I'd much rather watch these types of videos than ones about breakouts, booms, busts, projections 😂

Fantastic pod, thanks Matt and Renee for the useful info. I’m like Renee, a data digger, so I’ll add “Examine my biases” to my draft prep work. Neuroscience is fascinating, this was a lot of fun.

I think another appeal to drafting rookies or 2nd year players is it's quite an ego boost when it hits. If you drafted Nacua last year then you feel like an expert, it's a much more satisfying pick (in retrospect) than drafting Jefferson or CeeDee and he hits. Quite the ego boost to 'get a rookie right'

I did draft Puka & won a title. Makes me question some of these “experts” who have probably won less titles than me. Pretty sure those idiots made me draft Dameon Pierce & Kadarius Toney. Not my fault

Bias against USC WRs had me missing on A.St.Brown in the rookie drafts. 🤢

Loved it! I will check out her book (probably buy it). You always have good content but this was different than what I have seen anywhere else. But then again, I am probably biased toward things I can't get other places. 😄

this was a fun & interesting vid. after 35 years of playing ff, I've come to the conclusion that ff is 80% luck (good or bad, mainly injuries), 17% freakish, fluky, unexpected, crazy BS occurring in actual games (outside of luck), 2% drafting well, 1% roster management during the season LOL. I've won some very unexpected ships & lost in the playoffs with every undefeated team.

80% luck? Maybe in your office league. I've won my pay league 5 years in a row. I have no doubt that the guys who lose every year say the same things you do. I beat half the guys in the draft and the other half working the waiver wire, looking at matchups, etc. There is a lot of luck, but good FF managers know how to alleviate bad luck. Sure, once you get in the finals with the other guy who knows fantasy, luck is important. But 80% luck? Nah. This is what guys who lose every year say.

@@Heathcoatman lol. Big man puffing out his chest & putting down others in ignorance. I was joking, meathead. I won 9 Dynasty championships last year, sport. Settle down there junior & get off the drugs.

You were talking about yourself, right? What you said was nonsense, no matter how triggered it makes you to hear it.

From Yahoo? I had a card that was canceled on the account as payment. Once i realized it and changed it. A ton of different amounts went in immediately from leagues that never filled. Then it said days later that it said my winning were returned to my yahoo account, which it never went back in. The yahoo season ended like the first of April. U won and havent got your funds either

Heres a true bias... people are biased toward similar names to theirs, even first letters of their own names, size of their last name, and if they are a Jr. Watch for it, look for it, its real.
