Wow, I've really enjoyed your Bonaire series! I was very fortunate to have lived on Bonaire when I was a kid in the late 60's to early 70's. We lived in what was at the time, a fairly small house near the Small Wall. Even then, the Small Wall was a popular dive spot. I was too young to dive, but my friends and I would spend hours snorkeling in the area and occasionally over the scuba divers, trying to get into the bubbles from their tanks (I'm sure they were not amused by us brats). I was able to go back about 25 years ago and do some scuba diving, These videos remind me that I need to go back, since I think this is where I got my love of the outdoors from. I hope your feet heal up and that you're able to resume hiking soon.
I'm glad you enjoy it :) We normally haven't gotten the best feedback on anything that isn't hiking or paddling so it's nice to see this one get a bit more positive response
Sucks that you struggled so with your foot issues in Utah, and as I've mentioned in other comments I can relate but, having watched all the dive videos you've posted from Bonaire thus far, I gotta say that you picked a damn fine alternative thing to do. I'm not a big swim person at all but I have enjoyed seeing that world through your eyes and lenses.
Intermittent overheating is often a thermostat problem. Many modern thermostats don't have a bleeding hole to prevent air pockets. Replace the thermostat. If the new thermostat doesn't have a bleeding hole. Drill a 1/16" hole near the top of the face of it. Be sure that you orient it right. Good Luck, Rick
We haven't taken it in yet but that's been our theory. Wranglers apparently has two of them and the most likely cause is one is not working right so the other is struggling to keep the engine cool enough when I have to go up hill in warmer weather. Getting out of western Texas was highly stressful.
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes In an emergency you can cool the engine a bit by turning on the heater but, that can be miserable. Don't put it off any longer or the cylinder head may warp when over heated. A quick check is to look at the oil dipstick. If there is water on it or the oil looks milky you're screwed. The head jobs are very expensive. Good Luck, Rick
You definitely look better. The trek wore on you. You look healthier now. Just like in the old peasant feudal days, yeah people got a lot of outdoor exercise, but it took it's toll on them.
A big part of how I was looking at the end of the ADT was more due to the mental health aspect of flailing around trying to work around an injury. It's funny but I felt better on trail than I did here
I had this almost ready about a week ago but considering the dropoff the dive videos usually bring after a season of hiking we wanted to lead with ones actually showing us in the water :) Playlist is fixed for the moment though it's a bummer it takes the thumbnail from the first video vs letting you assign it a better one
@@FirstChurchofTheMasochistHikes No problem .Have a nice time in Indonesia . I suppose you are there because the videos appear at 8.30pm for me in Europe istead of 3;00pm.😁
Whoever said getting there is half the fun, is full of crap. And hey Matt, I have a gas generator. Inverter type, don't think you ought to kill me for using it at reasonable hours. Just saying.
The trip we're about to leave on will be far far worse travel wise than this one sadly to the point I've been trying not to think about it. I think we have hotels mid transit it's so bad. On the generators we have this issue out here where people are running very loud ones in the tent sites and it just blasts out everyones ears. That was the context of that end clip / saying dumb things to make Jen giggle
How about that penalty for. Gas powered leaf/scam blowers????? it's thievery out here in New England. blowing water pollution for hours..... Safe Travels...
Scam blowers? I’ve never been overly bothered by the lawn blower folks around here. Generator use in the campgrounds though drive me crazy. I’ve had someone in a tent running one for 6 hours just deafening the entire campground. And they make solar options that are perfectly usable and don’t impact everyone else around you

That looked like a very tiring trip, especially negotiating the traffic. I hope the return home went smoothly.
That is sadly the reality of dealing with the LA basin. Plus side it was something like a third of the effort that's going to be required for Raja...

Its pretty cool that you can free dive anytime you want. Youre on your own! Great vacation package!
The unlimited tank package here was kind of amazing. I don't think I've ever experienced the bar for getting underwater being that low

Thought already there was something missing .😄 THE VOYAGE 😆 ( Ep 0)
PS : Dont forget to make your playlist in order later.

We actually leave tomorrow night. I've been releasing these as I finish them hence the sporadic schedule.
Presumably Jen could get a teaching job just about anywhere. Any plans to get out of the LA basin and move somewhere else (CO, UT, etc.)?
While teaching jobs are available everywhere good districts and benefits can be pretty rare. And she's in a really good district.
