Ray, I'd like to give you some extra hugs for this. I am legally blind and have bad knees so trooping out to such a place would be hard. You have a wonderful eye for capturing what you find. It's like a real person nature video. Helps those of us who can't be there feel like a part of it all. Thank you.
Very beautiful video. So many colors, I bet Ann had a great time taking pictures for her collection. I saw the one last year and every one is just as great. Thank you for a great great video Ray. You have out done yourself!!!!!!!!!
Beautiful video.....isn't the world amazing! I miss being on the island but will be visiting Campbell River area at the end of June and so looking forward to it!
The little yellow critter towards the end looked to be a Nudibranch, (14:16,) maybe. Great footage, time lapse on the urchins. Tide pools are fascinating
Wow, Amaizing. That is one low tide indeed! How beautiful!! Thank You very for this. Marvellous cam shots. Love the resolution and colours. Can you see what you film during the underground shooting?
Well, we've been watching you Ray for a while and a bit. I must say that this pictorial was beautiful, medicinal and one for saving. You two are a wonderful experience and we will enjoy the adventures you bring to us. Inspired to venture and make memories now ourselves. thx
You normally have some extreme tides if remember correctly. I was at April Point traveling on a 48' Grand Banks. Didn't stay long as we headed up Desolation Sound to some interesting places including one harbor full of Sand Dollars about half living, the balance perfect shells. Very interesting trip
Love the ocean shores for all the interesting life and vibrant colours. I'm sure you know the interesting fact about barnacles. ;) Is any/all of the shellfish safe to eat there? Sometimes here, clams and other stuff aren't safe due to algae blooms and other toxins. Beautiful sunset.
That area is permanently closed to shell fish harvesting as far as I know so guess not safe www.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/fm-gp/contamination/sani/a-s-13-eng.html#13.3_1586
Very cool, Ray. I was also tuned into the low tide. Photographically documented the bottom of our marina at slack tide. Lowest I've seen it here in Ladner. High tide was also impressive.
Greetings Ray. if you have a 4X4 Dodge climb under and put a wire tie on the ends of the Transfer case shift linkage. Weak link!!! Learned the hard way today that the linkage will fall off!!!!!
People eat sea urchins. They call it Uni when they do. RUclips has videos on catching and cooking/ eating them. Have you ever had them Ray? Can't say I have but Id like to think I would if I could. I don't know but you might need a license to take them locally.
See last years video of the same place with location information - www.loveyourrv.com/exploring-the-vancouver-island-tide-pools-willow-point-reef/
Enjoying what this great planet has to offer. Excellent. :-)))). :-))))
Thanks for the unique look at the local sea life. What a beautiful place to live!

Wonderful video, thanks for sharing!
Amazing, I never knew the tide could get so low and exposed so much!! Thanks for the tutorial
Yes, low tide that day was 0 feet and high tide was 14.4 feet. Quite the difference!
Thank you for sharing. I have never seen urchins like that or such a variety of sea stars.
Wow, your best video since you guys got locked up in Canada, well done!!
Stunning
It really is!
The colours are amazing!
They are!
Beautiful! Thanks for showing what is in the water around there.
Beautiful video.....isn't the world amazing! I miss being on the island but will be visiting Campbell River area at the end of June and so looking forward to it!
What a beautiful trip to the seashore during the ultra low tide.
Great photography Ray - thanks for taking us all with you. :)

Thanks :) No, can't see the live footage. My action cam has a WiFi option to view live but the water blocks its signal.
Wow! Great video Ray.
Thanks!
Just fascinating to see and perfect timing to catch it all. Thanks, Ray!
Wow, didn’t realize so much colorful life exists in the sea. Thanks for sharing it with us 👍😃

Beautifully captured - thank you!
I sure do miss the water. You should work for the tourism department. When the border opens. 🤗

Mine is electronic shift on the fly 4WD. I didn't think there was linkage? but don't know much about it.
Wooza!!! How big are the starfish? Are you able to harvest the purple urchins like in California?
Lou & Angie
Most were around 8 inches, but some over a foot. Yes, I see people out there raking urchins up and taking them away in bags. :)
@@LoveYourRV We are truly excited to visit Canada. Seeing the beautiful scenery is very encouraging.

I've tried it at the sushi bar but not my cup of tea. :) I've seen people out there with rakes harvesting them.
I take it you’re not allowed to collect and eat the sea urchin’s?
I've seen people out there with rakes harvesting them. I think there is a daily limit you can take.
