The worship of Donald Trump has become, like, actually blasphemous. Comparing him to Christ? Saying that God bows down to him? Calling him perfect when the whole central idea of Christianity is that no one is without sin? Whatever happened to not worshipping false idols?

Especially since the guy cheated on all three of his wives. And constantly steals money. He had to pay back $2m from a charity he stole from. Had to pay out for his scam university. Tricked people into joining an actual pyramid scheme like someone you once knew in high school. All he does is covet! He has been sued by business partners for both screwing them over and sexually harassing the wife/partner. And they worship him breaking the first and second commandments they’re supposed to follow

If there's anything I learned from growing up religious, it's that God doesn't bow to _anyone._ It seems he doesn't think he can make mistakes and be wrong, and doesn't need to apologize for causing tons of children to feel worthless enough that they wish death upon themselves. I wouldn't worship that guy even if he did exist. He'd have to work looong and hard to redeem himself. He let people get hurt. He thought no one else other than his worshippers were worth saving during the flood, despite there probably being kids among the crowd.

      It’s also blasphemous to Jesus.
“I am the way, the truth and the life. There is no path to the father other than through me.”

  • @panconqueso9269
    @panconqueso9269 Год назад +433

11:50 I’m with Robin on this.
No one is trying to force people to be part of the lgbtq+ community, what we are trying to do is make information more accessible, so it doesn’t seem alien to people. Because it shouldn’t be.
My mother is Mormon, so I was forced to go to church. I didn’t even know I had other options, I was just supposed to do what I was told, obey my parents and stuff. It wasn’t until I stared lashing out on church, because I was a child that didn’t know how to manage their emotions of frustration, and also doing stuff like falling asleep again in the morning, and making my mother loose time that at some point she said “no more” and didn’t make me go again. She still tried to manipulate me into going, by trying to make me feel like a bad person, but I said no and it was final.
I was never told anything about gay people, sexuality and learning to find my identity. I had to learn that on my own, sometimes getting misinformed online, or putting myself in danger because I was still a kid.
I don’t want people to go through that process, and I imagine many people on the community don’t want that either. We want people to get the validation and support they need, and to feel good on their own skin, and have at least that basic knowledge available for them ❤

Took a while for me to realize I'm pansexual, but when I did so many thing made sense. I realized that the awkwardness I felt around some girls was the same awkwardness I felt around boys I liked or thought were cute. Exact freaking same. It wasn't just social anxiety: I am pansexual. I can be attracted to girls, boys, and anything in between (human and around my age or older, obviously.. and also alive). Finally felt like I knew what was going on with me. It was freeing. Wanna know how I found out? I started googling shit. Nobody forced me to. I was curious one day so I started googling things. Hell, I hadn't even had much contact with people from the LGBTQ community, as far as I know! I was 11, and went from small town to small town my whole life. Very few gay people in places like that. Met a few, was confused by it because I'm an oblivious autistic person, but someday I found out more about the community. There's still a lot I don't know. But absolutely none of this was forced upon me. I'm happy, that's what matters. My religion wasn't even forced on me because my parents have different views: Dad's atheist, Mom's Christian. But I know plenty of people who had religion forced down their throats, like my mom for example. So, as soon as she was old enough to do what SHE wanted, she bought a religion textbook and studied religions from around the world. Ended up remaining a Christian, but a very open-minded one.

Yeah, I was raised Christian. Never had a choice about going to church- not going was just unthinkable. Heck, as an ADULT my mom wanted to LOCK ME IN THE VAN because I wouldn't attend a church service with the family. (It was a family trip to attend the funeral of my great grandmother. I attended her funeral service. I just didn't want to go to a regular church service the others wanted to attend before we left for home. And by that point my mother, sister, and bil had been treating me so harshly that I was suicidal.) I was taught homosexuality was a choice, and sinful, etc. I didn't even know what bisexuality was. I was SO confused when I realized I was looking at other girls' butts on the stairs, etc. I had to do research to find out what I even was. There was no one to talk to. No one told me it was okay. Given how the people at church had reacted to finding out I have depression I never DARED to tell them I was bi. I was a lonely mentally-ill teen with no support network who had to figure it out on her own, and I'm still one of the lucky ones because at least when I did come out to my parents I wasn't beaten, kicked out to live on the streets, or killed like some are. In fact it's one of the main reasons I left Christianity. Realizing I'd been lied to about homosexuality being a choice, I started wondering what else I'd been lied to about, which also led to me becoming pro-choice once I was actually willing to listen to other sides of the story and actually listen to my college classes with an open mind. Also, once I had to choose between a lifetime of self-denial, lonliness, and shame but keeping my faith, or finding something to believe that would at least let me love myself, I quite understandably chose the latter because I am not a masochist. I decided that no decent God would create gay people and then decide they were evil for being that way. I decided that no God worthy of worship would be such a sadist. I looked into it and found that the evidence for the Bible is actually hopelessly, tragically bad. It could be laughably bad except it still causes so much harm even today. I learned that there actually is no evidence that people being gay, or society accepting it, leads to any widespread harm at all. Instead it's the rejection of LGBT people that causes harm. And also, I know I would never be able to convince the majority of the Christians to come around to accepting LGBT people. So I really had no reason to even try to stay, because I would never be accepted or happy. I want kids to know about LGBT stuff not because I want them to "choose" it, but because I know some of them will inevitably be LGBT, and they deserve to understand what's going on, to have social support, to be accepted and loved for who they are. I don't want to force any of it on them. I just want the hatred and ignorance that has hurt so many and will continue to hurt people as long as it's allowed to continue to stop.

If God is a perfect being, then why would he demand that we worship him with every ounce of our being? He would understand that the existence of an intangible being of supreme power is hard for many people to believe, and therefore would forgive us. My father turned from the church for their radical beliefs, but he still believes in god, but most importantly, he believes that god is all-forgiving. He is capable of convincing everyone of their wrongdoings and accepting their apologies. I don’t know what could be on the other side, but I hope that if there is someone greater than me, that they understand that faith is sometimes hard to believe over science, and that they can still love me like they would love someone who prays every night.

@@leonardorolingstella8554 Sun worship seems pretty legit. It's birth gave the solar system the gravitational center needed to form from the accretion disc, the light cast by it provided the impetus for chemical reactions that would lead to life and it continues to sustain that life. Plus it's a ridiculously massive ball of fusing chemicals so bright that it can burn your retinas right out from 92 million miles away. It also burns your skin to a crisp if you stay out in the sun without adequate protection. Like, you want a thing to deify? Consider the sun. It created life and can punish you for gazing upon it for too long. Will praying to it do you any good? Absolutely not. It will do nothing, but it's still better than the alternatives, at least we know the sun exists.

As a former Theology Student, 9:09 really grinds my gears.
1)Jesus was neither white nor Christian, he was a Jew from the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea.
    2) The Mother of Jesus was actually called Mariam, Mary is just an anglicized version of the name.
    3) Jesus most likely had brown/black hair and brown eyes.
    4) Fought political correctness - as in dining with sinners and hanging around with the social outcast, defending women accused of adultry?
    5) About the persecution thing - Jesus was right around during a lot of Jewish uproar against the local Roman authorities and some thought he would lead them to "victory" against the Roman "elite" - and as they realized that Jesus, in fact, was not interested in that, they turned and coaxed anybody in power against him, including, but not limited to Jews.
    6) There is no part of the Bible where Jesus is literally laughing... quite sad come to think of it. (I know the sence of the sentence is not to be taken literally, I just wanted to point it out)

20:15 This idea here that Robin states is actually what Jesus taught. He wanted people to appreciate the life and world God provided, to take time to look at the sunset, to enjoy the wonders of the world presented before them. Jesus spoke out against working oneself to death, opposed the idea of working your entire life toiling away at your job, until you are too old, broken, and sickly to do more than sit there and die.
I mean, Jesus was what many may even call a Liberal Socialist back then, a "hippy" even, encouraging people to share, to show compassion to the downtrodden and forsaken. The real Jesus would be hated today, because he is nothing like what the current Bible says he was like or is. He just wanted people to work hard, but ultimately be happy, to stop hating each other and give helping hands to others.
