    I found your channel about 3 weeks ago. I have watched your video's all the way back to 2013. I must say they are very interesting. Very different from Southern Alberta. I very much enjoy your channel, keep up the good work!

      I really like your Drone shots of your large operation and landscape, much different from here. I really love your dedication to farm safety and I can tell you are big on trying to be efficient as you can. I guess we all are as the margins are very thin

    I’m a Canadian fruit grower from Ontario we run a big operation. I love your videos. The difference between your John deers and mine are about 300 horsepower we run speacial orchard tractors made by deer running 75 hp. Being a Canadian we have to be tough when it comes to the weather no cabs on our tractors they don’t fit in the peach orchards with the trees so close. Makes it real cold in the winter cleaning snow but we toughen up by hanging out at the hockey rinks at night. Take care and god bless your family

      Andrew Houriganh Andrew I have to admit a cab would be nice in the winter but we put on our snowmobile suits and googles and balaclavas and away you go. We prune fruit trees outside all winter every day so you just dress for it. It’s real nice when spring comes around though 🌞

    • @FarmingFixingFabricating
      @FarmingFixingFabricating  6 лет назад

      Bob Ivanski we have a couple Apple orchards near us, they do prunning during the winter as well. That's tough work that you orchards guys do.

      Andrew Hourigan Andrew any type of farming is tough. It’s long days there is always going to be stressful times you have to worry about weather all types of things but it’s rewarding working with my father all my life being outside in the clean fresh air the smell of the freshly tilled earth we have a great bunch of employees there is just so much that makes farming enjoyable that I can overlook the negatives. I’m truly blessed to be working with my family and call myself a farmer. I hope you are having a great day god bless.

    Not complaining Andrew, but you had a case of the Mumble's in this video. Either you was mumblin, er I was goin deef, er a bit of both. I any case I enjoy your repair video's. If you look at your shop, & you look at Wess's from One Lonely Farmer you might think you were viewing an episode of Felix & Oscar Go Farming. Ones Neat & Tidy, The other is trashed. Mines a bit in between. It's great that you can do a lot of your repairs In-House. Best of Luck

    • @beowolfgang
      @beowolfgang 5 лет назад +1

      Same bullshit here in Europe - EGR decreases significantly the durability of a engine due to micro particles and adds more complexity and failure potential. My Car also has an EGR - but if i press the pedal to metal - egr is bypassed ;-)

      It depends on how many turbos you have removed in your life time. Sometimes they come right off sometimes the bolts break….

    Hi Andrew I'm new to you're channel I'm actually trying to delete the egr on a mack granite with a mp8 500 in it and at the moment I've only put a plate in front of it. I'm in Australia I can't seem to find much info or kits for it do you or have you heard of anyone deleting it on them over there? Any info would be great. Cheers mate

    • @FarmingFixingFabricating
      @FarmingFixingFabricating  6 лет назад

      northernvicfarmermat unfortunately I don't know anything about a Mack engine. When you unplug your EGR valve the engine light will most likely come on. Try running it like that for awhile, as long as it doesn't start to derate on you, you should be ok. If your cooler isn't letting leave it on there cut off intake tube and cap it somehow. Try to find some plugs to cap off your coolant supply lines that go to your EGR valve. Put some kind of expansion plug in each end of your cooler and I think you'll be fine. The check engine light on a Cummins can be turned off by getting into ECM but it cost some money and some people don't like the light on. Again I don't know anything about a Mack I described what I did to a Cummins ISX. Hope this is helpful I really don't know what you are working with.

    • @northernvicfarmermat
      @northernvicfarmermat 6 лет назад

      No worries mate thanks at the moment I'm just going to block the egr value put everything back on and see if leaving the value plugged in tricks it in too thinking it's doing it thing. If that works I'll block in on the intake side and slowly go from there. Thanks for the advice. You're a talented bloke and its interesting seeing farming practices over there. Have a good one

    • @robertquast9684
      @robertquast9684 5 лет назад +1

      We have a 427 ac Mack. Put a blocker plate in but left valve intact. Truck isn’t smart enough to know the difference no check engine light and it runs 20-30 degrees cooler

    here in Ontario Canada you do not want to do that unless you want huge fines from the MOE (ministry of environment ) being how it is illegal to do that stuff and trust me they do pull trucks over and check them!!
