      @@homeslicesharpening It is nice to be able to say when it is not possible to get a knife really sharp: "It is not the technique, but the knife."
      This way I learn to take a closer look at how a knife is designed and whether thought has been given during the design about how the knife can be kept sharp for a long time.
      I don't adapt to the knife, I adjust the knife to my hand and then know for sure that I can get it super sharp.

      @@computeronzin Nice! Thanks for your input before - I have been thinking about yours (and others) input and slightly altered my stroke pattern, with good results. H1 Spyderco came off the UltraFine Ceramic at 104 g BESS and stropped to 73 g.
      Quiet Carry Drift with Vanax sharpened to 99 g on the UltraFine Ceramic and stropped to 69 g!
      Cheers.

      @@homeslicesharpening Yes, small changes big results.
      The only downside is that at some point you can't be satisfied with 100+ BESS anymore.

      Thanks guys! I got some new editing software, and I’m trying to do just small incremental quality increases.
      You guys rock, have a good day. I’m gonna be so stoked to declare one blade the winner of this Tournament!

    Have you tested the Ontario RD9 or Woodsman?

  • @RiceVillatoro
    @RiceVillatoro 2 месяца назад +1

    The Becker BK9 is still the King. I know the test was for fun but you got 2 different knives with 2 different steels, and one is longer by an inch. If they were both made in 1095 or COM 3V then it would be a real test. I'll stick to my BK9. because It's cheaper, far more modifiable, and lighter than the more expensive GSO-10. I still wouldn't mind owning the GSO-10, but if they made the BK9 in 3V, hands down I would still go with the Becker because Ka-Bar's heat treat is one of the best around in my opinion.

      @homeslicesharpening  2 месяца назад +1

      Yeah, the BK9 rocks! Did you see the final episode of this series? In the end the BK7 beats the GSO10 in the final. It was pretty epic. Probably due to lower swing velocity and higher BTE thickness because it's my much-used and re-sharpened BK7, but still not the result I was expecting!

      Sorry I never replied! RUclips didn't flag the comment for me. The Trailmaster looks INCREDIBLE. Wish I could afford one right now. Just bought a Terava Skrama though, that should be interesting to test.
