This is something that my grandma does but I find it funny. So when me or my siblings/cousins would argue with each other she would start singing a song about being kind to everyone. It really annoyed all of us so we stopped fighting with each other in case she heard us and sung it again.😂

One time my family had everything arranged for me to spend spring break with my grandma in another state, but I finally got caught forging my dad's signature on a bad math progress report so the trip was canceled. My grandma apparently got mad at my mom, but it worked.

This is not a weird punishment, but it’s weird.... my family would get a 2 jars, one my name and one my bros and she would put a certain amount of marbles in the jar for chores like crashing the dishes were like four or something and once our jar was full we got to go to a store and pick out a toy or toys that added up to 30 bucks or something. Just something to think about for your kids bc I was a cleaning freak just for some Barbie stuff 😂

I think his description of cruel came from his emotions towards what his mother did to keep him in line, most of them actually made me laugh a lot.

When I was in between the ages of 4 and 6, whenever I did something wrong, my parents would give me a small punishment, and I would punish myself harder than they could at that point. If they told me to go to the time out corner, I would cry and sit there all day. If they yelled at me for doing something wrong, I would hurt myself and run to my room. I wasn't a bad kid by any means, but I would punish myself harder than my parents could. Think about that for a moment.
