I think we’ve reached a point in society where age does not equate to maturity or excuse from mistakes. Especially in an age of social media where extremely clouted individuals have alot of influence over younger audiences.
Speed altho being only 17 shouldn’t excuse his mistake which isn’t equivalent to mistakes regular 17 yr olds commit as they dont have millions of eyes on them. If you’ve embraced the clouted lifestyle then you should equally be prepared for the heavy consequences your fame could bring.

No, just outright no. -10/10 level take.
It doesn’t excuse his actions yes, but he absolutely should be treated differently than a 25-30 year old in the same situation. He hasn’t had the time to even develop himself on his own. Right now what we see of him is entirely a reflection of the environment he was put into, not an environment he chose.
I’d say in this day and age with misinformation at an all time high we should be even more protective of the younger generations and more proactive with trying to educate them.
I’m saying this finding out who speed is literally today, I have no support for him nor emotional attachments. But doubling down on a 17 year old who has the peer pressure of millions on him to embrace the “clout lifestyle” is absolutely not where we should be going.

What Lud is doing at the end is SUCH a mentally mind-fuck but in a good way type of move. He's using positive affirmations, like "I KNOW Speed wouldn't do this again," to force him to be a better person. Law Enforcement Detectives literally do the SAME STUFF to get confessions.
They butter up the suspect, they downplay the crime so it doesn't seem that bad, or even that you can recover from it, they put blind trust, which psychologically makes them feel like they HAVE to be better (because their name is on the line).
"Look, I KNOW you're a good guy. Everyone talks about how great you are. This was just a slip-up, right? So let's get to the truth so we can let your FANS and LOVED ONES know it was a bad idea, but you aren't a bad person."
    "Yeah you right he dead"
    "Gotcha you dumb sonnofubitch"
Well-played father Lud. Holding people accountable like LE, but without violating anyone's rights 😂
edit oh AND he used another tactic where you shift some of the blame off the suspect onto someone else, to make a confession seem not so bad. For instance, to possibly help alleviate the "evil" image this gave Speed, Lud inferred that perhaps he is in a closed circle of friends acting as an echo chamber, so there's no one there to give another perspective. So by saying that maybe it's unintentional ignorance, it gives Speed a slight opportunity, even an excuse, to correct himself.
Cop example: "Look, we know your friend was culpable too. Maybe he gave you dumb advice, or maybe he set you up? You can admit you did it because you were scared of him, you know"
"Okay yeah I kicked him upside the head"
    "Gotcha again you dumb motherfucker"
