Lyrics
Do you feel at home in limbo?
Hiding a broken vow
A phantom at the window
Can you swallow the shame?
Has your courage been burnt out?
Faded away
There won’t be a saviour in sight
But it’s okay
‘Cause we’re comfortable
We’re stood at the edge of the world
Seize the snakes
They’re living a lie
Blinded by a candle
They’re saying goodbye
We’re stood at the edge of the world
When the clock runs down to zero
We’ll stand up and take a bow
So quick to play the hero
Are you fanning the flames?
Are you torching the lighthouse?
Stood in way
Complicity burning so bright yet we delay
Are you culpable?
Seize the snakes
They’re living a lie
Blinded by a candle
They’re saying goodbye
We’re stood at the edge of the world
Drag the lake
When the water runs dry
We’ll be slaves to the anchor
The Devil may cry
We’re stood at the edge of the world
Nothing is holy
We all take the blame
Crumbling slowly
The cliff face belongs to the ocean
So run for your life
Do you remember the tip of the spear?
The edge of the knife?
We’re freshly dismembered
But won’t shed a tear
So run for your life
We’re fighting to stay alive
How can we all survive?
No second chances
We’re stood at the edge of the world
We’re fighting to stay alive

Epitaph Records is an artist-first indie label founded in Los Angeles by Bad Religion guitarist, Brett Gurewitz. Early releases from a variety of punk heavyweights helped launch the 90s punk explosion. Along the way, Epitaph has grown and evolved creatively while sticking to its mission of helping real artists make great recordings on their own terms.

HELLO EVERYONE, GLAD TO BE JOINING ALL OF YOU IN THIS LISTENING EXPERIENCE OF THE NEW ARCHITECTS ALBUM
Yeah ikr. I'm stoked for the rest of the album, I'm listening right now. This intro riff could've been a FIRE screamy boi tbh.
Same here.
Nothing beats having random breakdown strokes when strolling in public.

"How do you do, fellow music listeners?"
This album is a game changer, I love the boldness, the epicness of the sound, the different experimentations, a true experience. I'm grateful for such great artists. ARCHITECTS FOREVER
Most metalcore these days is down tuned and heavier linkin park. It helps that linkin park are my fav band!
This album really is amazing.
Confused listener: what genre is this??!
ARCHITECTS: YES.
Normal metalcore with good sounding synths actually and EDM inspired buildups. Also, some hardstyle inspired kicks at 1:35. Nothing too confusing really.
@@OmenAhead Dont we label that as progressive metalcore nowadays?
Not that i care though, whatever we label it, the music is great🥺

@@imoanadz Yesss! I legit just posted this prior to seeing this comment. This should have been Dante's theme instead of that Subhuman trash.
@@thelordmarvel5282 hahah true, everything suicide silence released after mitch lucker’s death sucksass tho
I've been waiting for that comment
I was a bit scared of how architects style was changing but this is just fucking savage
Facts mate.
amen, quite a few goodies in this one :)
Don't be. Just as your musical tastes change over time, so do the Band's tastes. Compare Owl City who's cranking out the same shit for the last 15 years, to bands that grow and change like Bring Me The Horizon. I didn't like most of their old stuff because it was so immature, but as they've changed and grown, they're new music is fantastic.
Sure, bands you love may make albums that aren't exactly to your tastes, but sometimes they'll also blow your mind with what they create. Growth and change are natural and good.
@@knytetech7732 I haven't appreciated a comment that much for quite a while, well said.
@@knytetech7732 Genuinely agree, change is inevitable and rolling with those punches is what gets you intriguing sounds and products, couldn't agree more.
GSL brought me here. Good intro song pick

Oh yeah 🔥
Can we all take a moment to realize how fuckin damn beautiful this artwork is though. I don't read enough people talking bout that.
The artwork is my favorite thing about the album lmao
Yes, one of the best artworks I've ever seen!
Their best album cover art so far.
it's beautiful of course, but we've already seen something like that, with an astronaut I mean. For example, Avenged Sevenfold - The Stage or Falling In Reverse - Coming Home. Nothing new, but still good
@@pierfrancescopoccianti5780 except for it's not just about an astronaut here. It's about an astronaut *standing in a church* , looking at a ray of sunshine pouring through the window. And that is, indeed, absolutely new, creative and deep concept if you actually think about it.
“It’s a reflection, I felt, of the natural world we live in and how we’ve become so totally removed and alien to it. It’s about us becoming divorced from that - and regaining a glimpse of it.”
- *Dan Searle*
Imagine hearing this song live! So fucking epic!
Imagine hearing the whole album live they need to do a post apocalyptic set when they tour. It needs to happen.
@@mentaltelepathy24 Hell yeah!
I think this is one of the new songs that will fit their liveset. Animals, Discourse is Dead, An Ordinary Extintion, Dead Butterflies, Black Lungs, Meteor, and (hopefully, since It's my favourite) Goliath.
I'm determined to see them live some day! F**king covid
Got me tickets booked for next year at nottingham, cant fuckin wait 🙌

It’s like Starset replaced Dustin with Sam and had Mick Gordon produce a track. I love it.
super yes!!
Exactly, this entire album is heavily Starset like.
Starset ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I really felt that Mick Influence, hope it becomes more widespread

Me too.
IKR they're Amazing as always!
Remember when people said they've gone soft. There's plenty of heavy bangers on this album just like this song. I never doubted Architects, this album is a masterpiece.
So true.
ok I got some goodies from it
True
The soft songs are some of the best too, like Giving Blood and Little Wonder
Yes they are softer. I don't think they would say otherwise. Doesn't mean it's bad. But it ain't holy hell and it ain't daybreaker.
2:47 that choir gives me so much goosebumps
Brilliant vocal melody at the chorus
Yeah it's one of the most "old-sam"ish choruses in the album and it hits so fucking hard.
Have to say, i was kinda scared by the singles but it's way better then i expected. It's no LFLT or AOGHAU but a very good way of reinventing themselves imo.
"how powerful you want this Breakdown?"
"YES"
Can we PLEASE talk about that intro dive bomb-riff AND Sams vocals on the chorus!?! INSANE
They're really not big on that 6/8 feel so I wasn't expecting it to drop like that! It caught me completely off guard the first time I heard it. I thought it was going to drop in their usual slow, bouncy 4/4 with a sorta syncopated backing synth track but damn, that 6/8 feel is just straight up violent. Feels like you're holding on for dear life while sailing through a hurricane.
@@TunnelJumper yeah that hurricane must be Sam's vocals😅🔥
@@TunnelJumper The whole song is straight 4/4 to me and i don't really see where you have that 6/8 feeling. But of course everyone is free to count has he wants :)
@@xavkoston16 That last bit is not condescending at all but anyways, listen to the synths. They give it the 6/8 FEEL AGAINST the 4/4 of the song. The song is obviously in 4/4 but not every song that is in 4/4 is going to have the same feel to it. “Spit The Bone” and “Up And Away” are the only other Architects songs (that come to mind) that have the same 6/8 feel as this. The rest don’t have this sort of “swing” to them.
That Mick Gordon intro... loving the variety of the album, so much mixed feelings. Like life (?
The Emotion is just pouring off of this track
This song is gonna sound soooo EPIC live... cannot wait !!!
Sam's vocals are out of the world
It's amazing....
Almost all songs in this album it is fuc*ng masterpiece
Discovered you on octane, been listening to a bunch of your songs old and new. You have become one of my favorite bands.
Yes
That chorus has so much fucking pressure, it slaps like a sledgehammer holy shit.
Thanks, GSL
MASTERPIECE!! GEETINGS FROM POLAND!!!!!!
No, cos pięknego
I kept reading how soft this album was before listening and I'm just... so confused. This is an absolute banger, along with Impermanence. I love the synth and of course Sams voice.
Yeah those complaining were just haters that don't have anything good to do, than just sit around all day and spread hate on the internet. This album is amazing from every point of view
There is more heavy songs. Animals, Black Lungs, Discourse is dead, libertine, Goliath, Impermanence, this. People just want breakdown after breakdown. Nobody can deny that this chorus, specifically this one, is so fucking fire.
@@narufan498 Agreed. I am a bit sad at the lack of Blegh in any songs but I don't believe that diminishes an album or song by any means. That "UGH!" in Imperanence is massive none the less.
This the hardest track on the album!!
This track brings Starset vibes and I actually like the direction they're going
True, I can hear a bit of Starset here ❤
OH SNAP that intro
This album reminds me of "A Thousand Suns" by Linkin Park. A different style but still with the main features of the band, although a lot of people don't think the same
As a LP fan, yeah, I can definitley see the parallels here, and I love it 🙌🏻💙
@@linkin0983 sounds more like Living Things than A Thousand Suns imo
This album definitely has an LP vibe
My favorite from the album. The chorus is so fucking good. And this breakdown/sing-along thing at 2:47 is beyond beautiful
This track grew on me so much.
Dont sleep on this one.
I’ve this song stuck in my head ever since I first the song in the album and I love it
Alright Nik, come on in.
He's probably still sleeping.. xD
''Do you feel at home in limbo?'' first line and I already feel it

Another masterpiece of an album

That song is definitely a masterpiece. Sweet Jesus
We stood at the edge of the world
SQUEEZEEEEEE MYYYYYYY JAAAAAAKKKEEEEEEE
The drums sound so crisp like always you can hear everything dan is hitting and makes me happy fire album
The bridge on this track and Little Wonder is so effin' good
Was sceptical when it came out
But this album fuckin grown on me as a mountain
this chorus is really one of their best bangers
Going from Discourse is dead to Dead Butterflies and this on to Impermanence... is absolutely fucking 🔥 😇😈
From 3:12 onwards is pure madness! Architects fukcing rock \m/
I bought the CD and it's on in my car every morning going to work, this is my favorite with "Discourse Is Dead", amazing record of 2021.
Bruh i felt the need to headbang to this so badly... THIS IS AMAZING
I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH IT´S INCREDIBLE
What a song
Now that's the architects I know and love!
The beginning got me playing some mad Ninja Turtles.
THAT CHORUS, damn!!! 🔥🔥🔥 Sam's voice, awesome as always! And the lyrics... Just wow! Love the whole album
This song go crazy
Intro had those Doom Mick Gordon vibes.
Not enough Djent for mick gordon
Yeah not entirely mick not quite sure what it reminds me of i can't think of it.
Holy f*** you guys are under-rated you need to go world wide your fan base will blow up.
Maybe the Devil's been dying to feel something more beautiful than the flames that have consumed "him".
Another amazing track!! I love it. ❤
This whole album is gold.
Right off the bat, I felt like this song has some similarities with Devil May Cry's soundtrack (especially DMCV), and then the lyrics comes on "The devil may cry!". I was shook lol
I love architects, so I heard this song a while back. Recently, I've been playing dmc with my boyfriend and absolutely thought the same thing lol

Awesome song
I got Dead By April vibes on the intro riff, verse and the synths. Idk about you guys but imo that’s interesting and awesome.
That breakdown with the clean vocals is so sick
What a bangger!!!!!!
The Mixing in this album is out of this world! If you close your eyes, you can actually see the faders moving
soo good
The variety of the songs belonging to the album I've heard so far is just sick - considering every single song is just dope! The range from animals, over meteor to this one...
Impressive work, once again. When I listen to your music, I just feel great and in harmony. Thanks for that.
