Great review! It wasn’t too long, It wasn’t too short, it was perfect!!! Plus, the knowledge you imparted is very valuable, as well as the touch of wit added to the imparting. I have a Yummly thermometer and I’ve been battling fear to use it. I’m going to give it a go now. Thanks again!
I used this for a roast I made for Christmas. I think that it reads EXTREMELY low. When my roast was 125, I pulled it out, and let it rest for about 30 minutes. When I carved it up, there were bits that were still raw. Rare should be around 125, not raw.
Hi great review ! I recall you mentioned in the beginning of the video that you used a Meater before - if you had experience with it, do you mind letting me know which one you like better and why? I was considering the Yummly but I'm still doing my research on both. Thanks!
The thermometer was not overheating. It was letting him know that whatever he was trying to cook was being overheated. And you can put the thing in the oven at 450+
What did you think about all the set up questions for the cooking of the meat? It seems like a lot of set up when all you really need to know is the temp. I just want to stab it in and see the temp - I don't like all the app questions to set it up. Does Meatly set up the same way?

The heater seems easier to operate although neither are difficult. Meater seems to have more accuracy in my cooks, Enjoy.
MEATER not heater
It says make sure no metal is showing. I see you have metal showing. I can’t get an ambient temperature to show up. Could this be the problem?
Nice video! I'd like to know which one you liked better as well. Meater or Yummly.
They both worked well. Hard to say which is definitively better
It tells you the temp of the meat AND the oven?
Yes
The fact that the thermometer overheats killed it for me. Fix it, THEN I'll pay $99 for it. Otherwise it doesn't work as it should

That long introduction was painful. 2/3 way through before you got to how to use it.
