Even though I'm basically doing the exact opposite of what you're doing, this video has helped me tremendously with my post apocalyptic flak vest! Great stuff!!! I don't doubt you have something else that'll help me
You do this after I gave up on the idea of being an offical mando lol. Could have used this a couple of years ago. Oh well, I don't have regs to deal with then lol
A technique for making a sharp line in fabic we used to use in the Marines was to pull thin mono fishing line tight like 4lb test in the fabric crease and then runs a really hot iron over the outside of the fabic to melt the fishing line intot the fabic and it holds a sharp crease. for eternity
So the website for the vest isn't cooperating for me. Would it be possible if you could make a template for the vest, or find another vest that'd word? I've looked but I just don't know if I'm looking in all the right places for a good vest
Really liking the information you are sharing with the costuming community. Speaking as an official member of the MMCC - the vest should not go below your navel.
Glad I found your Channel, awesome videos! I recently decided to make a Death Watch costume and I see you already used a lot of idea's that I was thinking, which is nice! (using a BPV carrier, etc..) Might I ask your approximant height/weight? I may use a black carrier or possibly dye a white carrier in a blue color. I'm thinking about instead of using a flight suit to use a set of blue camo BDU's and sue them into a 1 piece "flight suit".
I needed this tutorial for my mandolorian build for so long

Loving how the build is coming together, definitely will consider this when I get to making my own flak vest.
If you need to glue some fabric down I would advise using headliner adhesive that is used for cars.

i realize this is an old video but can we get the link for the vest?
Damn, I Just picked up a boilersuit, and the flak vest was next in line for me to make, so this came at the perfect time!
This is a great idea for the budget-minded.
Thanks for filming this, and hope to troop with you soon!
It would be awesome if he did a sabine wren helmet seeing as she might be in one of the upcoming Star Wars shows.
Lmao for mine (not an official member) i used an old welding jacket i just cut down to what i wanted.
isnt the bolt and washer and stuff uncomfortable poking you? or risk damaging your undersuit/clothes?
Awesome work. Greetings 👍

Does anyone know of alternatives to this type of vest. Currently soldout

Was about to mention that, but saw your post first. Thanks, vod!
What was the name of the vest he used
Do you take commissions?
Your entire outfit would look better if you wore black instead of grey and white under the armour
