I've been listening to Nickleback since I was less than 8 (I'm 13 now) and I've never found any flaws with their songs. Seriously? Why do people hate on them so much?
Wakeylad Lightfoot it's a common complaint that their songs are musically simplistic/repetitive. However, it is of my opion that they have found a formula that works, and more importantly a firmula that works well. You can generally learn how to play a full nickleback song on guitar in less then an hour, but it's always fun to jam along with the record. Rock for the masses! I think most people hate them because they were vastly overpopular in the mid 2000's and people got tired of them.

Social media and what not plant the seed of hate towards this band personally I’m thankful for their songs they’ve given me such joy over the years and helped me out when I really needed it, we only get one life and it’s simple if you don’t like the band not listen to them pick the bands and songs you like and enjoy them I just don’t get the idiots that listen just to mock and ridicule people.
First off the song is awesome. It's really awesome. It sounds very cool. But what I loved was the message in the video. The couple is running away from a mistake that they made (a robbery gone wrong) and they find a small paradise where they discover all the things they ever wanted. From that crummy trailer to that awesome house. And their love is cute, strong and pure but at the same time what they do with it is childish. They treat the house as their playhouse without any sense of responsibility to it. Did they earn that life? No. Could they? Probably not, but even if they did, everything they do in the house shows that they weren't ready for that responsibility. So, to me, this is the representation of young, short-lasting love, living the thrill of the moment and not planing for the long run. It's basically young, reckless love and the consequences that come with it. It's a great video.

I grew up listening to them. Hadn't heard any song since earlier this month, and so many memories have been flooding back of when I was 7, in Primary school, playing with my friends. Now I'm 18, (hopefully) eventually capable of seeing my oldest friends again after so long.
This is the one of the few music videos that I've seen that actually goes perfectly with the song. Well directed, well filmed, well acted. I love it. The fact that it carries the story from a past video is the icing on the cake.

I discovered this song a few years ago when I was 14, and it really hit me. I think it's the first song about love that I really felt, so I listened to it a lot. And since then I've had a dream that someday in the future I'll have my own home and my favorite person next to me, and we'll be able to dance to this song in our living room. This may be silly, but seriously, this song means a lot to me.

I always appreciated the new direction Nickelback took with their last album - took guts to take shot at something beyond straight rock. I don't much have an opinion on what genre their next album takes inspiration from, so long as they keep making music. A band that cops way more ridicule than it deserves :-)

Their songs are very recognizable and have similar riffs and meter. So if you like some of their music, you're likely to like most of it. I like the hard driving rock, so there one of my favorite modern bands...

I discovered this song a few years ago when I was 14, and it really hit me. I think it's the first song about love that I really felt, so I listened to it a lot. And since then I've had a dream that someday in the future I'll have my own home and my favorite person next to me, and we'll be able to dance to this song in our living room. This may be silly, but seriously, this song means a lot to me.
Same here dude/dudette I was also around the same age as well and felt that way at the same age till I grew up and I realized life sucks and adulthood is the worse

It's funny how despite people saying Nickleback is bad. Rather he became eternal. I just don't see an age when people will stop liking him. His songs are one of a kind. Each and every of them.
I always appreciated the new direction Nickelback took with their last album - took guts to take shot at something beyond straight rock.
I don't much have an opinion on what genre their next album takes inspiration from, so long as they keep making music.
