Indeed...!!! It's MORE then enough if you aren't hauling around a lot of people or towing heavy loads. Along with if you don't live in mountainous areas. So too me there is no "justification" for a 3.6R engine. Unless your heavy footed on the gas or meet the criteria i mentioned above to warrant needing a 6cyl.
yes 9s for a 2.5i but a non turbo engine, a heavy awd station wagon with a cvt transmission...after all it's not that bad. Anyway it's not what this dar was designed for. if you compare other cars in the category with 2.5 engines and 173bhp not so sure they will do any better. if you need performance, you have a choice between the 3,6R 260bhp or if you don't need practicality and offroad capabilities, a WRx or STi will be just fine...
What were you expecting with such a heavy vehicle and only 175hp...? I think it did PERFECTLY fine. And it also proved to me since i'm in the market to buy one of these cars. That if you aren't towing anything or have heavy loads much less are single like myself with only my dog. That the 2.5 engine is MORE then sufficient for 90% of peoples needs. And doesn't justify spending an extra 3K for a gas guzzler as the 3.6R truly is. The other point and this applies too me is when you are coming from a Mazda 5 Grand Touring minivan. With only 153hp and 147lb of torque you really don't know what your missing by not having a 6cyl engine. So that 22 extra horsepower from the 4cyl Outback. Will certainly go a LONG way and make a HUGE difference then what i'm used to driving right now. And i'm quite sure MANY folks feel the same way as i do regarding these two engines.
Engine sound starts at 2:12
0.7 seconds quicker than Subaru's claim. Nice.
Woah that’s quick!
Love the rims!
smooth sound # nice

I completely agree with you...!!!
Also has a range of 700ks, it’s even further then any other Subaru
Just start the dam thing on mate, dont wanna hear the music
Just fast forward the video.
i count around 10s to 100km/h. the diesel manages that in almost the same time.
Oh yes there is! They made a 2.0l 150hp diesel.
Your steering wheel is on the wrong side...u should get that fixed..
A CVT with ARTIFICIAL STEPS for Subie's stuffy conservative buyer base.
makes me vomit
3:14 AEB is going off pretend?
Soooo cooool
It sounds like a German Trabant :)
But you gotta love that sound, naturaly aspirated Boxer
How quick is it 0-100 in Sports Mode?
Oh wait you are in sports mode
Sport modes rarely make any difference during full-throttle acceleration. They usually only modify the sensitivity of the pedal.
It is a waist of petrol because it’s a bit quick in Sports Mode, Intailigent Mode or whatever the [ I ] Is then a bit slower then sports mode
Love the rims btw
意外と遅いんだね。
lol a 2.5 in 9 secs...
