This had once been my most powerful melody, I was in a hostile environment and in an extremely difficult situation in life, prone to suicide or any other mad act, yet I knew this melody and that piece, I had it on any time in my earphones, long ago, and it gave me such courage that I went through all of it, in fact I sometimes laughed about the situation, and I knew I just had to go through it, it was the only thing of help at the time, it lifted me up in the worst of circumstances, it gave me a determination to reach outside of where I was, even the title of the song was helpful, last train home, I knew that would take me home, and not sure it was this piece of music or any other higher force, I got there where I headed to be. Each time when I listen to it I am moved, and if I were to choose a piece for any circumstance of life, it would be right this one, what a fantastic group of musicians of and around Pat Metheny.
