phenomenal album! i definitely relate to your sentiment about feeling confused as to why this isn't more popular, the only thing that makes sense to me is that this was his first independent album he released off of his own label, so there wasn't a huge label push from some other company. that doesn't make me love it any less though! i guess it'll have to be a gem that i have to share with the world myself

Amazing album, one of those where the artist shoots a very ambitious shot and nails everything he tried.

Since you really enjoyed this album, if want to do more Big K.R.I.T. then K.R.I.T. Wuz Here should be the next album of his that you do. Its got a good mix of hype tracks and introspective ones and you can feel his hunger to "make it" throughout the album.

Make sure if you recommend the mixtapes to let him know they're heavily edited for streaming so he gets the best possible 1st listen and not the watered down version

Absolutely agree. Big KRIT did a show near where I live in Seattle years ago when I worked at a hotel nearby the venue. Out of nowhere he comes down and asks for a room key and I am just so in shock I play it cool and just make the key but man I couldn’t get out anything else. I feel like he is one of if not the most absolutely the most underrated rap artist today. I grew up listening to 4eva N a Day off of Datpiff. That one is incredible as well

Krit’s career not booming when it was supposed to was because of Def Jam, the label he was signed to. Great artist. Top 10 from the last 15 years.

You just have to react to Game Theory and Undun albums both made by The Roots and are both also pretty amazing, I think you’ll do an amazing job at breaking down the stories for both, especially Undun🙏

If you're doing the new Smino album today. It's short, so you could add another short album, like RAP Music by Killer Mike. Now wouldn't that be a surprise.

Glad that you enjoyed the album, it was really nice to revisit it again.
I remember the first time I recognized his name was when he rapped on Underground Airplay way back in like 2013 or so. Joey Bada$$ was on the same track and I was a fan of his, but I thought Big Krit was fire on that. Heard him again on ASAP Rocky's 1 Train (I forget which one I heard first). But man, loved his stuff since then. Cadillactica might still be my favorite album of his despite how good this one is...Hope you find some time to listen to that in the future sometime too (The deluxe version lol).

This is probably a long shot, but you should take a listen at Shaboozey's album "Where I've Been, Isn't Where I'm Going". It's definitely more country than hip-hop, and I'd understand if one would feel skeptical about it, but personally after having listened to 4eva Is A Mighty Long Time (especially especially the second disc), listening to Shaboozey's album (which still is relatively in the same vein musically as this album, given its country and southern hip-hop sound) feels most natural. Besides, Shaboozey's album is really really good, coming from somebody who never really was into country! You should check it out, I'm sure you'd be interested!

You need to listen to some of his mixtapes - I know It's Better This Way would be another one you really like the messaging in along with the sound. I hope he is able to return to that level of output, his last 5 years have been pretty mediocre sadly

No you're not the oddball. This is an incredible album. But what's popular and what's actually quality are two totally different things. There's a lot of albums that are garbage but they're popular and there's albums like this that are incredible and no one's heard of it. It's not you it's the music industry

@@ProdJakera please be kind especially when you’re talking about the legacy of someone. I think Juice had a insane impact on the rap scene in such a short time. Knowing that this is his last album and Bob only reacted on GBGR, i think he definitely deserves a 2nd album review, which bob will like i think. Not to forget that TPNE is on #1 in spotify charts with big numbers and features on it.

@@samr5857 I am being kind. this is not a juice wrld album. it's a collection of songs that juice wrld himself chose not to release. it's taking something that he did not want presented to the world and putting it out anyway against his wishes for the sole purpose of profiting off of his tragic demise. this isn't legacy, this is capitalist greed incarnate

@@samr5857 what impact did he have? He was extremely influenced by Kanye and Cudi and while kind of ok, his work is nowhere near the level of most of the albums Bob has listened to.
