    I really wish someone would do one of these on Best System for starting players. Specifically, finding a system with the most variety of resources (assuming you've leveled the right traits for building) in an unaligned / lower-level system. I forget which one I'm working on right now, but it's a L20 that starts with a G I believe. It seems to have a good range (including all the important resources) of things to mine, but you Do need to have leveled up building due to the extreme environments. Oh and the big reason I say it should Also be an unaligned system is that if this is going to be your home area, then you need a place where you can go to clear that bounty no matter what faction you've earned it from. I had first started building in Alpha Centauri, but quickly found that one little misnomer can have even the Den shooting at you. I think I wasted like 30 minutes jumping around looking for a place to clear myself only to end up racking up another bounty because they detected my contraband when I jumped in. So I made a rule to have at least One base that's out of everyone's reach.

    i needed this video of yours to help locate future outpost locations as i venture out. since i've unlocked more of the planet scanning or surveying skills you can go back to other planets to get the other higher tiered resources located (like you said around 21:43) so it certainly helps later on for outposts and where to try and optimize the extractors. gold star for you my friend

    Note: Your vanilla scanning of planets won’t reveal this detail of resources. You have to unlock the and develop the ability to perform detailed scans that show where all these resources are. Vanilla you can typically see 2-3 resources on the planet surface and it’s not very detailed. When you unlock the skill and upgrade you’ll get more detail like you see at 3:18. Just FYI. I spen hours trying to find perfect locations to mine multiple resources. Unlock and upgrade the skill and the process gets much easier.

    Thanks good vid!
    BUT, the maps are IDENTICAL for each player so it would be helpful to see both blue (topo with height dots) map and a look-around of the surrounding.
    I've managed to land in exactly the same spot of a video, and one from reddit;
    1. The planet resource map, you need to be spot on which is doable. (no need for extra levels)
    2. The video should show a walk from the ship to the spot, so you can reference landmarks (not POI because those differ per person)
    3. the blue topo map.
    (Imagine if you could send your crew to find a spot)

    Simply land check the outpost if it’s good then your good, just keep popping all over the planet and make the big landing pad on every outpost, make sure you use a hauler and take all rare stuff to the lodge you can fast travel right to the door and a short walk with over 10k weight haha and can make tons and tons of rare stuff and then store it in the lodge

Only building mode for outpost construction is handled separately, governed by a different skill where the capstone cuts outpost construction by 50%.

      Just need them to stop slowing the game down on purpose and give us a skill that raises the vendors credit limits at least or just raise them for everyone. Like 5k on average with a few 12.5k 11k vendors here and there. Sure, maybe at the beginning of the game that's okay. But endgame on very hard you find guns that will take an entire 12.5k in 1 sell. That or give us a way to speed up wait times to make it less painful.
