Tony my dude if you really like hunter X hunter opening to the point of listening it daily you should really check out the live version by Galneryus or in general you shoul react to every song of this band they just NEVER miss, every song is a gorgeous piece of art
I was lucky enough to catch them live in Atlanta in 2019, they sounded amazing even in some small little theater where they were playing a condensed set as part of some 2 day event, the name of the event escapes me though. Absolutely killed it, and if I ever get to Japan I'm timing it so I can see them live there too. Their albums are truly an experience, too.
Fun fact: Syu (guitar) was a former Violinist in his first years of life (there are couple of pictures of him playing as a young kid, like 4 years old.)I really enjoy those reacts as a big fan.
And in his first band at early age, he played drums. Only then he switched to guitar. I can assume Syu can play almost any basic instrument.
@@OneBuckShort420Had a professor who specialized in piano but could play the drums. I guess that if you have some level of handling of your bandmate's instrument, you can get a better feel for their challenges abd it must help with composing too. Btw I wouldn't be surprised if Galneryus vocalist knew some guitar and/or piano.

When I lived in Japan I actually got to see Galneryus live 2 times, and the second time I actually got to go backstage and meet SYU because before the show in Shibuya, I went to a guitar shop and the employee knew SYU personally and gave him a phone call.

Same. If Galneryus came to the US, I'd pay a lot of money to see them. Doesn't look like it happens often though, 2019 in Atlanta being the last time they played here it seems like.
This song is like 70% based on Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin in D major... Intro, Chorus, Solos... It's amazing how they made a perfect mix of metal and classical music!! Actually is not that uncommon, you can see bands like Angra and Symphony X doing that a lot
metal mix classical music is called neoclassical metal, there lot band with that genre

Yep they are still touring, infact they are actually doing a 20th anniversary tour (since there first album the flag of punishment was released in 2003)
Well, that main solo is pretty much note-for note the violin solo from the third movement of Tchaikovsky's viloin concerto, so you could at that if you wanted a transcription, at least the first half. Syu does his own thing after that. 🤘

criminally underrated band
This band is still continuing its activities. Most recently, they have scheduled a tour with dates including Kumagaya on October 22nd, Saitama on the 24th, Yokohama on the 26th, Nagoya on the 28th, followed by Niigata, Kanazawa, Fukuoka, Osaka, Hiroshima, Sapporo, Sendai, Singapore, Taiwan, and Tokyo, keeping them busy with tours throughout the rest of the year.

And I have been to their live 3 more times since. They are still touring but only in Japan currently for their 20th Anniversary!

Great reaction and breakdown. Now i think it would be interesting if you see a different side of galneryus with The older singer yama-b (although they change themselves a lot). I recommend you to SILENT REVELATION-the Studio version or The 2007 live. They Created 5 albums and a few EPs with The older singer and 9 albums with some EPs with The Current singer (SHO). Also SHO the singer is now 56. He was 46 or 47 around this live. It's Crazy

@@danny2595 I'm not too outside the community. I marched dci in my day. Tenors. Taught College drumline for 4 years, was a high school marching band director for 11 years and am now the musical director for the Seahawks Drumline. Been with the NFL Drumline 13 seasons. Speaking of dci, I go to finals every year to be a fan but I still drum as part of my day to day. 😏

I have a question, why do you not use flac files? I know that its a tall order to get everything bit perfect and to have studio level audio reproduction and even most studios dont care an infinite amount about audio mixing but I just think itd seem a bit more "professional" to atleast use the highest quality master you can find.

No disrespect to the other Galneryus members but that band is the miracle meeting of two Godly talents that are Sho (Masatoshi Ono) as a vocalist and Syu that is probably one of the top guitarist we ever got to see.

Recently found out about your channel and ive been binge watching all your old videos for like hours straight. If I could recommend an artist I'd recommend Rokudenashi, they're EXTREMELY underrated. Blizzard is my favorite song from them.
Please listen to the video, Destiny, by the same band. They are considered one of the very best metal/power metal bands in Japan. All of their tracks are good. Honestly just listening through their albums is one of my favorite things to do.
