Thanks! My only suggestion is to adjust the tiny dial inside the foot pedal to the slowest setting and get into the habit of using the hand crank for your stitches close to the end of your run. Other than that, it is a workhorse for sure. Also, if you want to see how I mounted the armor I have a video that I posted about 2 months ago where I used the same technique as RS Props and the ESB costume crew. Enjoy
Just to clarify, you’ve got three layers? The interfacing is sandwiched between the duck cloth (outside) and the original denim test (inside)? Or have I misunderstood? Great video, very helpful. I love the decorative straps on the sides too!
Actually, there are FOUR layers because I added the inside liner of duck cloth. (This was after the decorative stitching was added to give the "quilted" look to the outside of the front and back.) Thanks for the compliment and I appreciate you watching.
Looking up duck cloth I see it has different thicknesses measured in oz.. I imagine you don't want to go too thick for maneuverability but not too thin as well. What thickness would you recommend?
I will have to go back through my receipts to get the exact "ounce", but I asked the clerk at JoAnns Fabric for a medium heavyweight... the first time I bought it I bought the lightest and it was too thin. Just make sure the weave doesn't look like burlap.
I will be using this tutorial to enhance my process of making my Boba Fett 1313 costume.
Thanks for sharing your tips.
You're welcome and thanks for watching. Please, share your build when its done.
Great video and demonstration of the build, thanks
Thank you for watching and the positive feedback. I had to cut some corners because I only had still photos.
Joli travail ❤
merci

@@jasononeal merci beaucoup 😍
Great tutorial! I just bought the same machine you use in this video, glad to know that it'll handle heavier materials like this.

Thank you for the comment and the sub... We will be revisiting the flak vest when I start to mount the shoulder and chest armor.
