"People are peculiar creatures. All their actions are driven by desire, their characters forged by pain."

    Nice one as always!
9:50 While "over 30" is technically correct, it is not very precise. Andreas Pietschmann, the actor playing Stranger Jonas, was 49 when Dark season two was filmed (he's now "over 50").
This is around the correct age for middle-aged Jonas too, if we go by the 33-year-cycle from his high school age. Admittedly, Andreas looks young for his age, but there are people who look young for their age, but still are that age, so i still think the casting is great.
12:18 I just love the stark contrast of you being so giddy and excited for this scene before, and totally depleted and disillusioned after. Yep, that's Hannah for you! 😅
Sorry, no deep philosophical thoughts this time, but probably for the finale!

Our jaws dropped when we read your comment, he is 53 years old! He looks so young!

The odd thing is if you took Jonas fictional year of birth (2003) and compared it to Andreas Pietschmann's actual year of birth (1969) those two are 34 years apart... now if you consider we just learntéd in 2x06 that Jonas spent an additional year while traveling from 2019 to 2020 it suddenly fits like a glove and Pietschmann is the perfect age to portray middle aged Jonas.
Then again Louis Hofmann was obviously 6 years older when he played the part...

Hurricane Hannah is one of the most viles characters on this show. I don’t feel bad for her.
Trivia for you guys. The actor who plays Ulrich plays Adolf Hitler in a movie called “Look Who’s Back!” 😍

Idk why people hate Hannah so much compared to Ulrich 👀. I think she's hilariously entertaining. She takes what she want, doesn't give a shit about anyone... That's bad b***h energy right there 😂 love to see it 👏🏾

Oh yes, she’s entertaining, I always want to know what she’s going to do next, but that doesn’t stop her from getting on my nerves 😂

Katharina is of course Jonas' grandmother, not great aunt.

1:13 I still think that Claudia does not do a lot of convincing here. Mikkel/Michael immediately made up his mind: just like Jonas did before when he wanted to save Mikkel and erase his own existence, Mikkel wants to sacrifice himself to secure Jonas' existence.
She rather tries to give Jonas another option to undo all of it... but we have already seen what became of that plan, right? He worked 33 years to destroy the wormhole only to "fail".
And about the missing surprise in Mikkel: He had just accepted that there was some divine plan at work. Why be surprised that someone arrives to take his timetravelling son back to where he belongs?

13:06 It is kinda ironic that she for once says the truth here. After all Ulrich does have some similarities with his son Mikkel who is indeed her husband.

17:04 Well... can't you conclude what happened? Last episode Jonas and Claudia were together in June 2019. This is June 2020. Since they did not have access to Adam's "perfect" time machine they had to go back "the long way round" by letting a full year pass them by. We actually saw one thing Jonas did in that time: a few months after he (returned to 2019 and) waited for his (one year younger) self and the other teens to arrive at the cave on Nov 4th 2019. He took Mikkel through the cave, just like his father, Mikkel, wanted.
Before that and after that he probably hid in other timeplanes with Claudia and "trained" for the plan to destroy the wormhole one day. But obviously Claudia went on several field trips without him, for example in November 2019 but also in June 2020. At some point before her death (probably around the time she went to the power plant on June 23rd) she brought Jonas to 1986 where he waited for her younger self to kill Egon.

17:52 I gotta admit with all my wisecracking that I did not foresee that either... no sure if I even considered it at any point. I just know that I thought that Ulrich's death threat had to be a red herring because that did not fit quite well with Mikkel still growing up in 1986.
When it turned out that Claudia and Egon got into an argument because he came to close to the truth I was surprised at how fitting that was. At the time many people in the fan groups were still making fun of Egon and the "Why not forest road?" note (and I had to explain a dozen times that Egon tried to press Helge about this question, because as we all know, Helge was abducting Mads on the forest road; so Egon was spot on with that question) so obviously Egon's story had to end with him finally coming close to solving all the cold cases (Mads', Mikkel's, Helge's, Agnes', Hanno's... even the of the guy from the season opening IF he ever lived in Winden or his body was found) at once by figuring out the grand secret that ties all of them together.

I don’t think Jon and Daenerys are a good example of a health relationship. Even if you put incest aside
