this song changed my life. I first heard this while in full blown meth addiction, Coming down from one of many multi-day benders. I heard this and i remembered how to feel and cry. I hadn't for years as far as i can remember. It didnt get me clean at the time but it planted a seed. to this day, 5+ years later.......by the grace of God, i have kept clean from all hard drugs. This song was a seed that got planted, and God watered. Brother......thank you. ODAAT

I am blown away by this song, the story is told so perfectly. I am 11months clean from crack cocaine. This track made my hairs stand on edge, shivers right through me. This song has got me back into wanting to help people recover. You are an awesome inspiration. Keep it up brother. Everybody has a story, a reason why they have ended up this way, but with good people inspiring people. There is always hope. Massive respect brother 🙏

I am in hospital on a detox from the alcohol now, so I can get myself clean from all addictions. Your words are driving me forward. When you talk about an apocalypse I can see it myself. You are an amazingly honest person and one of the true inspirations, I heard this song through a friend and a hit me like a bulldozer, but it filled my veins, heart, soul and mind and absolutely surrounded me, filled me, lifted me up. "There's no me, there's no you, there's just us". That is f***ing so powerful brother.

@@Colicchie hey man, don't know if you'll get back to me or not but I thought I'd try reach out.
I have a really bad issue with heroin and alcohol, just had a dig before I type this
Feels like I'm trapped and there's no hope, I'm only 25 and been this way since I was 17 and it's gotten a lot worse this last year, ever since I got into the needle. Injecting heroin and crack every day, drinking heavy, pregabalin, valium and basically anything that will make me numb.
I don't want to live like this anymore but I don't feel strong enough to get out of it. Like I said I feel totally trapped and hopeless.
I'd love to be able to have a conversation with you about it because you clearly understand it and have been through everything that I have and more.
I feel pathetic and desperate by trying to reach out to you, but if you see this please get back to me.
Peace and love anyway brother, all the best and keep doing what you're doing.
      ☮️❤️☯️

I sent my brother to mental health this past Friday. He was suffering from drug induced schizophrenia. He came into my mom's house waving a knife and talking to himself. I called and had him taken away. He popped hot for 8 different drugs. He's been clean for 3 days and out of mental health since yesterday. I made him go thru all his stuff to prove he had nothing else. He found 2 fentanyl packs in his wallet and cried handing them to me begging for me to not be mad. He handed them to me and I said don't worry I'll get rid of it. I had his drug bag at my house with needles, spoons and his crack and molly I found. I told him today starts a new day and after 11 years it was time. Last night I sent him a job application, today he started his new job. He called me crying and happy saying Sissy, I got the job! I was happy for him and proud he actually went to the interview. I refuse to let my baby brother die because of addiction, but to be honest I hated him for a long long time. I couldn't understand until this year I decided to see past the addiction and see my little brother struggling. His wife left him and took their babies, he's 30 starting all over. Listen to understand, people. You don't have to get it, but listen to understand. He's not less of a person, he's a hurting young man with a darkness that follows him. We all hurt but we all deal with it differently. I now sit and listen to him instead of ignoring him. He thanked me for sending him away. He thanked me for helping him get a job. He thanked me for still being his sister even tho he's stolen from me and hurt our family over and over. Today was the first time I'd seen him hopeful in a long time. I'm sending him this because this is word for word the life he has been living. Bless you, sweetheart. And everyone else, even if it's just one day sober, celebrate yourself and know you have people who want to understand and help. I used to say once a junkie always a junkie and I've watched friends and school mates die from this shit... I changed and started listening. I now say once my brother always my brother. I'll never look at an addict the same way again. I pray everyone going thru addiction/ recovery is successful and finds hope for every day to get help or continue their recovery.

I've don't think I've heard any more beautifully said. "5Once my brother always my brother". I can only wonder how many addicts might make it back if they had family who felt the way you do. I speak from experience. If God let's me live till Feburay I'll be 12 years clean after 15 years of pure HELL. My sisters unfortunately do not feel as you do and that's their right. They choose not to know the person I am now and believe I'm that same person I was all those years ago. But again that's the right. My mama was my biggest cheerleader my whole life inclyding in my recovery. I thank God that she lived to see me get clean and have some symbalance of normalcy back. God bless you and your brother. Still praying for all those who are still out there. Someday may we all make it back.

I absolutely LOVE this song! I spent over three fourths of my entire life high on some drug or another. A "trusted" family member forced it on me when I was just 9, by holding me down and forcing the needle into my arm. This continued until I was 12 years old by which time I had no choice, I was already hooked. I continued to get high nearly every fucking day for the next 30 years! I tried to committ suicide several times. My children have basically lived their whole lives without me. July 23rd, 2019 was the LAST time I EVER touched a needle! And I am still clean to this day! All 3 of my children are back in my life, in fact I live with my oldest son. I have so so much to be grateful for! Thank you VERY much for your music! It is VERY inspiring for me!!!

Addiction is a foreign language to those who haven't lived it. I didn't understand either until I spent my entire 20's battling heroin. Absolutely ruined everything I had, 31 now and trying to rebuild. 55 days clean. We can do this.

Yes! This is literally my favorite part! Everyone around me tries to talk about...yet have never had done a single drug and has drank on New Years so I guess that makes them have that right. They will never understand. It really gets to me and I lash out at them. Yesterday after 11 years clean I finally reached out for my mental health and how to cope better because I have been craving pills, Heroin, alcohol, etc. After 11 years sober I crave it still so fucking much, but I finally decided to seek help for my mental state.

This is so true and it's such a beautiful song. I have been an addict for 8 years. Spent 7 of those years in complete denial because I always kept my shit together. Then I ended up in jail and it changed my outlook in life. I chose to get clean. I have never been happier and felt more free. Its such a beautiful feeling. I am so proud of you for being clean and staying clean. I was actually struggling today. So many memories and feelings I don't want to remember and then I randomly seen this song posted of Facebook and it truly helped me, so I thank you for that.

I'm 17, and this is my second time in a Rehab facility. I've been through hell and back with my addiction and my parents own addiction. You'd think I'd have known better, but curiosity killed the cat, right? I've been clean and sober since July 8th, 2019. It's been a fucking struggle, and continues to be every damn day but I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is so fucking precious, I wish I'd have known that sooner..

Nothing truer has ever been spoken by anyone ever!!! People who have never been an addict will never truly understand what it’s like to go through this unless they were to experience it!!! To be clean now an to still struggle daily with my past as addict but to have learned so much because of it is such a blessing because I strive to be my best self. It is still so difficult to be clean because there are so many people who just don’t understand what it’s like and it is hard 😢 but everyday I fight to be clean and your songs hit so deep an so true, it means so much to hear from an about someone who has been through what I have an can relate to what I have been through it really helps me make it just one more day sober..

Doesn't get anymore real than this. For everybody who's been there, I have recently started a national support group for ALL of the Underdogs out there, in every stage of addiction and recovery. The Underdog Society is the name of our Facebook page. Anyone that can follow and share, please do! My hope is to have an Underdog Foundation running by 2019 that will be able to fund detox and treatment beds for those unable to pay. We can't get there without support from each other though. This man is a solid guy. As a heavy alcoholic and wanting to get clean I just sent a random Facebook message venting and opening up about addiction. Never figured I'd get a response, bit it was just comfortable to lay all my shit on the table to a non-judgmental stranger. Never thought that message would turn into daily check ups and attempts to help me get into a detox facility. For someone to take time out of their busy life to offer a complete stranger words of hope and advice changed me. I will forever have the utmost respect for this gentleman.

I've listened to some music that gives me goosebumps but this one has got to be 100% true to how i have been twice before & now I've relapsed AGAIN..... No-one will ever understand how hard it is unless they've experienced it themselves.. These words you've wrote r the truth & more. My heart goes out to anyone who's dealing with the struggle as i am this very moment in time.... All I can say is to keep trying & u will succeed. Don't let people put u down if u do fail cuz the more u keep on trying,i no u can do it.... Be around positive people & i no it'll be hard, but don't go back to the same people u were involved with before cuz it'll never heal u properly.... If u can still be around them, then hat's off to u but just don't set yourself up to fail cuz it's so disheartening!!! Good luck to u all....my thoughts r with u xxx

Thank you for being you ❤️ you'll be on repeat till my eyes shut. And to everyone else don't let this be your last day. Tomorrow can always be a restart for who you want to be not who you've become today. ✨️ reach for the stars but please stay grounded. Love yall any way.

Keep pushing the positive message, it feels great giving back after you have cleaned up. I came from homeless pushing dope to a cert. Addictions counselor! There is light but you need to trust and have faith in that. Talk to a trusted person and get help! It's so worth it.
