Dean Wormer handled the transition from academia to mayor quite well. You know his grandfather was a bounty hunter at the end of the Civil War working for Ks Red Legs.
My hats off for you Clint to a man that can take seriously the art of acting which is afterall just adults pretending, you pretended very well, we all believed you,
I love the way Clint Eastwood never admitted defeat in that meeting then managed to make a groundbreaking statement just as he was leaving that made them have to stop and think
Good ole Fletcher was civilized as Mayor. Once he got his pockets full of Union gold he became ruthless then turned on Josey Wales and the rest of his soldiers.
I've always enjoyed any Clint Eastwood film because he's always had a way with words 😀 Right turn Clyde! Go ahead Make my Day! Did I Fire 5 shots or 4? I love his Philo Beddo character in Every which way but loose and any which way you can
In case any if you don't know, this is the movie version of what was quite real, the Zodiac Killer who started killing around 1968 - never caught. In one of his last installments, he was going after kids just like in this movie, dated 1971. Also filmed in San Francisco. If you don't mind the pun, this is not a dead-on comparison to the real case, regarding the zodiac killer, but it did involve another psychopath in San Francisco and I think that the director got the idea from the zodiac killer. Strictly a guess. Not a direct comparison.
For so many years, I was wondering what the censors bleeped out. It was "Hard on." The Naked Gun loved this scene. Drebin killed an entire park production of a play thinking it was real.
The dialogue is absolutely fabulous... I think mabe in reality....a person would be considered insubordinate . That's why I like this part so much. Post H.B. MR. EASTWOOD 😃 IT'S A WONDERFUL MOVIE. 😍 🥰 😇.
What a cast! Plus actor John Vernon who plays the major here in this flick was the voice of both Iron Man & the Sub-Mariner in the 1967 television cartoon series "Marvel Superheroes" 😉
Good Ol Classic Clint!!! 94 years old and still kicking. You know, Mr. Eastwood is a big tall man at 6’4 (maybe he’s shrunk a bit). But yah, I didn’t realize just how tall he is until I saw him on George Stroumboulopoulous Live. He absolutely dwarfed George.
One of a kind, there isn't now or never will be anyone to compare with the wonderful Clint
This man is a true national treasure. Clint Eastwood is the best!
In the Dirty Harry series'
He shut the East Coast leftys up with their " progressive" attitudes with Magnum Force.
I remember watching this in the theater and everyone went crazy laughing when he said I think he’s got a point 😂
The guy with the hard on certainly did. 🤭
Damn you must be like 80

From "The Outlaw Josey Wales."
That was John Vernon.

Dean Wormer: Animal House 😎
Very handsome. Just like in Rawhide.
I need rescuing from Bob and his antics. He's been crippling my beauty for many years. And my health. Exploiting my intelligence for his own benefit and his friends.
You can't beat Clint!!!😊
I got to tell ya, I love every single movie that this man acted. Especially "Dirty Harry" and "Magnum Force" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👊💪💪💪💪💪
The every which way films were also some of Clint’s finest work. Gotta give props to Clyde the chimp as well. 😆
Word 👊🏾
Clyde the OrangUtan.
All the Dirty Harry movies
The Gauntlet could have been one but it had its own great story line.
Clint is your national treasure. 🇬🇧
Harry has a way with words
Clint Eastwood...an iconic legend.
He has a point.
Excellent lines and delivery 😂. Nice smirk too 😅
and you know much people expect from the force to follow rules and proper procedure..bc thats in the end upholds our democratic institutions....but sometimes bend law a bit in tough, dirty harry cases.
We're lucky this film was made when it was, the Hollywood elite would never allow it now.
Depends on what narrative is being pushed
@@Charlie_Crown I don't believe so. Some whiners might make mention of the film, but it would never be made at this point in time.

Hollywood is still the number one promoter of gun violence. Not sure what reality you are living in.
John Vernon was a Tough Sun of a Gun, but he Withers next to Dirty Harry.
My favorite Movie is John Vernon pursuing Clint, in the Outlaw Josie Wales.
He was real lucky Josie sent him on a Missouri boat ride. 😂
@@daviclar867Josie was lucky Vernon didn’t put him on secret double probation 👍

"I think he's gotta point." - Mr. Mayor
Remember the actor: John Vernon. Besides Animal House, he also starred with Clint in Josey Wales, as the Union Officer trying to catch him.

Outlaw Josie.
Animal house 🤪
"The time has come for someone to put his foot down. And that foot is me."
When men were men and Bud lite wasn’t even a thought.
Hellz yeah, Clint is the last of his kind and Era especially for cinema. Freaking sad when this guy passes.
Are you not a man anymore? What happened. I think most men would say they are still men. Maybe you changed.
Getting endless " Broke Back" type now.
Nobody can deliver a line like this like Clint.
Dylan left you feeling aroused, and you didn't know what to do with those feelings. 🌈

CALLAHAN! Watch yourself or you’ll be on double secret probation
@Caber Tosser Harvey Milk was never mayor, nor was he elected to SF board of supervisors until 1978. Nice try at gay bashing.
Dirty Harry has now been placed on, "double secret probation." 😂
Great one from Dean Wormer.
And….

Out collecting for the Red Cross! Oh yeah. Clint has a way with words.
John Vernon was such a great "charter actor".

Clint is still a very handsome man ❤
He liked "dean Wormer". He was in Other movies with him
Movie is as good today as it was in 1971!!
If you take out the graphics and animations, it's not.

The time when movies were made for pure entertainment and were a pleasure to watch.

Good ole Fletcher was civilized as Mayor. Once he got his pockets full of Union gold he became ruthless then turned on Josey Wales and the rest of his soldiers.
He does, indeed, have a point.
No wonder the mayor didn't go haywire on that wise crack. He let him off the hook in The Outlaw Josey Wales.
The lines used in these films are the best and the actors are the best of the best compared to today's ones
Andrew Robinson as Scorpio was one of the creepiest villains in movie history.

One of the best lines ever , without a doubt
Leave it to Dirty Harry to get his point across to the mayor
When man was a man.
Now we are all so lost.
John Vernon just had the look and the voice. Great stare and voice. Hard to find anymore
Clint is one of a kind that cannot be replaced. Copied but never the original. He is the ""OGG""
So Fletcher was the mayor before.
We. Need. Him. Now
Harry would definitely clean the streets in new york right now
And SF!!!
That was a production of Sheakspeare in the park. You killed 7 actors , good ones.
Another classic Clint line
