@@jorjepetersondale9182 I'm bringing the question up not to suggest that I would do something like that, but rather to defend EE. By all means the controversy is well deserved, but some of the death threats and such that he gets is just too much. I'm simply asking the question to reflect on what EE was really thinking about. Temptation happens all the time, wether it be retaliation or overall doing something you know you aren't supposed to do. Your response is reasonable and in fact is the correct response in my eyes, but I wasn't exactly suggesting that I would do the same, but I was suggesting that if it came down to it, most people would at least hesitate for a split second before making an ultimate decision. Edit: I guess I'm trying to humanize him without defending him but it definitely didn't work and just makes me look bad in the process.
@@jorjepetersondale9182 Rereading my comment I honestly feel terrible. I thought that I was only humanizing him by saying he's not the only one, but by doing so I've torn down myself. What I meant vs what I said honestly didn't translate well, and this will be something to remember in the future. Just as a note though, I didn't attempt to compare each scenario, and the scenario in question actually wasn't what you said it was. The question was not "Would you save someone's life by fracturing another," it was "Would you kill someone for taking someone you loved", which are entirely different and is definitely warping my character in an unreasonably extreme manner. Looking back, I sound like a completely different person, even if the response was only an hour ago. I still believe that his "temptation" was a reasonable explanation, just not good in a moral sense. This is something to remember in the future, and I probably should have never said anything in the first place. If there is nothing else to add, I will end it here. *Edit: Despite everything suggested about me, I am completely rational and I believe that my morals aren't as scuffed as they sound. I guess so many people take situations way too far, and hearing about EE getting an unsettling amount of hate, death threats, and more at that medium, I felt like I had to defend him, which made me exclude the very reason why he's getting all of it in the first place.*

Mizkif was literally about to call him out, too. You can hear him start saying, "That was the most legendary throw-" before EE cuts him off to talk to his mom. Such a weird and embarrassing move, imo.
That was what disgusted me the most. He cheated and then thanked his parents in an emotional speech and then he only admitted to cheating after getting caught. The way his "apology" was accepted as if it was nothing was surprising. He truly deserved being called out for the scumbag move he did, it wasn't just an honest mistake.
I love the tough love ludwig is giving to EE, telling him point blank this is how hundreds of thousands of people are going to look at him and that type of scrutiny can and will stick with you for a long time. especially since cheating isn't the only problem with this episode. even if in the end he admitted to his wrong(s) he still ruined the show in the moment for the host, other contestants who were/might've been playing fairly and the people watching. On top of that people seeing Miz's reaction to EE's celebration can obviously see he doesn't think this was won fairly. Not to mention this adds more black lash on Miz and his show because people are still cheating either for money or so they don't look "stupid". even though 90% of these questions are stuff we were either taught over a decade ago or not at all.

The worst part is him trying to thug on your heart strings with the ''nobody believed in me'' card and him supposedly calling his mom. It's so embarassing now.
@@android059 came here to say this. of course it's a good idea just harder to do. also miz loves this shit. cheating is part of the show now, and chat is pretty good at finding the cheaters anyway.
From my experience, it is very rare for cheaters to cheat only once. They may only get caught once, but they usually have a long list of other times they've cheated. Sure most of those times we wave off as harmless, but where is the line drawn when cheaters clearly benefit from cheating?
There is no way this guy knew Jean-Jacques Rousseau wrote the Social Contract. He most probably doesn't even have a single clue about who was Rousseau! (An important philosopher around the time of the French revolution.) Or maybe he took one week to memorize the entirety of Wikipedia? Yeah maybe... This guy can barely do a single-digit addition, come on!!! lol
I'm pretty sure the "owning up" part of the apology did not happen. He was forced to admit that it happened as the last resort to save face. This man legitimately betrayed a friend to steal a large sum of money while being fully aware of how wrong it was. Ludwig's doing his best at damage control, but I have a feeling if their positions were swapped, this "friend" of Ludwig's might just do what he did to Mizkif - backstabbing for short term success, gets caught and regret yet again.
When there's a prize on the line for a competition, especially a CASH prize, the argument of "Just own up to the mistakes of cheating and you're redeemed" goes out the window in my eyes. He effectively stole money, which is a felony in most of the world. He got caught and ridiculed while guilt-tripping others by pulling the race card like he's done before, and then when he realized he wasn't gonna get away from his crime, he fessed up for ONE of the problems, and not the entire competition. Sure, we'll never know if he cheated the entire competition, but there's a nice little saying about liars: "Once you've caught someone in one lie, it becomes a whole lot easier to catch them in other, bigger lies." Most times people that lie start off small, realize they got away with it, and keep going bigger and bigger till they get caught, where they then admit to lying. That's the path of a pathological liar, and I'd not be surprised if EE was one. With all that said, I reiterate: There is no forgiveness for someone committing a felony/crime, only justice in a court of law. They will rightfully be known as a cheater hopefully for the rest of their life, and will feel the guilt of almost allowing himself to steal 50k from the rightful winner of the competition.
Yeah. Watching interrogations a lot, there seems to be a pattern. They confess to smoking weed a few times to show they are being honest but the weed confession is just a tactic to hopefully get across as being honest, so they later can deny the more serious charges. No way this dummy didn't cheat from start to finish. Probably even first round which he won, including the pines episode.
I had a vaguely positive opinion on EE before this. The fact that Miz had such a serious plea for people not to cheat during the finale, and he still cheated anyway, shows his true character a lot in my eyes. He even popped off like crazy and thanking his parents without a shred of regret. If I had a friend that pulled off something so greedy and deceitful while also literally stealing 50k I would be absolutely furious. Miz under reacted imo, I feel so bad for him.
He didn't pocket the money though. Miz reacted like a professional and just took it on the chin and tried to let the cheater become the better person. I also had a fairly positive opinion on EE and sure that was a shitty thing to do but at least he admitted it and didn't pocket the money. You have to make mistakes to grow. We've all made some before, some little, some large, but its how you act while no one is watching which says more. Even if the apology was forced it doesn't matter because they saw a fault in their logic and came to that conclusion, I'm assuming, on their own.
@@ultimaq8730 I've got a few stories about him as a streamer and just as a not so good dude which have left a bad taste in my mouth every time I've given him a chance. Even if you don't care about the money or even if EE owned up to it at the end, it still ruined the experience for Miz which he doesn't deserve.
Don’t feel too bad for Miz, this is still content and people talking, and at the end of the day that’s what Miz really wants. I’m sure it bothers him (and I hope it isn’t bothering him enough to avoid another season). At the end of the day it’s his show, this is how he decided to run it, and he’s getting more views from the cheating. Wins all around for content. I'm from Norway, and we actually learned about Jean-Jacques Rousseau and the 'Social Contract', pretty sure I've learned about him twice during my education even. Once briefly in high-school, and once more in depth in Uni. In Uni here in Norway (we don't really have 'college' here, just University), every person has to take a course called 'Ex-Phil' though their bachelor degree. It's just kind of basic 'philosophy', the point of it is to encourage 'critical thinking', any student studying at Uni needs to at least have some background knowledge on basic Philosophical history to complete their degree, regardless of the type of degree. Some might argue it's pointless or stupid, but I honestly think it's pretty good. Regardless of what kind of job you're going into, it's useful to be able to think independently, and know your moral and human rights. That being said... I would have totally blanked on that question myself. Because although when I heard 'Social Contract' I knew I knew who wrote it, I had no chance recalling the name on a time limit 😂. People will make fun of streamers on the show for what they get wrong and stuff, which is a big reason why many cheat I think, to preserve their pride. But pretty much every person will struggle to recall things they learned years ago, particularly when under time pressure and on a time limit.

He even lied during his apology, he said he was mad because of the river question and that's why he cheated HE CLEARLY CHEATED ON THE RIVER QUESTION ALSO AND ON QUESTIONS BEFORE IT HE CHEATED THROUGH OUT THE SHOW
At least he admitted to cheating, that in itself can be hard, but it can be extra hard to admit to the scale of your wrongdoings and therefore you end up sugarcoating it a bit. While I do agree it would be better if was upfront about it the most important thing was that the rightful winner won.

My solution is to just use different tricks to expose the cheaters. Like casually asking further questions about the topic they got right, you can ask the question 10 minutes later, when you're already on to different questions so that wikipedia is not right in front of them. You can also sneak a college level question in middle school level and see if anybody gets it right (mute everyone so they don't give the cheater a clue to just get that question wrong like everybody else)

Gotta say for the Andrea one, they were told to put chat in emote mode, not turn it off, that was only like the 2nd episode or something. I also think part of the problem with Miz is he constantly does this 'troll serious' thing, so no one ever truly takes him seriously. Even with Mia she was so obviously cheating and he called it out a couple times and she was clearly jokingly responding and he just let it go...so it was like he's totally just joking and he's not serious at all. Also very minor thing, I think the EE part with '128 - 44.55' I think that is 125 and he 'crossed' the 5 like to 'break' it like the .55 breaks the 5, it's a 4 now, minus 4 is zero. That's not exactly how that usually works, but I think that's what that is, a 5 with a strike through it, not actualyl an 8. Not saying he didn't cheat, of course he did, but I think that's not a correct example

I think i do have a solution for the cheating problem, but it might not be logistically possible: Have all the streamers with their normal stream setup for the viewers, but make them join a second discord call with their phone only for miz's team that run the show. The phone camera is pointing from behind them, onto their screens, so nobody can cheat, the viewers are reassured, and the privacy of the streamers is kept, because their phone cams aren't displayed on stream. although a great idea, a lot of the streamers get on there phone after they get the answer locked in and cant change it. I also had an idea similar where Miz or his team just send each contestant a camera with the wires and a tripod to set up behind them to look at the screens. But the problem in that one is a lot of the streamers don't even know that they are going to be on the show until a few days before because a lot of people drop out at the last second because they have something else to do that is more important.
Not being a simp, but Extra Emily is actually a great content creator, and it's sad she only gets a couple hundred viewers, because she does some silly stuff plus always has a smile on her face. Legitimately, if I'm having a bad day I go see if she's on. The other day she was reenacting Squid Game in English in real time while the show was playing off to the side. I saw her a couple months ago when she did the Mario 64 speedrun competition against Emiru, and Mizkif kept getting "angry" at how positive and happy she always was despite losing.
@@dickurkel6910 Not a weird thing to say. Literally every time I say I like a female that does something online I get called a simp. You probably have too. Even males. I could say that I like Sykkuno or CORPSE or anyone else in the twitch realm and people just say simp.
That’s such a shame. I voted Emily since round one so I’m super proud that she won… just a huge shame her spotlight was outshined by EE. Especially on the final Schooled. Super big shame.
he didnt "own up", he only confessed because he got caught. imagine stealing 50k from a friend, its even worse than if it was a random guy you dont know. atroic with the aboslute trash take laughing it off thinks its ok to steal 50k from a friend
I think it's so scummy to cheat when it effects someone. If you're cheating in your own test at school, you don't hurt anyone. He almost scammed someone out of 50k. At least he admitted to it, but he still did it.
An irl Schooled would legitimately be the perfect way to end it, and having more contestants would definitely help add to the chaotic nature a real classroom has. Of course I think there should be a lot more added to it, you don’t want a person to fly out from another country only to have them leave or stop playing after 7 minutes. So I do hope it actually happens but the whole otk creative team is gonna have to think of a way to keep the creators happy and not bored from not knowing a 3rd grader question and getting out after 10 minutes. Overall would love to watch the continuation of schooled but due to cheating it kinda ruined the whole premise, and the introduction of 50k definitely allowed others to cheat even if they did feel bad, like I can guarantee almost all of the viewers would cheat to get 50k
@@Cancer. streamers have had a lot of events with many people, and usually there will be one or two people fucking around, but it’s more controlled chaos than anything. It’s also not like one of those streamer events where they just fuck around and play dodge ball. They’re just answering questions

I'm gonna throw my hat in the ring and agree with you that while it might be difficult to coordinate, the IRL finale would be great! Picture all the Otk members standing around the "classroom" wearing suits and sunglasses making sure nobody is cheating. Lots of potential for a great event there.
Stealing $50k is a crime. He did not own-up, he got caught. He took the win, phoned his Mom and was down the street around the corner. He forgave himself in his "own-up" he dosen't say the word cheat. he says "surcomed to a little temptation" The show is dead! being a streamer attracts extreme personalities, narcissists to the nicests people with no inbetween. If anything the $50k finally proved this show cannot work. Ludwig is just trying to be a good guy here but he is peeing in our pockets and telling us it is raining. The who wants to be a millionaire cheater Charles Ingram went to trial and was sentanced to 12 months with a massive fine.
Yeah, I agree. I get why Ludwig didn't want to completely throw his friend under the bus, but he probably should have just not weighed in since this is far from objective. I don't agree with cancelling everyone over every little thing, but stuff like the animal abuse with Alinity and trying to cheat someone out of 50k aren't minor things. They're basically the equivalent of serious crimes and the fact that they get away with barely apologizing with no negative consequences always rubs me the wrong way. Any of us would get in serious trouble for that stuff.
Well as a streamer, his reputation is tarnished and he probably won't get invited back to any OTK events again, and will just be less likely to get collabs at all in the future. Really not worth the $50k even if he did pocket the money, since his career just took a nosedive. The game show itself is fine, the fact that people cheat just gives it more attention which is exactly what Mizkif wants. He's probably disappointed that it happened in the finals but moreso for the other contestant than for his own show, since she didn't get to celebrate her victory.

At least he admitted to it in the end. Over the years I have learned to forgive and forget. It's sad he disappointed his parents by cheating. But parents are the most forgiven of us all. In my college medical terminology class the teacher used the same tests every single semester and my friend had stolen all the answers and copied them the semester before. So when we became overwhelmed by Anatomy & Physiology 2 class work plus the lab we would just memorize the test for medical terminology. (A,B,A,A,A,C,D, ETC) So yeah, I still had to take the final and passed it with an A. But always felt bad about that. I did tell my Mom. She passed away recently though. I miss her a lot.
He only admitted to it because of decisive evidence. And he's then been caught probably cheating for other questions when he claimed he wasn't cheating.
@@zachdiaziii9747 in his video last night he said “you’re watching this unedited video instead of Netflix”. Still, unedited, sent to an editor, edited himself, it takes mental planning to research and make a video like this. He’s definitely putting work in and playing with the algorithm.
The common thread I always see in these situations is that when outright caught, people will only admit to as little of the wrongdoing as they can. It’s never just “A friend saw me struggling and sent me the answer to the math question.” If someone fesses up to just the part that they can no longer deny, that’s not remorse that’s damage control. It’s always more without fail.
It really sucks to see that EE did that. I love the guy, was really holding out hope that he didn’t cheat. At least it was made right at the end and Emily got the win she deserved
I really like Schooled. I enjoyed it by watching the vods and play along with them. But if the episodes have cheating, it destroys the fun and spoil the ep for me. Disappointed that it ended that way and probably Miz will not make another season of it.
It would be cool if he did 1-off episodes IRL with people. He could probably schedule them around TwitchCon/shitcon/shitcamp pretty easily, IRL is the only true way to make sure people will not cheat. Miz could also just try to only invite trustworthy people (Jerma, Northernlion, etc.), but honestly idk if he could get 8 weeks worth of trustworthy streamers lol.
In the second bit of evidence (the whiteboard), the part that says 128 is actually a 125 with a slash through it to indicate the reduction you do with subtraction. That being said he didn't put the slash in the 2 or the 1, so it is a little weird.

Kind of POS behavior tbh coming from the guy
well he admitted to it so he didnt end up stealing it but yeah.
Worst part was the calling of the parents at the end. Farming empathy points after knowingly ruining the finale is wild to me
It's also to prevent being talked to by miz/em in the moment, since you could slip up easily. The empathy points don't hurt either of course
That part is actually uncomfortably deceitful

I think i do have a solution for the cheating problem, but it might not be logistically possible:
Have all the streamers with their normal stream setup for the viewers, but make them join a second discord call with their phone only for miz's team that run the show. The phone camera is pointing from behind them, onto their screens, so nobody can cheat, the viewers are reassured, and the privacy of the streamers is kept, because their phone cams aren't displayed on stream.
But like i said, it is logistically a lot more work for all involved

thats 5 times more work than to install software and even that is too much for some streamers
I'm pretty sure this is his last season since he's been dealing with this nonsense from the beginning
although a great idea, a lot of the streamers get on there phone after they get the answer locked in and cant change it. I also had an idea similar where Miz or his team just send each contestant a camera with the wires and a tripod to set up behind them to look at the screens. An irl Schooled would legitimately be the perfect way to end it, and having more contestants would definitely help add to the chaotic nature a real classroom has. Of course I think there should be a lot more added to it, you don’t want a person to fly out from another country only to have them leave or stop playing after 7 minutes.
Luds a good dude for accepting his answer, but I'm sure everyone would be pretty skeptical at this point.
Just because he said he accepts it in a video doesnt mean he truly believed it
of what you act like he robbed a bank or stole a kids bike lmao
@@neonberry4427 It's worse that EE stole directly from Miz and Emily than if EE stole from a bank, if that's what you're getting at
Lud working hard to pump out quality content, I appreciate it!
shut up bot
He literally just sat down, filmed this in a single take, and sent it off to his editor.
@@whiitehead This could also be a possibility and I find it hilarious that it is a possibility LOL
Oh. I didn’t notice this was a year old and that what I said was already proven true a year ago. Haha jesus.
It really sucks to see that EE did that. I love the guy, was really holding out hope that he didn’t cheat. At least it was made right at the end and Emily got the win she deserved
Emily was looking at her other monitor too, its 3rd place who deserved the win AFAIK
I see what ludwigs doing with this channel is and I’m glad someone so level headed is making these videos
