If it were just people from Mayotte living in Mayotte. The population would go down and the island could be better developed. France needs to encourage Comoros people to go back home with a big one-off money incentive to help the Comoros government reintegrate their people.

Mayotte chose to remain with France. The nearby islands chose independence and mismanaged their affairs. They should build their nation of Comoros and leave Mayotte alone.
