I was playing ClanGen earlier with my clan, Valley Clan, and it's overrun with kits! I mean I have an entire page full of kits. Can't wait to see what happens with your adventures!

At this point in my game with my clan Maple Clan, I am going to have 19 apprentices at one time once they all age up! So, almost every adult cat is going to have to train an apprentice! 24/61 cats in Maple Clan are kits! 😝

I have a clan now that has like 27 pages of cats and at least 5 are JUST kits. Every moon they have like 20 kits and they won’t stop! Literally like over 300 cats in my clan, it’s hilarious.
I've played this game with a ton of clans each of them getting to a point where there were too many cats to send on patrol because it'd take too long, so here are some tips-
-Send cats on patrols of three! It'll help boost their experience but they'll still be safe.
-Dont be scared to send a patrol of two and just not send them all the way if it's a dangerous scenario
-Put EVERY cat out on patrol, no matter what it is
-Since your clan is so small, put cats in relationships as soon as you can, you can break them up once they've had kits to fuel your clan
-You have to let some inbreeding slide, j know it's not fun but it's how clans work. I made a family tree for a really big clan of mine and it was more a wreath than anything else /j

i remember the first time playing clangen my clan withered away and it was hilariously tragic, my last cat became an elder so getting new cats was almost impossible, her only status update before i decided to just purge the clan was "caught a huge rabbit" and it absolutely sent me

Also the first time you interact with the premade cat from starclan the game crashes, so be mindful of that!
(note that this applies mostly to older versions, but still be mindful of that since it might happen in later versions as well)
Very sad bc it reminds me of my first clan DoveCLan whop werer doing so well then i didnt save and most cats went when it crashed on accident(starclan cat glitch) and i was left with the starters who were dead and lost half of my clan most even
In my Clan whenever one of my cats is thinking about love or kits. I roll to see who becomes there mate if they don't have one. Otherwise you might not get any new ones. Also half of my clan is former loners and kittypets. I had to stop letting them in the Clan I had so many.

Personal opinion on that is I'd say just keep bringing them in. It stops them from having all the roots of cat lives together and provides interesting kit combos in the end. The kits will be born AS a part of the clan not a 'former loner/kittypet'. PLus like.... I have gotten so many gorgeous kits out of Loner/Kittypet & ClanMember combos!

Ive been playing for a few days so heres some tips.
-if theres a rouge and you clan needs some more genes or is running low on cats please interact there is a chance they will join. Im pretty sure if you have a charismatic cat that will heighten the chance of them joining.
- for experience just do patrols of 3-5 for safety and check on each cat before you do patrols they will sometimes say they smelt a fox or they want to hang out with a specific cat it will help. Some cats will have the good teacher thing on their description, have that cat as the patrol leader they will help apprentinces and warriors.
- Every cat should go out on the patrols, just do waves of it. I have at least 30 cats in one clan and i check through their status that day for who i should send out with who. I group up cat who have smelt foxes with good fighters just in case.

Just so that you know! The more patrols you send cats out on the more experience they get. Also, you can send out more than one patrol each moon!
Seri in cat form is so adorable (THE FLOWERS). I just discovered this clan generator game and had no idea you’d play it. I may play it myself although lately seeing cat OCs on RUclips have made me create lots instead of playing games. I’m just not the greatest/most patient at drawing my ocs lol.
I've been waiting for Seri to pick this up and make it a series :)
Some tips:
Foxes and rogues can't kill your cats, only dogs and monsters (more likely the former than the latter).
You can enable a background in the settings page, it makes the game more immersive and nicer to look at.
Dogs are literally ruthless. Besides random events that happen when you time skip, most of my cat deaths have been to dogs.
If you get a thunderpath prompt, click proceed on big patrols but don't proceed on 1 cat patrols or if you're not confident 2 cat patrols. I have no idea what happened between updates, cats getting hit by monsters used to be rare but my apprentices keep getting destroyed by monsters now.
Don't send out cats alone. If you do, beware of the four bloodthirsty rogues prompt, I don't know if it's possible to survive but in my experience it is not. Honestly, if you send a cat out alone don't click proceed on dogs or monsters or anything that can kill a cat, the odds are really _not_ tipped in your favor.
You can change cat information. I only use this for when I get rogues/kittypets with one word names and want them to have clan names or if a cat I have gets a dumb name like "featherfeather". Go to your saves folder, open the clan cats list for you clan (it's a Microsoft Excel file, and it will be named like this: "[clanname]cats". for example, if your clan is called Reedclan, the file will be named "Reedcats"). You're now free to change whatever. _This is important, however_ : Make sure that you write the name like this: "Prefix:suffix". If you want a one-word name, write it like "Prefix: " . *Also, you are tampering with save file information! Please don't yell at me if you accidentally corrupt your save file while changing a cat's pelt color. Whatever you change on the Excel file I'm not responsible for, you messed with the save file and I just told you it was possible. Please use caution or try it out on a throwaway save file before changing cat info on a file you value* .

I'm not sure if someone said this but you should try the clan background and see if you like it. You can switch it on in the settings. I'm really excited your playing this game.
I am so glad you picked up this game and so glad that my recommendation intrigued you! I'm still playing the July version because I loved my Maple Clan too much to start over, but my deputy Pebblepelt who began as Pebblepaw died of white cough and I was so upset! I actually have 26/61 of my Clan's cats being kits, so the Clan is about to be very, very busy training apprentices in the coming moons! 😂 The July version doesn't automatically assign mentors, so I'm picking the apprentices for each mentor. Unfortunately, with so many cats, one warrior had to mentor his daughter.
@Indira Dudley Hmmm... Not sure. I just sorta "pick" mentors by writing it down on my Clan allegiances list I've been making with screenshots of all of them. That way, I can always send the apprentice and the mentor on patrol together like they do in the books!
You can move your save file over if you get the new version, it's super easy and if you need help there's info on the discord :)

I did almost accidentally delete my save file about two weeks back trying to change a kit's name from "Nightkit" to "Brightkit" because I had two litters of kits born in one moon and they both had a female kit named "Nightkit", lol. I did manage to get the save file back, fortunately!

The genes sometimes concern me in this game, a leader had 5 kits and they were all identical to her except for one white kit? Their mate wasn't even white... I couldn't tell the other four apart until they got scars and one lost their tail (Poor Bluefur). Also what is funny is that it said: Bluefur lost his tail to a tree. le oof. Best game ever.

Im so excited to see you play this game Seri! Ive seen so many different amazing stories be built by people paying attention to how the cats are feeling when checking through the list of cats! Then crafting stories on the fly by piecing together small bits of information and adding interesting interpretations that the game gives you!! Especially becuase you can go through many moons without something signifcant happening so you gotta think up interclan drama to keep things interesting! Figuring out the cats personalities and their relations to one another is so much fun! Im super looking forward to what DRAMATIC ADVENTURES will happen in SunmossClan!

Super excited when I saw you finally playing Clan-Gen! I don't know if you went in the settings + info before you started recording, but you can enable or disable a beautiful background in your camp that changes based on the season in-game!
Edit: In the settings + info, you also can enable cats to have kits even if they have no mate as well as enabling cats of the same gender who are mates, to have kits together.
I love how they make the personalities a little vague so you can add your own touch of creativity!

YES! Ive been waiting! I love clangen!!! your videos warm my heart and make me happy.
You gain higher exp on small patrol. At 12 moons you become a warrior I believe. Medicen apprentices will act as your med-cat if your cat passes. In one of my clans, I had to survive with rouges joining and 2 cats being the mother of all of my cats (They allow same-gender cats to have kids luckily.)

I've already had a few cats go to starclan, an illness took a couple of them, and a lot of battlescars cover my kitties from hawks and rats and dogs. My poor leader seems constantly depressed, probably pressured from being a newbie.

I'm so in love with this game just from the variation in cats. I've loved some of the cats so much I've even created them in WCUE on Roblox because I just genuinely enjoyed seeing them grow up with their different personalities.

This why you always try to leave elders at the beginning as they mostly die the first few moons and make sure to bring any kits at all that’s what I learned before playing and my clan is now 82 moons old and only one dead leader and two dead med cats :>
How many days your clan is now? I made it 268 but sadly I messed up files because I tried to bring back one of the dead warrior alive

And I just got it yesterday, it deleted my first save, so I had to start over, but at one point yesterday I had 8 kit's! I can't wait to see what happens! My clans name is Pineclan, my current favorite cat in the my clan is Splash she was formerly a loner, but she's so beautiful! I'll come back later to watch this full video plus the new one, but I gotta clean my room now! I'm so excited to watch it! Siri, you can send more than one patrol each moon. That would help you a little. Also, whenever you see that your cats sent a fox or something, if you fight it, you could get more xp but your cats could also earn scares. I might be leaving some things out because I never actually played because I don’t have a computer. I just watch other people do videos like this. If you are wondering, you can get better experience by chasing out foxes, dogs, and badgers, and by having successful hunts. Hope this helps!

DriftClan-Grapestar:He’s a small, short-furred black tom with spots on him, he gets worried easily.
TwigClan-Foxstar:She’s a huge, orange she-cat with rosettes and stripes on her body, she’s a sassy and manipulative brute.
BerryClan-Juniperstar: He’s a broad-shouldered tom with red and bluish-grey face spots on him, he’s mostly kind and friendly.
WolfClan-Goldenstar: He’s a slim, golden tom with goldish-brown spots on his face. He’s strict and sleuth, but kindly and respectful also.
LilyClan-Bonestar: A white she-cat with storming gray spots on her torso. She is quiet and curious.
MudClan-Acornstar: A brown she-cat with with a dark brown stripe to her head to her tail. She’s kind and peaceful.
FeatherClan-Jaystar: A muscular, gray tom with dark gray stripes on him.

Yaay! Was hoping you'd play this. Tbh I think you were a bit doomed with your options of cats to choose from-too many elders and kits in that starting setup and not enough adults, even senior ones.
