E30 E36 Short Throw Shifter Install !

What’s up guys ! Today we installed a short shifter I got off amazon on my e30 , procedure should be about the same on an E36 as well. Really simple install and great product so far ! Hope this was of some help for you , leave a comment like and subscribe !

I tried installing an after market short shifter in my 1986 325e and it did not fit and sit. Is there a specific size or something I’m overlooking?
Is there a specific size or place I need to get it from?
