Literally said the exact same thing when I saw these new releases. The year of aluminum. And after Civivi did that first elementum button lock and started to release more and everyone followed going into 2022. We knew it was the year of the button lock. But I appreciate where this influence is coming from and have to give props to the Pyrite. CJRB def deserves some credit for all these beautiful aluminum knives popping up. And good for them! Love their proprietary and actually have a Sea Snake at cross carry and a new Pyrite in my pocket as I type this. They've been killing it. In fact my knife of 2022 is probably the Lago. With a close contender being one a lot of people seemed to hate. The Kizer Cormarant. Love that dang fidgety bastard! Plus I got the Serape which is some beautiful G10.
Agree with the bit of an eyesore about that hook (I thought I was the only one to think that). 😄 I wish they would give texture to the smooth aluminum scales.
That full-flat leaf blade should be a razor. Civivi does grinds and sharpening really well from the factory too. Which is cool, having a good starter ng angle is important.
I grabbed the blue/satin version of the Qubit this morning at WMK before they ran out of stock. I liked the design when i first saw it and was trying to refrain from impulse buying it, but then the reviews started getting posted that were all really positive, and I had to go for it. Thanks for the review!
The green-scale Damascus blade looks sweet! Also, those after-market clips from Civivi are a huge improvement---made my Conspirator look like a completely different knife. Thanks again for all you do! 🤜🤛
Awesome! I ordered this exact model this morning and am excited to get it. I don't like the bottle opener feature either, but the rest looked so good i had to order one. Thanks for the review!
Just got my qubit yesterday in all black. I like the looks and love the size. Bottle opener doesn't look the greatest when closed but it's in my pocket most of the time so it's fine. This is only my second folder with the 1st being a manix2. That thing is just too big for the pocket. Was looking for something smaller and this fit the bill perfectly!
These are now available in Australia !!! Mine shipped yesterday at the Australian release and I can't wait. I got the blue aluminium handle one. The fact that the edge is lower than the handle geometry means that it could double as a food prep knife, and Blue means it'll be great outdoors. Well, I needed any excuse to get one.
I am finally satisfied with my search for a full flat grind, 3-inch knife. The bottle opener is a great bonus, and I no longer need to carry my Swiss Army Knife with a bottle opener. This knife is excellent for slicing fruits, beef steak, and other food prep tasks.😊
I have the green aluminum with the forged demascus blade...its better than a lot of the 200-300 dollar knives i have. Cicivi knocked it out of the park with this and its my new favorite EDC
2:53 Neeves said this are 9 thousandths behind the edge. That's a big difference? I bought mine based on the 9thou BTE exclusively as otherwise I was t interested In the design. Are you sure yours is 14 thou?
Received my new knife earlier today. Detent is so hard my thumb hurts from the thumb studs. The action is very tight as well. When moving the blade by hand it has a gritty travel. I’m hoping I can fix all this by taking it apart and lubing it up. 😒
I liked the relic too but never bought it because of the tooth pick or tweezers or whatever gimmick they had for that one this feels the same I honestly hate alcohol. Maybe just maybe if they made a knife with bud leaf scales I might buy it hehe
I wanted a new knife. One that is cool that I could afford. This Qubit looks great. Nice blade shape. Seems to have great action. But I could not get over the bottle opener. I don't remember the last time I needed a bottle opener. What a waste. I really don't like that Civivi added something so silly and gimmicky to such a cool knife. I ordered a titanium Pyrite instead.... If Civivi gets rid of the bottle opener, or makes a similar knife without the silliness I will buy one, but this one is not for me.. . . Thanks for another great video and all the effort you put in the testing. .. . All your videos are good.
I like the bottle opener!
mine came even thinner 85 thou stock and 9 thou edge, the part that slices through things was between 60 and 70 thou at spine
That is insane.
I think that makes it the sliciest modern knife on the market.

I had to buy the red version. Love that color!!

Serious cutting on that birch. The Qubit in aluminum scales is a winner.

I seen the Quibit online earlier but needed to see a review - and what people thought about that bottle opener. Thanks for the review!
recently ordered two , one for me and my girlfriend and am glad to see only positive rewievs and cant wait to use it myself
Awesome! I ordered this exact model this morning and am excited to get it. I don't like the bottle opener feature either, but the rest looked so good i had to order one. Thanks for the review!
I always like seeing a folder with an edge that drops below the handle line, makes it perfect for food prep.
When you hear the "Man, oh man," you know Stassa is digging a knife
Yep that is 100% correct 👍🍻🍻
Great looking new Civivis. I had to order a Qubit in the blue aluminum. Cannot wait to get it in hand. Thanks Stassa23
I’ve been eying this one! Thanks Stassa 🤘🏻👊🏻
Love the blue scales of the altus. And loving these aluminum scales
Very nice great looking knife! Love that design!!

Just ordered the red one. Wife will be happy it a multitool and not just another knife. 🤗🍻✌️
Oh my! I’m ordering me a Qubit after this video! 🤯😛
Where did you get the aftermarket thumb studs for your Elementum? And did you install it yourself? I would love to do that to mine!

Who in oz has them? Might get one sent to nz
@@Toiletstainz Adventure Carry. Amazing selection of primo gear. I'm sure he can ship to NZ.

love the Qubit but gonna wait to see if they offer it inn the same green color as the Altus
Liking that blue!
I have the green aluminum with the forged demascus blade...its better than a lot of the 200-300 dollar knives i have. Cicivi knocked it out of the park with this and its my new favorite EDC
Awesome!
I’m surprised the size looks closer to the Drop Bear which is fine for me. Do the aluminum scales feel like the ones on the drop bear?
For what these cost and the quality of Civivi, I want one. I’ll never use the bottle opener, but it’s a cool thing to have if you ever need one
How’s the quality vs the Pyrite and Racoon
2:53 Neeves said this are 9 thousandths behind the edge. That's a big difference? I bought mine based on the 9thou BTE exclusively as otherwise I was t interested In the design. Are you sure yours is 14 thou?
Eye sore or cap lifter? I waited the whole video for your to open a beer with it 😂
Bro that notch in the closed position is a bottle opener 😂😂😂
Curious how this would carry compared to a Para 3 lightweight.
Received my new knife earlier today. Detent is so hard my thumb hurts from the thumb studs. The action is very tight as well. When moving the blade by hand it has a gritty travel. I’m hoping I can fix all this by taking it apart and lubing it up. 😒
Finally got it worked in a bit. Detent is a bit stiff but much better. I like it! 😘
So it’s not a bottle opener when closed?
Bit off topic, but I wonder if opening bottles with a black coated version will wear the coating off..
The Qubit is thinner and slicier than the altus, correct?
That weird hook area near pivot is a bottle opener no? 😂😂
I liked the relic too but never bought it because of the tooth pick or tweezers or whatever gimmick they had for that one this feels the same I honestly hate alcohol. Maybe just maybe if they made a knife with bud leaf scales I might buy it hehe
Qubit stands for quantum bit… not sure why they didn’t just call it quantum. Sounds cooler and flows much better Having the Elementum and the Quantum.
I would absolutely buy this knife if it didn't have the bottle opener on it
Needs a non black blade or a Damascus option for the black.
Don’t like the “bottle opener”, but it is a good looking knife
I wanted a new knife. One that is cool that I could afford. This Qubit looks great. Nice blade shape. Seems to have great action. But I could not get over the bottle opener. I like the look of a lot of civivi knifes and own a few. However I wish they did more variety of steels. It’s just the same old same old
Battle of the Blades: Qubit or the Altus?
Nice knife but too small for me
Everyone seems to be going ga-ga over the Qubit, but it just doesn't do anything for me. I prefer the look/style of the Altus much more.
wow that's to bad. Good luck everyone
It's the Shaman blade shape ... but not a shaman by any means
8:07 lol no you clearly don't understand, thats the bottle opener part dude.
Bottle opener!
So am I the only one that thinks the "bottle opener" is complete BS and a good excuse for a design flaw? That thing will destroy pockets!!
No! It was never designed as a bottle opener. The Ally scales will get chewed to pieces! 😂
Nope totally agree.
It's ugly as hell and ruins the profile of the knife. Rather use decided bottle opener.
I like the knife but I’m literally not gonna buy it because of that
I don’t drink beer. I never use a bottle opener.
💀..just curious.., why d'ya favor such teentsy knives..??..~Thx..~Peace
Calling it a bottle opener sounds like taking a short cut.
I'll have 5 of them for one low payment of $19.95 please and thank you
You can't use knives everyday and accept metal scales !
The Altus is JUNK. My button lock siezed up within a week and is borderline impossible to depress now, I'll never buy another Civivi.
This knife is a total gimmick
Why?
