@@A1000-b9s they're popular because they're good. That's like asking people why they would recommend a bacon cheeseburger. And hey I recommended Glory! It's right near the top of that playlist. Most people who like Galneryus don't even know about that song. It's a great song. The followers also isn't very popular but I recommended it anyway. It shows that they're capable of more than just a certain area of music. He's basically singing opera in that song, and the music style is a bit different from what they're used to playing. And that base solo was freaking amazing in that song. I loved that part!
I'm so happy you're reacting to my song! I first heard Galneryus from HxH and this was the first song after that that hooked me right away. All the members are great musicians and their songs give a nice energy boost. Thanks for the reaction Tony! ❤ Edit: Yeah speechless was how I felt when I first heard it too, it was mesmerizing. Oh and if you didn't already know Syu, the guitarist and lead, has a background with classical music and you definitely notice it in the composition. "Angel of Salvation", another easy recommend, is probably one of the best examples of his classical touch in my opinion.

He's not Underrated, just not well known worldwide. In japan tho? He's a guitar legend... many new metal band refer him as one of the most influential metal guitarist in Japan.

I've been listening to them for a while and I can never choose I favorite, I always find smt new and even better. Yeah, Galneryus is just incredible. And yes, I know them from HxH. They're so good, my brother thought for sure half of it was synthesized and edited in (first time seeing them on actual video now). I'm like, nah, I think they're guitarist is just that good, man.
Oh, I'm glad someone request this band since Galneryus is on of the best neoclassical power metal in Japan (and my most favorite) If you want to react more of Galneryus's songs, I recommend react the live versions, since the some of the MV version is the short version of the original version (like 'Destiny' and 'Angel of Salvation'). And of course the live version sounds better then the MV version.
This band was for several years my favorite band out there and they still are the best power / symphonic and classical metal band I know. Instead of adding my favorite songs I'll just leave the others to recommend some of the best composed songs. 1. I don't want to butcher it and send you something mediocre from their discography and 2. they have been releasing so many albums that I truly don't know all of their stuff. If I remember correct they are around their 13th album or so (?). They started back in 2001... Even while the drummer has changed twice since this Destiny MV, we still get a very high level of composition, technique and quality from these guys. In my opinion you eventually can't get recommended a wrong song because all of them would deserve a reaction for sure. For the end I'll just mention that "Under The Force of Courage" from 2015 is absolutly my favorite album by them and one of the top 3 albums by them from an objective point of view.

Wow, thank you so much for covering Galneryus finally, They're my guilty pleasure. I wasn't really into classical power metal to begin with, but they made me love it. Would love to see you react more, all of their songs are good, especially the live performances. They're one of those bands that actually perform better live than in studio. (Their live performances take like 15 mins per song or something tho, so it might take you 30+ mins to react lol, so it's fine if you prefer the studio MV)

Yup just saw them live the 3rd time this past Sunday and my mind was blown away again!! Sho Ono is the vocal and he still hits those high notes after all these years. They play this song as the closer for every Live I have been to! Such a great song to end the concerts!!
Really good reaction and breakdown ❤️. This band started in 2001. They have 14 albums (which is Crazy) with a decent amount of EPs and his solo works. They have 5 albums with The older singer yama-b (not this one) and 9 albums with The Current singer SHO or masatoshi ono (in this reaction). Syu is Really one of the best guitarist in the metal genre. He created AUSHVITZ (they changed the name to spinalcord) but they didn't do much unfortunately (a few EPs and i think one Single and one album in spinalcord) and syu himself was The singer. And he was in animetal which they released ridicilous amount of covers. His main band is galneryus (that is present). They have sooo many great songs which will blow your mind with The older singer and the Current singer (which both are amazing in their own ways). So i recommend you to listen to one of the older songs to see the difference (although both singers has done different things so you need to listen a decent amount of both). The first song is that i recommend is (EVERLASTING) with The older singer yama-b in 2007. Such a nostalgic and amazing song. Really recommend you to listen to it. The recommendations that i usually see is only from Their few popular ones which is a shame because they have soo many great songs. Also yama-b (The older singer) was present in 2001-2008 and the Current singer SHO is here since 2009 (he is 56 years old) lol
Galneryus are my all time favorite band, every of their songs always makes me want to grab (to practice) and throw (because of how desperate i am) my guitar at the same time when practicing all of their songs
Galneryus blows my mind as a guitarist because of Syu. It's crazy how little attention he gets because he's not North American or European. His playing is beyond anything I've ever heard, extremely melodic and it has only gotten better since his start in like 2005.
I have heard every single song from Galneryus ever (even before Masatoshi Ono.....the singer.......entered the scene) and despite this being a rare occasion, there is not a single song thats bad or even mediocre. Literally all of them are at the very very minimum Good-Tier, majority are Top-Tier but then they have quite a good amount of those that are absolute God-Tier ones. Destiny is one of the God-Tier ones alongside Angel of Salvation (short or long version), Endless Story (personal favorite), Attitude to Life (i think its the best ballad-like song) or Hunting For Your Dream. Needless to say: Galneryus is the ultimate GOAT. But i think that while Galneryus was already the absolute GOAT with Yama-B's darker and lower tone (which made him and the band beyond awesome.......and yes, his english is also better), once Ono entered the scene with his higher tone (as seen here), the band transformed into the ultimate GOAT.
I discovered this band through an anime called Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne, which used Galneryus' songs Alsatia and Cause Disarray as their opening/ending (which are both sick, especially the ED 😄)
@@A1000-b9s Both are great Vocalist... Yama B with powerful badass Voice, and Sho with his melodic and epic voice... Syu is blessed with very talented band members
@@saddocatto9245yep the thing is (i don't know much about vocal techniques, correct me if I'm wrong) Yama-b has a Really impressive chest voice and with a lot of strain on the high Notes specially which makes him a Really impressive metal vocalist. For example the Extreme high Note on the silent revelation live or Something like(Heavy curse) or The last part of (point of no return) which looks like he is still on his chest. His voice has a lot of open room lol. SHO on the other hand has the best range and vocal techniques and also a Beautiful voice. I sometimes think that he dosen't use his full potential at times. For example he has a Really good chest voice too and good with low Notes. But it was till the into the purgatory album till we saw how much he can do at that age which is ridicilous. But i wish they did more with his potential. Really great vocalist nontheless
Finally someone who has good taste and knows what they're talking about. 💯Good reaction video! will watch more of your vids later. If you want to try a heavily classical inspired cover of a Tchaikovsky piece, they have a song called "Angel of Salvation". Good Listen as well!
The source video might be 12 years old, but Galneryus is still releasing music with albums roughly every two years, including one earlier this year (2023).
Man if you do more reactions to this band you're in for something outstanding barely some reactor really explore a lot of the masterpiecies Galneryus has done, would be amazing if you reacted to them live also! I could recommend songs that almost or pratically any RUclipsr reacted like No More Tears, Rain Of Tears, Winning The Honor, Reward for Betrayal, Tear Off Your Chain, Still Loving You wich has acoustic version etc, there is a lot man lol
And a lot more songs. Also there is like almost no reaction of their older songs too. Only maybe one or two of the MV. It's Really a shame. I hope for a lot more galneryus reaction

Galneryus one of the best Japanese Power Metal bands but for more of the harder metal sound I love me some Imperial Circus Dead Decadence. Never ceases to amaze me especially Uta and Yomi Yori. Can’t go wrong with the classics
If you like what you heard here I highly recommend the work tbey did in Blazblue. When the thirs game came out they did remixes of all the themes from the first two games and almost all if them are straight upgrades from the originals. They're a must listen.
@@A1000-b9s complexity insnt what makes something your favourite. its the mood of the song, the mode of the music and the feeling it carries. those things help us as listeners connect to those songs either at face value and in the moment or more in depth. You are correct, destiny displays the bands full potential but to me it is not my favourite.
I pray to the RUclips gods that eventually he covers some Yakuza songs...., or Like a Dragon.... or Judgement. I mean just For the faith, Machine Gun Kiss, 24 hour Cinderella, Ichiban-ka, or Arpegio. So many choices.

They're my guilty pleasure. I wasn't really into classical power metal to begin with, but they made me love it.
Would love to see you react more, all of their songs are good, especially the live performances.
They're one of those bands that actually perform better live than in studio.
(Their live performances take like 15 mins per song or something tho, so it might take you 30+ mins to react lol, so it's fine if you prefer the studio MV)

Yup just saw them live the 3rd time this past Sunday and my mind was blown away again!! Sho Ono is the vocal and he still hits those high notes after all these years. They play this song as the closer for every Live I have been to! Such a great song to end the concerts!!
Really good reaction and breakdown ❤️. This band started in 2001. They have 14 albums (which is Crazy) with a decent amount of EPs and his solo works. They have 5 albums with The older singer yama-b (not this one) and 9 albums with The Current singer SHO or masatoshi ono (in this reaction). Syu is Really one of the best guitarist in the metal genre. He created AUSHVITZ (they changed the name to spinalcord) but they didn't do much unfortunately (a few EPs and i think one Single and one album in spinalcord) and syu himself was The singer. And he was in animetal which they released ridicilous amount of covers. His main band is galneryus (that is present). They have sooo many great songs which will blow your mind with The older singer and the Current singer (which both are amazing in their own ways). So i recommend you to listen to one of the older songs to see the difference (although both singers has done different things so you need to listen a decent amount of both).
The first song is that i recommend is (EVERLASTING) with The older singer yama-b in 2007. Such a nostalgic and amazing song. Really recommend you to listen to it. The recommendations that i usually see is only from Their few popular ones which is a shame because they have soo many great songs. Also yama-b (The older singer) was present in 2001-2008 and the Current singer SHO is here since 2009 (he is 56 years old) lol
I love Galneryus, their sound always reminds of Rhapsody of Fire which i also love.
I hope they continue forever...one of the greatest from Japan and perhaps the world when it comes to metal.

Galneryus are my all time favorite band, every of their songs always makes me want to grab (to practice) and throw (because of how desperate i am) my guitar at the same time when practicing all of their songs

They have a lot of great songs
Galneryus blows my mind as a guitarist because of Syu. It's crazy how little attention he gets because he's not North American or European. His playing is beyond anything I've ever heard, extremely melodic and it has only gotten better since his start in like 2005.
I have heard every single song from Galneryus ever (even before Masatoshi Ono.....the singer.......entered the scene) and despite this being a rare occasion, there is not a single song thats bad or even mediocre. Literally all of them are at the very very minimum Good-Tier, majority are Top-Tier but then they have quite a good amount of those that are absolute God-Tier ones.
Destiny is one of the God-Tier ones alongside Angel of Salvation (short or long version), Endless Story (personal favorite), Attitude to Life (i think its the best ballad-like song) or Hunting For Your Dream.
Needless to say: Galneryus is the ultimate GOAT.
But i think that while Galneryus was already the absolute GOAT with Yama-B's darker and lower tone (which made him and the band beyond awesome.......and yes, his english is also better), once Ono entered the scene with his higher tone (as seen here), the band transformed into the ultimate GOAT.
I also listened to all albums. Both singers are the Goats. I love both of them for different reasons
I discovered this band through an anime called Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne, which used Galneryus' songs Alsatia and Cause Disarray as their opening/ending (which are both sick, especially the ED 😄)
It's from Their older singer yama-b. Not this one (SHO). Their vocals are quite different
@@A1000-b9s Both are great Vocalist... Yama B with powerful badass Voice, and Sho with his melodic and epic voice... Syu is blessed with very talented band members
@@saddocatto9245yep the thing is (i don't know much about vocal techniques, correct me if I'm wrong) Yama-b has a Really impressive chest voice and with a lot of strain on the high Notes specially which makes him a Really impressive metal vocalist. For example the Extreme high Note on the silent revelation live or Something like(Heavy curse) or The last part of (point of no return) which looks like he is still on his chest. His voice has a lot of open room lol. SHO on the other hand has the best range and vocal techniques and also a Beautiful voice. I sometimes think that he dosen't use his full potential at times. For example he has a Really good chest voice too and good with low Notes. But it was till the into the purgatory album till we saw how much he can do at that age which is ridicilous. But i wish they did more with his potential. Really great vocalist nontheless

Galneryus one of the best Japanese Power Metal bands but for more of the harder metal sound I love me some Imperial Circus Dead Decadence. Never ceases to amaze me especially Uta and Yomi Yori. Can’t go wrong with the classics

If you like what you heard here I highly recommend the work tbey did in Blazblue. When the thirs game came out they did remixes of all the themes from the first two games and almost all if them are straight upgrades from the originals. They're a must listen.

@@A1000-b9s complexity insnt what makes something your favourite. its the mood of the song, the mode of the music and the feeling it carries. those things help us as listeners connect to those songs either at face value and in the moment or more in depth. You are correct, destiny displays the bands full potential but to me it is not my favourite.
