There are a few hours left until Abandon Ship's release will be 9 years... This time and my journey with it is are unforgettable and forever in my soul... It all started with my introduction to Pendulum in 2014, when I first heard the tune from The Island in the splash screen of one minecraft video in the spring or summer. Then in the winter of 2016 I discovered this band in full and found out that they play live as a band and was blown away by the epicness of The Tempest sound and the melody of the last synth part of the song! Then I listened to Still Grey, Streamline, The Fountain and slowly explored this immense ocean of Swire's work. I remember the moment when in December 2016 I heard Encoder Live at Wembley for the first time and just fell out from the beauty of the song.... Then in the summer of 2017 I fully immersed myself in the discography of Knife Party project. It was an amazing feeling to discover each track and study it, to listen to the sound design and notice for myself how they are made and then to realize these ideas in my tracks. And then there was a moment of waiting for new releases from Rob and that was the release of Lost Souls, and the day came when I listened to ID called Nothing For Free for the first time.... It was a dream that melted into reality and I just couldn't believe it.... Then Covid, listening to Rampage Version on repeat and the death of my mom in the summer of 2020... Just so iconic... I'm insanely sorry she didn't live to see the moment of infinite happiness that I caught Pendulum releasing new material after 10 years! And nowadays Rob is releasing new tracks and a new life is underway. But this era will forever be in my soul as something inalienable, unrepeatable, honorable to me and all this chain of random events that led me to this man will be insanely grateful. Without him, his music, I would not have found myself and would not have known myself as a musician and composer. He's my twin flame... So I will forever honor this whole period of my life as a way of becoming and coming to the depth of myself. And thanks to every soul who's helped me and taught me to see myself as a creator and a god.... Pendulum, KP - forever in love...

Fancy Shmancee The same sounding dubstep? Can you tell me the relation between internet friends and bonfire? If people like their songs is because we like their particular style but now they are doing the same shit tan other djs do.
Flos4 ® No they're actually doing things that other dj's don't do. Most are too scared to open up their minds and try new things. I can now understand why though. All these closed minded people that can't accept it. Their music still a a particular "style" to it, but there are just to many Dubstep fan boys that listen to KP. Also me saying the same sounding dubstep was just a metaphor. I said it simply because their old music was nothing but dubstep over and over again. Now they are doing many genres, which can appeal to a larger amount of people. Also this song was only made because of the dubstep fanboys. Basically telling them to give up.
Fancy Shmancee There's always this one guy that tries to act like a smart ass in comments. Listen, we happen to love the old stuff they made. I've been following Knife Party since 2012 and they made the most amazing tracks. Even Haunted House wasn't bad. The difference with their "dubstep" songs compared to other artists weren't full on hardcore. I mean, it wasn't just a bunch of noises. It had various beats to it. You also said that other DJ's are too scared to go full on disco. Skrillex (I know, a lot of people use Skrillex) turned to trap. Krewella recently turned to trap. Even lesser known artists such as Rogue, Zomboy and Tristam turned to trap. The thing is, you type of people need to understand that they're most likely doing this genre for more profit. Which is sad, because they're losing their old fans. I miss old KP, as they were the only ones who still made music that wasn't like all the other crap that's the new "in".
Katt D They didn't turn to trap. What are you on about? This album has 1 trap song and the rest are things like Nu Disco, DnB, House, and progressive house. They are actually doing a bunch of lesser known and less hip genres in this album so how is that only wanting profit. They're experimenting and getting creative. Also Tristam and Rogue have not turned to trap ... in fact Tristam and Rogue have not made 1 trap song. Zomboy either, he has made like only 2 trap songs in a while. KP will still make songs like they used to, but won't do the same style over and over like they did. The point of what these artists do is to do what they love, not only do what others want. So you "people" need to understand that they aren't going to always do what everyone else wants.
Loved Pendulum and I love Knife Party too, especially the newer "trollish" songs even more than old school Pendulum. If you don't like it then why are you here? Knife Party keep doing whatever the hell you want, I'm loving it.
@@XG-OFFICIAL-59 But I wish the OLD knife party back, imo lost souls does not sound like anywhere near like the old knife party. I actually heared the new stuff and come back to this song to post this comment, because it made me kinda sad
Damn. I remember listening to this when I was at a trip to the Catalina Islands. The beginning really suites the local area and this was during the time I was playing Dead Island, so I felt like a complete badass just roaming the streets. Man, I drank a shitload of energy drinks that I began shaking. It was amazing.
I personally enjoy Knife Party's heavier stuff much more, which makes me glad that, even though Abandon Ship isn't by any means heavy, there are still a few songs that I can relate to in interest. It's not that the album's bad, it's just too soft for my interest personally for the most part.
PackAddict I think this album (as a form of art like all music) sort of shows his efforts to keep things lively for himself and the listeners despite him stating he's bored of dubstep. there's a fairly interesting mix of themes.
Thank you very much Knife Party, you were the ones who got me into electronic music, and I feel lucky to have found you, I have listened to you since I was 8 years old and I liked all your songs that you have done ......thanks
Not true. Real knife party fans have been here since the beginning (i started with pendulum) while i like this and resistance and 404 and maybe 1 other. Most of this album is completely different crap compared to what they used to make. They never made shit like this before, so a real knife party fan liked what they made before. And as long as they still do, they are a real fan. You dont have to like this to be a true/real fan. The band Korn who makes metal and stuff came out with a dubstep album with kill the noise, skrillex, excision and more in it. I dont expect every Korn fan to like that album because its not what they fans became fans for. So to anyone reading that isnt a fan of this album, its alright. Youre just as entitled to your opinion as this jerk.
I've listen to knife party from the beginning and I like the change sure don't get me wrong I love the older ep's but I like every song on this album but I can see why older fans don't like it to
This is one of my favourite songs. Personally I like drops that don't go too crazy and this is song has probably the best one. It's very simple and catchy :3
Finally a song with a drop that isn't just three tunes from a trumpet...

I like rock, some rap, some dubstep, electro, contemporary...this is on my fav. dubstep playlist

+David JoacaX (Gangsteru') so he can't like it.....
This song appears to carry a similar style to Bonfire, which I love. The drops are just too fire 🔥
Years have past and I still haven't gave up listening to this
That echoing sonar sound on the drop is like a nuclear eargasm blast no matter how many times I hear this song.
My parachute didn't save me from this drop.
I wish the old knife party come back :'(
Well... They did release a new EP the other day so there you go
@@XG-OFFICIAL-59 Wdym? Which one?
@@sirvarrox9754 the lost souls EP. They just released it
@@XG-OFFICIAL-59 But I wish the OLD knife party back, imo lost souls does not sound like anywhere near like the old knife party. I actually heared the new stuff and come back to this song to post this comment, because it made me kinda sad
@@sirvarrox9754 well.. They're working on pendulum next so if you're into that you can check that out when they're done
It feels so good to listen to a song I haven't heard in 4 years
one of the catchiest drop
i remember the days when i used to listen to this all fucking day
Damn. I remember listening to this when I was at a trip to the Catalina Islands. The beginning really suites the local area and this was during the time I was playing Dead Island, so I felt like a complete badass just roaming the streets. Man, I drank a shitload of energy drinks that I began shaking. It was amazing.
Amazing drop!
Damn
the beat the choreography and the passion is everything in this song.
Still sick, even after all these years love knife party 💕
This is my favorite from Knife Party.
HAPPY 10 YEARS TO GIU =]

TheBetterGamer ye It is bonfire 2.0 but it is still lit 🔥
After all these years the drop still slaps
I personally enjoy Knife Party's heavier stuff much more, which makes me glad that, even though Abandon Ship isn't by any means heavy, there are still a few songs that I can relate to in interest. It's not that the album's bad, it's just too soft for my interest personally for the most part.
Thank you for being civil about stating your opinion. Unlike the rest of these morons in the comments
PackAddict I think this album (as a form of art like all music) sort of shows his efforts to keep things lively for himself and the listeners despite him stating he's bored of dubstep. there's a fairly interesting mix of themes.
that intro! im feelin it
Still bangs in 2023
Thank you very much Knife Party, you were the ones who got me into electronic music, and I feel lucky to have found you, I have listened to you since I was 8 years old and I liked all your songs that you have done ......thanks
2022 GOING STRONG BOYS
Definetly, the best track of Abandon Ship ^^
Dude... that intro is P.E.R.F.E.C.T 0:22

That bass drop was so hard that it made me continue to listen the song.
2021-2022 and still.. Got me goosebump
I've always been into rock music and I play guitar and I'm in a band but I love this!
Love this so much, it should have 100M+ views.

Yes im a reptilian
I'm a fish
You got me...I'm an alien.
This is a good song though
Im human :P
only real KNIFE PARTY fans will enjoy every song from this album , no matter whether its dubstep or not.
KNIFE PARTY IS LOVE. KNIFE PARTY IS LIFE
I've listen to knife party from the beginning and I like the change sure don't get me wrong I love the older ep's but I like every song on this album but I can see why older fans don't like it to
Damn near 6 years later, and I'm still head banging myself into a coma
Best song from knife party
This is one of my favourite songs. Personally I like drops that don't go too crazy and this is song has probably the best one. It's very simple and catchy :3
Been listening to knife party for 4 years and this is still one of the best songs
This is pure, legit, awesome dubstep. The kings are back.
