my thumb holding onto the console. Distance b/w the 5 speed shifts was small.

For the side skirts
Get a shifter bushing kit for that thing, my old e30 had the same issue with reverse, super annoying

It is threaded but the thread is huge, so I don’t think a PBM one will fit sadly.

Yes! We’ve been slammed with G35 and E30 things lately! The IS300 was getting a lot
of love so we needed to slow it down haha. We’re back on it this Sunday with a HUGE surprise.

Not gunna like. You’re not going to like in the long run. I’m an e30 drifter. And I went back to oem after one drift event. Too sturdy too stiff hard to find neutral
