- I’ve never rebuild an engine in my life so here it goes. Replacing all the seals and senors. Possibly doing a mild cam in the future.

I just took mine off today. No sludge. 2000 chevy silverado 2500 6.0 v8 vortec. 260,000 miles. I think as long as oil changes been on regular these engines are a beast.
First person I’ve seen that can rebuild a motor but can’t remove a fan clutch lol. Nice video

Leave the adjustable wrench on at the 12 o'clock position and give it a whack with a pipe to the left, that will loosen up that clutch fan bolt
It has been maintained really well not all oil will produce sludge like you are expecting when the engine is maintained properly my 6.0 has 210,589 and the engine is pristine I use only royal purple 5-30 and do an engine flush every 30000
6.0 is one of the best engines in my opinion..I've seen alot of them woth 300000 miles and hardly any wear on cam and main bearingz.

Hey rotate the crank the cam is lifting the lifter causing the rocker to compress the bolt.
I was doing that but it’s just the cheap sockets I had 😂 but I was able to get it off
Now I want to rebuild my 350
looks like lq4 has knock sensors in center of lift valley rebuilding one out of a 2004 express van 6.0 lq4.

Cathedral head ports are a give away for lq4 the lq9 will have rec head ports. Unless of course someone swapped heads on it.

I have an 03 gmc 2500 hd 6.0 slowly overheating do I need a new head gasket or new heads? Reservoir starts bubbling.
Air is leaking. Could be a head gasket or worse a cracked block.

Weld a nut onto that bolt, same as if you have broken exhaust manifold bolts on the heads
