I'm sick right now and I literally can't get out of bed because of fever. It's hard not to think about all the things that I'm not doing (working out, cleaning my home, studying etc.) and sometimes I definitely AM hard on myself. But my body really needs rest and I can't be anxious or angry for this. So thanks for this reminder Anna ♥️

For colds, I think some research showed that foods rich in zinc can help shorten the length of the cold. (E.g. some meat, seafood and diary products, chickpeas and other legumes, cashews and almonds, tofu)
Luckily I regularly eat almonds and or cashews. eating those legumes or fish/ seafood a few times weekly that's another story... I really do think variation in your veggies plus regularly having citrus/agrumes foods and apples and kiwi ( almost) daily keep the doctor away... maybe the fact that I go for the Exotic juice [ of a wellknown brand starting with T] with guave and lemon instead of the " classic" multivitamines mix with mango is an explantion as to why I rarely caught serious fevers... YOUR vitamin C uptake will be better with food containing IRON so they say combine it with cereal. But BROCCOLI contains a lot of vit.C aswell as zinc and Iron Also Bell Peppers and cooked kale and Brussels sprouts may not be what think of first as " high in vitamin C" but they are vitamin C rich . Really needed to hear this after being sick for a month. I finally found out I have hyperthyroidism so I can get it treated now. I recently got a cold now too which is so much worse when there’s something else going wrong. I keep blaming myself but how was I supposed to know that I would get sick. Viruses are invisible and genetic disorders are completely out of your hands, so don’t feel guilty for either. Let’s all get better together ❤️🤧

These are some really good tips! The light stretching rather than sweaty workouts doesn't work for everyone though. More than likely, for a lot of people it does. However, when I'm sick I like to exercise because I usually have a lot of mucus that sits in my throat. Standing up, walking, or dancing usually helps with it... FOR ME.

I’ve been working out strictly and I think my body get used to it but then one day I worked out seven days before my period and I get insomnia….then game over! I fell sick catch a cold period pain and have to taking a leave for two days.😢Don’t over work yourself
I don't know if it's just me but, when I have the flu, I ALWAYS do one of Anna's super sweaty workouts and I swear it instantly goes away. I asked my doctor abt this and she told me that when we do cardio exercises, our blood and oxygen circulates better and, through the sweat, you get detoxed, not forgetting that we produce endorphins so we feel way better than before.
That’s very nice! I can barely keep down soup with the flu and move slowly. I just wait it out and get plenty of rest. Crazy how different our bodies can be.
It can actually be really dangerous to workout while sick. You can get myocardotis. I've known someone who died because of that. Please google "myocardotis sport flu" or something similiar and you'll find that it can actually be very dangerous for your heart to do sports while sick.
One mistake I used to make when sick was pushing myself to do hard I intense workouts which would honestly just call for a longer recovery. So this is so true allow yourself to rest even if you feel unproductive or lazy rest is essential
This came to help just at the right time. I have had a throat ache since yesterday (identical to one that I had when I got sick a month ago) and have an annoying headache for about 9hours now. Ruined my day

When I feel I am getting sick I try my best to stay as cold as possible, because being sick means skiping school and that keeps my heart warm.
