Kate, I’m sure I speak for all my new friends on the green sofa that a big part of the joy in our days are these lovely videos you are taking the time to share. It’s as if we aren’t in fact separated, but are nestled very close. Thank you again!

Hi Kate. Hi everyone on the sofa. I've said it before and I will say it again. You really live in the most beautiful place. It was nice that you moved the sofa outside and let us enjoy that beautiful sun and the birds with you. I went outside too today. I have to get myself some fresh veggies and went to my local store. I saw a few people. Not much. But it was nice to enjoy fresh air and some sunshine. See you you tomorrow. 💕💕💕xxxx
Dear Kate thank you so much for your daily chats.i look forward to them every evening. I did feel a bit sad after today's tho it seemed to me that you were a bit down. Take all the love your followers send and imagine it is a great big virtual hug. Please don't stop your chats love Linda xx

My joy for today. 1. Watching your video 😁 2. My 7 year old granddaughter and I started making her quilt. I decided a log cabin design would be easy, so we cut an embroidered flower out of an old vintage cloth and she chose the different fabrics to go round it making up the square. Hi Kate, hi sofa friends. I wanted to agree there is always a "we" ,especially now. Love your little interludes Kate. Am a newcomer to the sofa but it's so comfy. I'm lucky that I live by the beach in Northumberland, went for a walk today barefoot in the sand it was so warm. So happy to have your “bits and pieces” update. I too am doing bits and pieces of sewing masks, petting cats, walking a dog and writing lessons for my students. After my dinner back to my quilt. Greetings from Cape Cod
My favorite is petting cats and when I need a fix I usually would visit my neighbor . Now it us seeing her kitties long distance. We have been doing a lot of little bits around the house, put out a jigsaw puzzle to add an activity . Best tip I can say is, when you first get up, shower/ bath, get dressed, maybe even a spritz do perfume. Even change your earings! Pick something pretty that you feel comfortable in, treat yourself well . ..At no cost and you need leave your house. PS water your plants too. XOX

Thank you for putting that image in my head. I remember a particular stream in a particular wood (Tinker Park near Rochester, NY). Ice melt. Music to the ears.
Ms. Kate, I have watched ALL of your videos and I would so appreciate a video (as long as ya like) teaching people like me with a black thumb grow veggies and fruits. I would love to container garden tomatoes, strawberries, broccoli and cucumbers. Any help would be appreciated! Love to you
I was just wondering before I clicked onto this video, "Is anyone else besides me noticing dirt where they never did before?" Just as you talked about it, Kate. I was thinking yesterday as I was sweeping the patio -- this really needs powerwashing. Great minds, I guess. But I'm doing the same -- puttering around and noticing things that need doing and working on it incrementally. Anyone else on the LGS doing the same?
I wonder if you are feeling a little blue? Keep your chin up, your upper lip stiff and remember we are with you! Peace and love from Massachusetts! Isn't it wonderful that the wildlife is getting some time without us invading their world. Don't worry, Agnes will love your homegrown carrots! Thanks for keeping us close. Cheers!
Hi Kate, and hi to everybody on the sofa, move up please because I want to join you too. It is amazing how much I am enjoying the small things like getting outside for my walk and smell the countryside, somebody had mown their lawn and I simply love the smell of a newly mown lawn. I saw a Tortoiseshell butterfly today too which was lovely AND I sat out side with my coffee, it was bliss feeling the sun on my face. The rooks have built their nests in the enormous oak trees behind our house and all of this makes me feel so grateful that I have nature to look at from our house as I feel for all those poor people who live in apartments in cities - I am feel very very grateful for this. I hope that I haven’t bored you with these small ramblings, btw it is so cosy on this sofa and the cheerful green of it is 👌🏻 - take care everyone xx
Watching a baby as they discover new things and their reactions to them is a joy. Cherish every moment. I am taking joy in English paper piecing for the first time. I have had some precut hexagon papers and fabrics since last summer. I was debating about whether to baste with needle and thread or glue baste. I watched tons of videos last summer, and I just never made a decision, so all these lovely 1930s fabrics were just sitting there in my project basket. After watching your video where you were just chatting while you basting looking so relaxed, I decided needle and thread was the way to go. I love it! I found a little box to keep all my supplies in, and I keep it by my living room chair. Whenever I have time for a break, I baste a few hexagons. My little box is filling up quickly. I am going to baste all of them before I decide what to to with the finished hexagons, because, like you, Kate, I love a repetitive task. Thank you for all the chats. They make being quarantined much more pleasant. Not to mention the projects you inspire me to undertake. Stay safe and take joy where you can. I hope to chat again soon.
Hi Kate and the sofa sitters. Beautiful day here in the USA. Cheer up dear Kate we are the same can’t remember what day it is or even care. One day is just like the one before it. Stay safe remember to smile even if there is no one to see it.
Hi Kate and all my other sofa dwellers! What a lovely place you took us to today! Thank you! A rock-hard paintbrush! They always appear just when you want a clean soft one, never at any other time! Stay safe xxx
I'm glad the lime green couch extends to the outdoors. This was quite peaceful, Kate. And I'm glad you got to enjoy a video with Agnes trying carrots for the first time! Just the thought of it makes me laugh, too.
The carrots for babies available at the grocer's (in the little jars) are just horrible! Did you ever taste them yourself? Really strong tasting, not sweet and wonderful how good homegrown carrots can be. Nor a speck of salt. Just a really bad product. I used to make adjustments to most of them, my son would just spit them out, otherwise.
The lake looks so peaceful. Remember om Monday I said we were having a big winter weather event? Well here we are at Wednesday (I checked on the computer) and it's still snowing!! No newspapers yet this week. Thank goodness for Kate and all of you here on the sofa! Stay well everyone.....💗
I LOVE what a pressure washer can do!! Barry’s accent is lovely 🥰 Thank you for taking us out to the water. It looked magical behind you ❤️take care dear friend
You are so lovely! Thank you for sharing so generously. Generosity is the virtue that produces peace, the dharma says, and I feel peaceful after watching your dear face.
I cleaned my tower garden today. Hydroponic, just love it. Will get it planted next week. Worked on a quilt, did some alterations, alway some cooking and cleaning. Be well everyone! Lovely day in Denton Texas.
Well, it took me a while to find the comment section but here I am in the USA just happy to have your videos at the end of a lonely day. Perhaps one day when the world is back on proper axis I will have the opportunity to sit on the green sofa and have a cup of tea, which would be lovely. Thanks for taking the time to be a light and an inspiration.
Hallo Kate... You take care of you….love your little video`s ...always looking forward to them...so thank you….i stayed inside...again...crafting a bit too...i am used to being alone...the kids live in Australia and Germany with the Grandchildren….but if i could make a wish…… 😊❣🌷
Dear Kate have been enjoying your calming videos but today is the first time I’ve squeezed my bum on your crowded sofa. Just wanted to say a big thank you for sharing bits of you life with us. I too am grappling with a large garden alone since I lost my husband and know it can sometimes seem overwhelming, but what pleasures it gives us. Thank you for being there for us, keep your chin up. Christine x
Kate, I'm so excited to finally be able to tell you how lovely it is to have your smiley face and entertaining videos in my home. I'm a quilter which is how I found you, but I also do multiple other crafty things as you do. Right now my dinning room table is loaded with cards as I watched your video about assembling greeting cards into little books. So thank you for being you and enriching my "stay at home days". I'm going backwards through time so I can see all your lovely videos, love the landscape the chickens, goose, and cats. Loads of smiles and love!
Good afternoon Kate and all of us on the lime green sofa. Thanks so much for making these daily videos. Its become part of my routine to check in. Loved seeing the lake and hearing nature. You made me laugh a few times. And don't we all need that now in these awful times. Love and health to all. We will get through this together.
Lots of love to you Kate and everyone else on the sofa. We go into lock down here in South Africa at midnight tonight for 21 days. Thank you for your videos Kate, they mean a lot
Hello everyone. I've been sewing masks for my niece to place over her hospital mask. Between that and quilting, a tear appears along with many prayers for all on this earth.
Yesterday I came in from outside work and there was a puzzle set up. Mind you, it’s just me and hubby here and he doesn’t particularly enjoy puzzles. I chuckled and said “you must have been sitting on the green sofa”. He looked puzzled (no pun intended) and replied “our sofas brown”. These videos give many of us some enjoyment in our day and a pleasant distraction from the news during these times. Thank you again. Blessings.
With three feet of snow still on my gardens and only being able to drive to and from work, I am enjoying these daily videos. Especially the outdoor one today. I can't wait to see grass and smell dirt again! Thank you for all you do.
What a beautiful day you had today! It was rainy and cold here in Minnesota. Didn't mind tho as I spent it at work at the hospital. There is a sense of comraderie, we all wish to be at home with our families but are needed at the hospital. I have been enjoying the little bits of peace you share with us each day. Thank you Kate!
We had 61 degrees and sunshine in Ohio today. I was able to walk outside and loved every minute of it. What I wouldn't give to have a view such as yours, Kate. Peaceful doesn't do it justice.
It's a Royal We that you use. I do it often but I also think I'm including my bird and cats who have a say I'm my house. Grandchildren bring such joy enjoy the moments.
Take care of yourself Kate, and everyone on the lime green sofa also take care. Thank you for lovely video! Greatings from the Netherlands as always 🌞🙋♀️😻❤
Thank you Avril, Me and my son are well and keeping buzzy 😊 we are in good spirits. See you on the lime green sofa, greatings from the Netherlands 🙋♀️🌞
Hello to everyone on the Sofa it deserves a capital letter, it is important to us all! Hope we are all well in every sense. Kate did seem a bit down today but non of us can be chirpy all the time...I think she was in reflective mood and without that Norma to hang on to either. Why is it when you are fixing something...patio...you always see something else that needs to be done...flywire door? We have them in almost every house in Australia to keep flying beasties out, and chickens possibly but perhaps something stronger than normal flywire would be needed against those mighty beaks. I am reorganizing my sewing room and today found a shoe box full of envelopes, writing pads , aerogrammes...remember those? And half a dozen small books of unused stamps , some from 1994!!! Plus some beautiful special Christmas stamps. I felt I was KATE sorting out her drawers and had a good laugh at the numerous piles of ‘what will I do with these?’ Take care all of you
Hello Kate-hello everyone, just taking a seat on the lime green sofa, brought a basket of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Have one and pass the basket down! Lovely day, much to be grateful for. We will all beat this virus. Be well 💕😊💕
I do love your lake. I'm very jealous of you being able to visit the water, and the birds, and what they get up to. Fabulous Kate! Thank you for sharing your moments. ❤
Sandy Knoff oh indeed it will!! I’m american but my mother and I discovered and now it’s a tradition with us. You take broken biscuits, nuts, and or dried fruit, anything of your choice really. Melt down chocolate, throw it all in, mix and put in a dish to set. Once it sets you cut it and it’s heavenly and the best part is you can use whatever you have on hand. You can make it simple or fancy! Google some recipes for the proper ratios lol I don’t have a recipe as I couldn’t make it this past Xmas but it’s super simple! ❤️
Yes, Kate, there really is a “we”....your not “just you”. Your subscribers love you and enjoy you everyday. We just want you to know that you are OUR joy......YOU are something we can delight in.....you and your videos. That might be selfish of us......but when you come on everyday, I don’t feel alone. I do wish you could see your precious grandbaby more and I pray you will soon. Don’t give up, you are loved by many people! All the way from Idaho in the USA!❤️
Oh, how lovely! I'm so jealous of your blue skys and open water. It just ugly here now, with all the dirty snow and more on the way. It seems sometime, that spring will never come. But your videos make my days that much brighter. Thank you for that Kate.
It was a beautiful day in Texas too. I worked in my garden. Then I just sat down under the trees and watched nature and all the animals, deer, birds, squirrels, cats. The bird songs were so pretty and relaxing. It was a real treat. Glad you are doing well and taking joy in each day. I bet little Agnes is a real joy in your life. Hugs from Texas.
What a treat! Someone once told me that in Belgium lace curtains are hung from the windows to act as window screens. And sometimes I leave my dining room window open (it has lace curtains) just to watch it flutter. Today I made two hospital bed caddies (it shouldn’t have taken me so long, but whatever) and it kept me busy. And I made two face masks for a couple I knew. And when I became frustrated over a machine that wouldn’t work, I posted my frustration (in a very funny way) on Facebook. Within two minutes, a neighbor contacted me and said she had a machine I could use. This sense of community is what is keeping me going. That, and your long green sofa with the bright pink cushions and patchwork footstools.
Night night from me Kate. Thank you for these enchanting videos. At the end of another strange day it brings me comfort. Helps me remember the joy in the world and smile.
To me you are a harbinger of Spring with your smile and blue skies and busy home (and cats and chickens and goose!). I've started some toe-up socks (requires more patience than I usually have) and today found Arne and Carlos. Alone and yet not. Cheers 💚💚💚
Hello everyone. Working from home and getting projects done ...projects that should have been done a while ago. And taking time to breathe and be thankful. Kate ... the most difficult of all of this is missing our family and friends. I am thankful for the technology that we all have to communicate with each other (including meeting new friends such as YOU). Very thankful for all the technology that connects us all. Thank you for a beautiful outing today.
I hope Barry gets to come back. He's handsome. I LOVE his accent. It sounds a bit more on the Scottish side? I also LOVE power washers. I used my daughters (she has more power tools than most men) last summer to clean my cement patio and steps as they dont get much sun and collect, what? algae, moss, mildew or mold? Whichever it is, its green and yucky looking. WOW, I had so much fun with that task. Very rewarding as you can see the benefits of your labors right away. Kate you had challenged us to get dressed in the am as it helps to get productive. I watched my Lenten Church Service last nite, virtually, and Pastor suggested not just watching the screen but participating as you would in church be it standing, sitting, kneeling, singing etc. He also suggested to help get in the "spirit" to light a candle and PUT ON YOUR SHOES! I laughed wholeheartedly as I was barefoot. He said it somehow is more official if you attend service in your shoes! I thought of you and offered a prayer of thanks for your RUclips friendship.
Beautiful day here today in the low 50's, Kate, so I got outdoors, fed the birds, cleared off the deck, and raked some leaves! Felt so good to get some fresh air! Looks beautiful there as well! Stay safe and healthy!
Thank you for sharing the beauty of your space with us. I may never get across the pond but your videos help me feel as if I get to be there. I so appreciate the virtual travel, especially on these days.
Thank you Kate for the beautiful outing today what a peaceful place ! We had beautiful weather today in Central Ohio and I was able to enjoy doing some work outdoors and I cut a bouquet of daffodils to bring inside! So thankful for this day! Take care ! ❤️
Thank you for the lovely video 😍 Today is my Birthday 🎂 and I am spending it quilting totally uninterrupted 💚which almost never happens! The hubby announced he would show up at supper time with pizza 🍕 The lake outside my back door is still almost completely frozen over. The Canada 🇨🇦 Geese are anxiously waiting by grazing in my pasture. It is such a breath of fresh air to witness Spring arriving in your neck of the woods, gives me hope that it won’t be long for Alberta. Still I won’t be fooled, we can still get snow up to the May Long Weekend ❄️
So thankful for video of our gram babies! Going to read Danny the Dinosaur to my 5 year old grandson. Video chat. Math is his favorite and he’s so fun and brilliant!
Hi Sandy, reading to children is a real joy in my life. My daughter has 3 different friends with children ranging from 4 to 5.5. Their mothers' organized a Skype reading party last week. First, they had to tell each other their news (which was so much fun to hear), then I read them 4 chapters of "The Wind in the Willows" This was followed with a cookie and milk treat while they discussed the book. After I offered to read once a week...One mother sighed and said, "I was hoping for daily".
I brought some lemon cookies if anyone is interested, in fact they are still a bit warm from the oven. I'll leave them in the middle of the sofa, and you can pass them around. Thanks Kate... Much love to you!
Oh my, what a beautiful view you have. So serene and peaceful. I would take a picnic lunch out there and just sit and watch it all. Thank you for sharing it. We all got to hop off the Lime green sofa to sit with you on the bank of the pond!!!
Thanks Kate for bringing a smile to my face. I’m doing lots of little jobs I’ve been meaning to do too. Re-potting house plants, cleaning windows and sorting out cupboards. I’ve also sorted out some fabrics to make hexies for my first ever English Paper Piecing patchwork. 😊 Tfs
Thanks for taking us outside to the beautiful lake Kate. The scenery, fresh air and sunshine while listening to your soothing voice was such a tonic. Hope everyone had a good day. Until tomorrow, take care xx

Dear Kate, thanks a lot for the lovely Video. I have been sewing a magic pouch the last two days together with a Group of quilters via whatapp. It was really fun. Today I have a cheesecake with some candles on it to share on the lime Green Sofa. Xoxo from Germany, Stephanie
You seem a little down today. I hope these videos can give you the same comfort and connection to the outside world which you are giving to us. Many blessings. This will pass, like all things do and maybe we'll see a change for the better, both within us and the way we interact with each other and to our precious planet, which is getting a much needed rest just now from our hectic lifestyles. As hard as this is, and scary too, maybe it's just the thing we need to make everything ok again. Take it easy pet.xxx
I did get out today since the afternoon became sunny for a change. We have had so much rain lately, so it was great to see the sun. I got the oil changed in my car. Always glad to get that done. I took a drive to our local lake. Lots of men putting their fishing boats in the water. A nice day for a bit of a drive. I also managed to get a few other chores done.
Hello from us here by the shores of Lake Erie in Northeast Ohio. Our delight of the day was bringing home a new houseplant. It’s really lovely and reminds me of the beauty in things we over look.
Best wishes to you Kate. Thanks for the bits and pieces. I am starting a trip around the world quilt with Kaffe's in blues, greens and citrus colors. Listening to some early music on the CD player, which is soothing. I send equanimity and measured energy to all. Virtual hugs from western Washington state in North America. Everyone. Be well!
Big hug to you, Kate. You look like things are lying heavy on your mind today. Have a nibble of the shortbread I made today, it will go well with a cup of tea. Passing the plate down the couch, help yourself, all.

@@devnaroberts3755 Maybe that is my answer, more time means more awareness.
@@salishseaquest7952 maybe that is the part we'll keep after this crisis is over...balance the go-go with slow-slow!
Cheers!
Thank you for taking us to the lake, It's a very beautiful place , I can breathe the fresh air !
You as well 💖
I LOVE what a pressure washer can do!! Barry’s accent is lovely 🥰
Thank you for taking us out to the water. It looked magical behind you ❤️take care dear friend
Beautiful film, the lake looks so lovely xx
You bless us with your energy and we smile, delighted to be with you. Such comfort and joy! Hello to all who join me on the sofa.
Your visit is the bright spot in my day! Thanks taking us outside today. Beautiful!♥️ the sofa appreciates it!
Hello everyone!
Hi. :-)
Lots of love to you Kate and everyone else on the sofa. We go into lock down here in South Africa at midnight tonight for 21 days. Thank you for your videos Kate, they mean a lot
What a lovely spot to get some fresh air and sun. Thank You I enjoyed being along
Hello Kate and everyone else on the sofa! Thank you for your visits. They mean SO much. Enjoyed the fresh air and birdsong! Hugs.
Thanks Kate for another chat. Hello to everyone on the sofa.
Hi Petra, hope you are keeping well. Avril sending best wishes from New Zealand xx
Thank you Avril, Me and my son are well and keeping buzzy 😊 we are in good spirits. See you on the lime green sofa, greatings from the Netherlands 🙋♀️🌞
Hello Kate and everyone on the sofa. Thank you for taking us outside on a beautiful day, stay safe! lots of love. XXX
You seem down today. How are you holding up?
Dear Kate were here for you too.
We have today, and what a gorgeous day it is.🏡🤗🙏
Hello to everyone on the Sofa it deserves a capital letter, it is important to us all! I felt I was KATE sorting out her drawers and had a good laugh at the numerous piles of ‘what will I do with these?’ Take care all of you
@Faith S I hope thoughtful instead of sad.
Thanks Kate! Be safe soldier on, sending you lots of hugs. Do so appreciate your daily videos.
I hope everyone is hungry! I brought tiffin!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yippee
What is tiffin? Will it go with my cuppa?
Masuga Nut thank you I love tiffin
No idea what tiffin is. 😉
With tears in my eyes, find your delight. Yes.
Thank you for doing these pop ins. You are a bit of sanity in these strange days. Keep it up Kate. Xx
Thank you again, Kate. Such a beautiful sunny day! Thank you for sharing with us.
Take care ! ❤️
Dear Kate! Thank you for these short chats and visits. It brightens these days!
What a lovely place. Thanks for showing it. Hi to everyone on the garden bench !
Happy Birthday my friend. Celebrate 🎂🎉🍾with unabandonment!
Hi Heather, Have the loveliest birthday ever!
@@devnaroberts3755 that's awesome 🙌
Hello everyone ,these videos really make my day. Stay safe
I brought some lemon cookies if anyone is interested, in fact they are still a bit warm from the oven. I'll leave them in the middle of the sofa, and you can pass them around. Thanks Kate... Much love to you!
Hope you are staying safe. Love our chats and hello to everyone on the sofa.
Helloo
Oh my, what a beautiful view you have. So serene and peaceful. I would take a picnic lunch out there and just sit and watch it all. Thank you for sharing it. We all got to hop off the Lime green sofa to sit with you on the bank of the pond!!!
Thanks Kate for bringing a smile to my face. I’m doing lots of little jobs I’ve been meaning to do too. Re-potting house plants, cleaning windows and sorting out cupboards. I’ve also sorted out some fabrics to make hexies for my first ever English Paper Piecing patchwork. 😊 Tfs
You are the sunshine of our day, Kate! Stay well! We love you
🥰💕Thanks Kate! Lots of hugs! 🥰💕🧶🧵🏡📚👍👍
Love you, Kate!
Thanks for taking us outside to the beautiful lake Kate. The scenery, fresh air and sunshine while listening to your soothing voice was such a tonic. Hope everyone had a good day. Until tomorrow, take care xx
Thanks for these short videos, very much appreciated.
Hi all.Sunny day here too.Flies are back so taking dogs out in turn house is collecting them. Found butter in freezer and will make savory drop biscuits tommorow, planted 4 irises from Dollar store where accidentally killed hyacinths. So good knowing we knock around together
Hello Kate and everyone on the green couch. Lovely beaded curtain my Dad loved them. You bring a smile to my day., stay well.
Take care as well Kate! Always find something to be grateful about...Thank you 🌸
You seem a little down today.
