Well while I am old and try actively to not care as much. I do have a few suits from sav row, from Gieves & Hawkes. I have watches from Agencies and Departments Ive worked for. So on and on. But example. I enjoy wearing white new balances. These comfortable and well made pdw shorts. Polos in varying colors. But the best part of being a grandpa now? I have a backpack for all the baby things! Ive been trying new fanny packs and slings. My sling today was an eagle creek wayfinder crossbody sling, in yellow with forest tree bear and etc bright print. Now in my little bright sling, I have a dark angel medical kit and 2 tq's. A booboo kit. Basic meds. Hand sanitizer. A 65watt anker charger and a high power high speed cable from them too. I keep a usbc 500L coast pen light in my pocket, with an orange handled, black blade benchmade mini griptilian. But I also keep a socp dagger, a p365 xmac, and 2 21rd magazines. In bag keep small 1.5x1.5 usbc headlamp is 900, 200, and 5 L with red green etc modes. Have a sog power pint was taken apart and koted in orange and yellow. Doggie poop bags, orange latex gloves 2x pairs, mechx gloves in green/blk, eye drops, lotion. Gum, granola bar, wir pen and field notes expediton notebooks. Nintendo gameboy my grandkids modified for me. Has usbc plug, cartridge has hundreds of games on it. Has backlit screen. Samsung galaxy s9+ with new battery, 1tb upgrade and 2tb card. I use for music/mp3 player in gym and for car. Also store movies on cards to watch when traveling. Using new apple ip15 the small one, usbc, and apple ultra watch. But no one bats an eye with all my colorful bags. Had a custom ccw sling made with insert armor, jansport tag sewn on. Makes great gym bag. Im also trying slings from alpaka, tomtoc, chutes, vertx, and so on.
150 usd is all you need to spend on EDC if you are a beginner. G-SHOCK + Elementum+ Microstream & you are good to go. From there, sky is the limit depending on where you want to go from there.
the ferro is perfect for lighting sterno (just a tiny spark does it) but i think it's a bit light duty for lighting kindling should i be sending an entry (entering a submission?) more than one time? - as to a question for podcast: i am keeping a mind open for a fixed blade pocket carry but all the options for short blade and comfortable handle (that i can find) are leaving the entire handle out of the sheath so not really a deep carry My question is: is there a reason why the "deep carry" pocket sheaths are designed this way? (and I should therefore give up searching?)
