I’ve been dreaming of painting these cabinets dark since the day I found the marble! In todays video I’m sharing the entire process from start to finish and it’s pretty DARN GOOD!

Not only is that paint color in the kitchen attractive, but it was also a smart choice because it ties in with the stained wood throughout the home. So it's attractive and cohesive.

Amen to that. I have cherry cabinets and I wouldn't change them for anything.
I love a white cabinet, but it has to make sense with the counter tops and back splash. In this case, that deeper color is exactly what it should be. It just works. I will say, I'm over gray walls and cabinets. It's so over done.

I think the colour is very elegant and definitely not "trendy" at all, in the best way, but potentially trendsetting. It brings out the natural tones of the marble beautifully and complements the rich wood throughout your home 🤎

Coat hanger drying rack is brilliant. I had my kitchen cabs painted by a pro and he had a stackable system. great job I learn so much by watching. You did pick a beautiful color. BOLD AND RICH

I personally love the brown! I think green cabinets are more trendy and overdone whereas brown is more neutral and timeless while still adding contrast. I also think the brown matches the Spanish-Revival theme of your house

It’s my biggest struggle! It’s so hard to gauge if you’ll love a swatch on the entire wall 😅
@@lonefox My Mom is so good at picking paint colors. Her rooms alway look fantastic. I have an Interior Design degree and I always seem to pick the same colors because it is safe and I don't feel foolish if I get out of my comfort zone. Funny isn't it?

Think about leaving the wall behind the coffee bar shelves the dark brown you painted them, that will allow your glassware or coffee press or coffee maker to be the star of the shelf. Load some of the shelves with items and see how you like it. You can always put the marble up later. It might be too busy w the items on the shelves in front of the marble. Just a thought. Also the color you chose is beautiful.
More marble is going up? I agree to step away from the marble. A lot can be used in large kitchens, but in a galley kitchen, I think this has reached it's limit.

Agreed. There is already a LOT of marble and it's a busy pattern so things in front of it will just be lost and it will end up looking cluttered.

@@tracygarrett3952 that’s a good question, I guess it depends on what he’s putting on the shelf. I was thinking his kuerig or jars w coffee beans in them or mugs. If he’s using clear glass items, they wouldn’t show!

I’ve been waiting for this video because I was obsessed with your white cabinets (I only like white on intricate cabinets) and really got sad when I first heard you say you were painting them! But this brown is EVERYTHING! It’s so old world and perfect for the house. The biggest problem I see when people renovate is they try to make the house something that it’s not.

I almost didn't watch this one but I'm so very glad I did. We're in the middle of painting the entire house while our listing is paused. We had many viewings and 2 horrendously low offers. The feedback prompted us to step up our game. We have painted 2 bedrooms and have been working on the bathroom and feeling very overwhelmed at all the work yet to be done. I have seen paint sprayers and assumed you had to have a compressor (way beyond our budget) to use them. Then boom, your video showed up on my feed today and changed everything! I cannot thank you enough for sharing this, we're now excited to pick up a sprayer tomorrow and get everything done much faster, easier and with a far more professional result. I was convinced I was going to hate the kitchen cabinet color. But lo and behold it actually came out stunningly beautiful.

Really surprised you tore out that tile but now I can see why and how much the your cabinet color has brought out the brown/gold tones that were more or less hidden in the marble for a more enriching feel. Amazing what color can do.

The brown is this dramatic moody old world sort of feel. It looks fantastic with the marble, love the open shelving idea, cannot wait to see it finished.
Your backyard is really bare, wanna tear out the concrete, maybe add cute cobblestone and grass or some soft of greenery, especially to hide that blue wall.
That colour brings out the colour of the marble and the marble gives a lovely neutral tone to the cabinets you chose so well!, it looks absolutely beautiful
