I think there is fine but distinct line in judgment of the media we consume. I mean individually. And there is a much thicker line between genders. I can give you Titanic in any Top List if you are female or feel feminine. Otherwise this movie can't get into anywhere close to Top 500 movies in my book. I can get behind women/girls fascination with flicks like this though.

+Frank T If someone doesn't enjoy a movie too much even though everyone else loves it, he shouldn't add it on there list. Cinefix didn't enjoy Scorsese's films, so what ??? They aren't saying he is a bad movie director or his movies aren't good, they just didn't enjoy him enough for him to make the list. Remember Cinefix has seen THOUSANDS of movies and can only pick 50 for this list, it's hard to pick which ones.

"In Bruges" is definitely one of my favourite films of all time. Right up there with "2001" and "godfather II" in my books. I was super sad to not see it!! Everyone's taste is different and you guys have awesome taste! So who am I to judge. But seriously, In Bruges soooo should have been on there

Benjamin Carter-Brown one of my personal faves too! I think it’s one of the most underrated films of all time. The acting and chemistry between Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleason is brilliant and so is the writing.

Here is something I hope you all can understand: I feel, as many do, that Empire is the best film in the Star Wars universe. So well written, acted, filmed, edited, executed to, well, perfection. Yet it is not actually my favorite SW movie. That would be the original, plain old Star Wars that I saw in a giant theatre in May of 1977. It's all about expectations. Before SW I had no expectations because I had no idea what was coming. I'd never seen anything like it before. The sheer joy with which I viewed the first film was the ultimate moviegoing experience, nothing but pure delight! Afterwards, there were always expectations. Empire lived up to them, after that, mostly disappointment. Not saying that they were all necessarily bad films, just that they could never meet expectations again because the bar had been set so high. I'll never forget the innocence from that first film, though. It truly feels like it was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away.

Am a huge fan of Blade Runner, saw no reason whatsoever to make a sequel. BR is damn near perfection: color, lighting, pacing, editing, writing, acting. From Harrison Ford's narration to musical score by Vangelis to Tears in Rain this is one beautiful movie experience.

KaleLikesWaffles Film being subjective is not relevant to the topic of a list being generic... Why do you kids alway crawl under that naïveté defense for literally everything? Haha.

@@laustcawz2089 Paul Thomas Anderson wasn’t trying to copy anything else. He just made Magnolia the same way he does the rest of his films, exactly the way he wants them to be made. He’s said in interviews many times that he doesn’t try and copy anyone else. He simple makes the film the way he wants to watch it.
