There's no rule against leaders having kits in the warriors universe, it's just usually avoided because it can prevent them from being able to fulfill their duties enough, though it's not as dire of an issue as medicine cats having kits is.

i dont see why medicine cats cant have kits, id say theyd be allowed to have kits if theres another medicine cat(s) who can take over, i read the book on it but really it sounded silly, a medicine cat should be allowed a mate but not kits if theyre the only medicine cat and theyre needed
@@lynverse9967 I definitely agree. I think the only reason there is no absolute rule about leaders is because deputies are always available, where as medicine cats can be solitary for a very long time before gaining an apprentice.
@@lynverse9967 If you read about MothFlight's story, she was a medicine cat with kits, it was hard for her to be a mother and a medicine cat, so you should read her story, it'll help you understand why kits are not allowed
Warning: Don't go after dogs if you don't have a good fighter. Sometimes even with good fighters a cat will still die. Also I don't think you can currently die from foxes, but I'm not sure.
Oh you can definitely die from foxes. I learned that the hard way
You can get hurt not killed
Foxes can't kill you, only scar you
You need a cat with excellent fighter, nothing less, to get a guaranteed win with a dog

I think that Berrystar's prefix is "berry" because the round orange patches on her fur sort of look like orange berries.
Also -- Ashshadow is giving me main character vibes. I mean, they came into the clan as a sign of hope. Their parents are unknown, and why & how they joined the clan is a mystery. Why in the world would a young kit leave their home and parents to join a bunch of cats they don't even know?
Then the med cat and their mentor died, almost as if their deaths were set up to make Ashpaw the medicine cat? I dunno, it just seems very... ahem... shadowy (get it? ash-shadow? shadowy? nevermind...) that they would both die at the right time. I have a little tiny suspicion that "contagious diseases" were not the real cause of their deaths.
OH AND NOW HE'S GETTING SOME KINDA WEIRD PROPHETIC DREAM FROM HIS DEAD FORMER MENTOR??? yeah, this is definitely strange. And it makes for a good, dramatic backstory for a main character in my opinion!

Right now in my clAn, I've got two bloodthirsty apprentices and an overload of kits... And the story is that these two have convinced themselves they're doing the best thing for the clan.
Several cats have seen visions about Sneezepaw and Shortpaw, who are just about to become warriors. They've poisoned Pounceberry the elderly medicine cat so Hazelclaw can flourish, the Deputy Emberfur, with strong ties to StarClan, is still not sure about her apprentice
Hazelclaw is aware her mentor was poisoned, and the disappearances of elders and a number of Swanstar's kits are too close together.
WhirlClan is a MELTING POT of drama. (I started this game cuZ of youuu~ Love your series, Seri, and going to be watching over SunmossClan closely!)

All I can imagine is Sheepkit found Bluetail hiding in the bushes watching the camp and then lead Berrystar to their hiding spot after chatting lol
Tips for Seri! I haven't watched yet so forgive me if she knows any of these:
-If you get two loners that are close enough in age (don't want it to get weird) it's a good idea to pair them up so you can have some kits unrelated to the other kits being born in the clan!
-Might be a good idea to keep a family tree just in case, the game doesn't always have siblings listed on the siblings page (depends on which parent is listed first in the code), and it definately doesnt have things like cousins and aunts and uncles.
-Proceeding on the Thunderpath has a chance of getting your cat cripped and shoved into the elders den :/
-Go on as many patrols as possible each moon to gain experience and hopefully fresh blood for the clan from things like loners + kittypets.
-Save. The. Game. It's got a decent helping of bugs (no shade to the devs!! they're doing this for free and with a small team so im not suprised its kinda buggy) so you wanna make sure you save often if you dont want to loose information.
-Once you get two pages of cats I'd personaly reccomend turning off "unmated cats can have kits" so you dont get flooded, but it's up to you.
I learned about the Thunderpath the hard way...
Logpaw had just joined RainClan when I sent her on a patrol alone as an initiation ceremony. I was planning to nope out if it was a fox or dog, but then the Thunderpath prompt popped up. I'd only had successful crossings before, so I sent her. You can guess what happened next.
But at the very least, she had a mate who loved her fiercely and many lovely kits.
One of the cats on my clan SOMEHOW got BLIND by a monster and was shoved into the elders den...she was 13 moons :/
This game is so fun and the discord community creative with the custom sprites and art. I love the shaders and the butterfly sprites the most. I can't wait to see what this game adds with more updates.
Also the cats you take in, even the adults, might have a chance of instantly becoming medicine cats. Had that happen to me with a loner, w/ kits, named Webtail, who taught the other medicine cats how to use cobweb properly( cause they all of a sudden start using cobwebs more often when she joins). I like to think she was an exiled medicine cat or at least a very skilled healer. Her kits are also very connected to starclan because Cloverkit keeps seeing starclan cats in her dreams and trying to leave camp and the starclan cats are walking in the dreams of her litter mate. Cloverkit might be a medicine cat but Brookkit doesn't seem to want to be one so far. It's my favorite run bc of how much drama is goes on in Swiftclan.

Hey Seri! I dunno if you saw this but you can choose options that let single cats and same gender couples have kits too, it's actually recommended since clans can have trouble growing early on
I love how when sedgespeckle leaves Berrystar for another mate she feels confident in herself lol yess queen forget about that cheater !!!
Sedgespeckle wanting to have kits be like: "Want to have kits?" "NO!" "You sure?" "NO." (Ten minutes later) "Hiya, Volespeck, want to have kits?" "Ok." (Has kits) Sedgespeckle: Doesn't even interact with his children once.
For story's sake, I typically send out apprentices and their mentors together as a team with one other cat.

Discovered it recently myself, keeping track of important events and details so I can make a proper story or comic out of it one day, the game’s crashed a few times and I forget to save, which is unfortunate but it’s still so much fun storytelling!

I wonder if the two new kitty pets might have been carriers for an illness that they'd either been vaccinated against, or otherwise had immunity to from being kittypets.
So when they came to the clan, the cats without immunity were vulnerable to the illness.
So.wthing similar happened to my clan when a loner joined. I don't know if the contagious disease event is more likely to happen after a cat joins, but it would be interesting if so.
That would be an interesting detail if it was actually added into the game

Darn, Frostpelt was my favorite! I think my new favorite cat is Ashshadow now. I'm very excited to see what Sheepkit will grow up to be, especially after inviting a new cat into the clan!
I usually send out the patrols in teams of 3-4 and they usually succeed in whatever prompt comes up. Also in the settings you can make it so that unmated cats can have kits. I try to do this only in newleaf and greenleaf and turn it off for the other seasons.
I also recently learned that you can change the names of the cats in your Clan to ones that you like/fit better. You can do this by going into your saves and it'll be in an excel sheet. For you me it's under Ravencats because my Clan is RavenClan. I also added more prefixes/suffixes to the list of usable names. Once you open those pages they'll be blank until you add the names you want to add, just make sure that you capitalize each name on the prefix list.
The message that sheepkit had the first time we saw them being “ sheepkit is beginning to be interested in herbs“ I feel like sheepKit would be a good medicine cat
Oh my God sheep kit is definitely gonna be either a leader or a medicine cat. there is no in between. It’s either one of the two, because they managed to convince a loaner to join, and they are very interested in herbs at a very young age.
I think Ashshadow did end up saving the clan because they were the cat who could step up when the medicine cat suddenly died. Instead of leading Sunmossclan like you thought, they are instead able to heal it.
I noticed that paleflame was spending a long amount of time in the nursery. 🤔🧐

I love Berrystar, Sedgespeckle broke up with her to pursue a different she-cat but she's not letting it bother her at all!!
And I totally feel like she's getting eyes for Lightear 👀 they're both playful cats and go on patrols together, maybe Berrystar would be looking for someone who matches her energy better after Sedgespeckle, but that's just what I think
And as a side note, I'm super glad this game lets medicine cats mate and have kits, that part in the medicine cat code always bugged me.
Another great episode, Seri! I am always so, so sad when my cats die of a contagious disease since there is absolutely no way to prevent that! I really agree that Sheepkit should become a medicine cat apprentice since he loves herbs so much!

I created a clan named Dyingclan (because the previous clan literally died, it has no cats in it) and its leader is Starstar
Yet again, the fact that you can not choose mentors is good proof that you are Greystripe. Greystripe watches over the clan, and sometimes guides them forwards!
Seri and if you want them to level up you always have to hit proceed

Leaders can have kits in this game! Mine wouldn’t stop having them with his mate lmao. Though, my leader was a male I don’t think I’ve had a female leader have kits yet. Or I’m forgetting my cats genders, which is kinda easy to do in this game.
I love this game. You can be so creative theorizing about the stories behind events.
Sadly, I can’t really play it. I mean I can but once I close my computer and reopen it the next day, I can‘t continue playing with the Clans I had. The game doesn’t open and I just get an error message. Does anybody else have this problem?

Just a tip Seri, I think it would be best if there's a extra apprentice you should turn the cat into a medicine apprentice because the current medicine cat could become a elder and pass to starclan. But you would have backup

Did you know there is a way to add custom cats to your clan? It's a bit complicated but there's a google doc tutorial on how in the clangen discord. If you figure it out and want to you should add your own custom cats to the clan and you can pretend they're loners you're taking in. I think that would be fun!

I was playing with my 14+ member clan ( coal clan ) and kept pressing the time skip button , long story short I ended up with 1 warrior left :')
Seri: I don't have enough cats
Me: Have 182 cats alive and have 3 past leaders
Also me: Thinking the clan is pure chaos
my clan went to tatters 😭 i forgot to save so while skipping moons my game crashed so i had to go back to when i first started, but it had a way worse out come and everyone died help
Oh that’s terrible, that pretty much happened to me once, in a Sims 3 game, all my Clan kept dying or leaving, I have one warrior, a deputy, the leader is stuck on the other side of the game world, a queen, and six kits, all three moons old
It took half the day to find enough food for the clan
Also just so you know, sometimes the loners or kittypets who are interested in joining the clan will not be convinced. So if you see the message that someone wants to join, don't get excited too quickly since they may not join. You got super lucky though, haha 😂

I really got to try this game sometime, it looks really interesting.
EDIT: Managed to download it, Flashstar (female) and the medicine cat Waspheart (male) nearly immediately hooked up on their own and have had 6 kits, one of which ended up being the next medicine cat apprentice. None have died of any of them have died yet. And every single loner and kittypet invites their friends, so I might actually start skipping picking up new loners and kittypets so I can keep letting them have their friends.
Maybe that when the cats where making a camp at they didn't have a clan name they found a patch of moss in sun so they put brambles and plants around it, and thats how they got their name.

The first thing I did when I started is give everyone mates, even the medicen cat. then that way they would have kits and the clan would grow.

Seri! You can get Experience faster by sending out Patrols of 2-3, 4 max, cats! I found this out & my clan, LakeClan, has cats who are Master experienced & Max Experienced.

So while listening to you play this game, I was playing my own clan, BrackenClan when all of a sudden my gray tabby warrior, Sunstripe is killed by his/their former mentor, Littletail (she was called this before losing her tail but she lost her tail to a fox) all because they got into a fight over a fellow clanmate, Tornpelt (my head cannon for why tornpelt is called this is because as a kit he tried to take down fox or tried hunting an owl only to get a physical scar where a patch of fur never grew back). So yeaah, and it happened just as Littletail had her three kits....
