my favorite one from the album. it perfectly encapsulates what Knife Party is - creativity of Pendulum, epic basses and melodies, genre-bending and trying new things
This one, Boss Mode, and Resistance are all fantastic. This album was a masterpiece start to finish. And yes, absolutely agree those are all the same reasons why I still love Knife Party after all these years.

There are a few hours left until Abandon Ship's release will be 9 years... This time and my journey with it is are unforgettable and forever in my soul...
It all started with my introduction to Pendulum in 2014, when I first heard the tune from The Island in the splash screen of one minecraft video in the spring or summer. Then in the winter of 2016 I discovered this band in full and found out that they play live as a band and was blown away by the epicness of The Tempest sound and the melody of the last synth part of the song! Then I listened to Still Grey, Streamline, The Fountain and slowly explored this immense ocean of Swire's work. I remember the moment when in December 2016 I heard Encoder Live at Wembley for the first time and just fell out from the beauty of the song.... Then in the summer of 2017 I fully immersed myself in the discography of Knife Party project. It was an amazing feeling to discover each track and study it, to listen to the sound design and notice for myself how they are made and then to realize these ideas in my tracks. And then there was a moment of waiting for new releases from Rob and that was the release of Lost Souls, and the day came when I listened to ID called Nothing For Free for the first time.... It was a dream that melted into reality and I just couldn't believe it.... Then Covid, listening to Rampage Version on repeat and the death of my mom in the summer of 2020... Just so iconic... I'm insanely sorry she didn't live to see the moment of infinite happiness that I caught Pendulum releasing new material after 10 years!
And nowadays Rob is releasing new tracks and a new life is underway. But this era will forever be in my soul as something inalienable, unrepeatable, honorable to me and all this chain of random events that led me to this man will be insanely grateful. Without him, his music, I would not have found myself and would not have known myself as a musician and composer. He's my twin flame... So I will forever honor this whole period of my life as a way of becoming and coming to the depth of myself. And thanks to every soul who's helped me and taught me to see myself as a creator and a god.... Pendulum, KP - forever in love...

this song has it ALL when it comes to the computers! The machinery sounds, and my favorite part, the slight sounds you can hear that are error sounds of different OSes! Sosumi from MacOS, the hardware disconnect sound from Windows 7, and the famous XP error sound.

This, EDM Trend Machine, Boss Mode, and D.I.M.H are my fave tracks of the album. So many electronic artists have been experimenting with new styles lately - Skrillex, Zomboy, MUST DIE, Dillon Francis and KP to name a few. I never pictured KP going so far from their normal "woop woop yoi yoi" style but man...they really hit the nail on the head with this album. I could get used to more of this new side of KP. That said, I hope for more dubstep and electro bangers along with this new stuff in the future!

I think they are deriving humour in the fact that sounds so pointless/inane by today's standards.
this is why EDM's back then were much more than just a genre, it was like a Whole New Level back then, you couldn't think of it as some sort of just a piece of a music it was totally a different experience, this is why it came an up rise in the 2010 it was totally a legitimate experience.
