  • We are spoilt for choice when micro-brands are able to produce really beautiful, as well as functional watches in modern day times
    This Officine Techniche Gargano is such a watch..
    I have enjoyed this on the wrist for a month now and although I share 6 gripes, I still feel this is a beauty and a little gem of a watch

    The dive watch section of the market is absolutely saturated, however excellence will always prevail. So many dive watches look like a combination of parts joined together, but this watch looks like each part influenced the design of the adjacent part. This watch has synergie. Love it.

    Loctite... just to be clear, means threadlocker.
    Loctite 222MS Purple is a low strength threadlocker formula designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners which require easy disassembly with standard hand tools.

    Great review and a beautiful looking watch. To me it has Oris Aquis vibes but it seems like the movement in this one is considerably better than the relatively basic and budget Sellita SW200s that are in so many Oris divers that also cost considerably more than this watch.

    It's a beautiful watch which I would have considered buying if the price wasn't quite a bit too steep at EUR 1000. The Direnzo Eclipse is IMO very similar in specs and is also a microbrand with very nice design and it's more affordable at 750 Swiss Francs. If they dropped the price by 250 Euros, I'd probably buy one.

    Peter, you are always so kind and nice towards the watches you review (they all gain no more than 2 seconds per day, the latching experience is always buttery smooth, the rotating bezels all align perfectly ….) that I really want to watch a video where you would roast a timepiece you don’t enjoy.

      If I wouldn't buy them or wear them, I wont waste my money with them, so I wont review them

    Hi, first of all you pronounced the brand name correctly. Yours is the first review in English and it is also the first to highlight those small defects that you mentioned. I also think that I would have liked more to be able to see the movement inside: there are many watches where this is also possible if, often there is nothing to see, especially if we are talking about Mijota movements of the 8000 series. I will wait to get it. Perhaps, a second version will be released where these small teething problems will be solved. Many thanks for your video, greetings from 'Italy!

    • @neutronalchemist3241
      @neutronalchemist3241 4 месяца назад +1

      In respect to a Sellita 200 it's thinner, has far more power reserve, and I suspect you can have a top grade G100 (so better finishing and +-7seconds/day) for the price of a standard grade Sellita 200 (no special finishing and +-12 seconds/day).

    • @theshadow1812
      @theshadow1812 4 месяца назад

      @@neutronalchemist3241 I see the G100 is used in the Aquastar Model 60 and some Farer models - Even the Serica range now uses COSC Soprod Movements! I think ETA stepping side ways has meant that Soprod, LJP and Sellita have lifted their games and given us some very good calibres - 10 years ago you would turn your nose up if a watch had a Seillita movement - not anymore.

    A very nice watch with a balanced design and an interesting choice of font for the bezel. It's a pity one can't see the movement. Also, I find it a little overpriced. I bought a Zelos Spearfish 40mm last year with the same movement and in my opinion comparable finishing (and on-the-fly bracelet adjustment) and it cost me about 730 € including the customs fee and shipping.

    • @neutronalchemist3241
      @neutronalchemist3241 4 месяца назад +1

      100 € are for the better diving specs (in watches so thin, 100m more costs) and €150 for manufacturing in Switzerland instead of Hong Kong.
