@@antondavies3136there are a few things wrong with your comment. Firstly, it doesn’t come across as a middle finger. Definitely a satirical response summarised by “are you happy now?” Architects don’t come across as a band that would alienate their fan base however, we all know the internet harbours some of the worst aspects of human social skills and total disregard for basic courtesy. Hence, “rip they commented” and “won’t somebody tell me what i believe”. This is not a middle finger to the fan base, just a very intelligent use of dissenting views stemming online around their more recent releases. Anyone who knows architects catalogue and has seen them live would be quite aware that they are one of the most iconic bands of the genre.
I want to preface this by saying I love everything Architects, FTTWTE and TCSOABS are amazing albums. But this song, holy hell, is on another level, I am absolutely in love! Amazing job
I think every song on Holly Hell and almost every song on FTTWTE is better then this one, but this song is still better then most of the songs on TCSOBS.

Unlike most other Architects fans I'm not attached to the old albums and I don't really like them, but man the previous album just didn't hit it for me. It has moments of greatness, but most of the tracks just feel like they go nowhere or just have something missing, so it's not like the album is bad, it just isn't good. Also Sam's voice just starts sounding a little grating, because most of the time is spent singing in the same style, I really wish he would have tried mixing some of his softer singing style. And honestly, after a second listen, this track isn't hitting it either. Maybe it's just that I like the grandiose sound of FTTWTE.

Absolutely love hearing the lows from Sam. Fantastic track
Tout ce que j'adore dans Architects se retrouve dans ce morceau, une alternance de growl et de lyrics absolument fantastique, j'adore !!!
That pick sweep is everything! Shows up only a few times but its the anger!!! Its what sets everything apart from all the others!!
I want to preface this by saying I love everything Architects, FTTWTE and TCSOABS are amazing albums. But this song, holy hell, is on another level, I am absolutely in love! Amazing job
This is Seeing Red, not Holy Hell. /s
@@Awoken0damn I was two minutes too late
I think every song on Holly Hell and almost every song on FTTWTE is better then this one, but this song is still better then most of the songs on TCSOBS.
@@Awoken0 You must be joking. He's using the expression ''holy hell'', not the single/album name, ''Holy Hell'' lol...
@@vitorshaw woooosh
this song goes haaaaaard. Especially the bass at around 1:30 (idk how that part is called). I love such a good sounding bass
The black and white footage at 2:21 is editing gold.
I think its a hint back at These colours dont run
My favorite song by them. Metalcore is alive and well.
I love when architects do that switch from a heavy riff intro into a heavy riff verse. When the drums up the pace it's just a bop 🔥
it's very dangerous to listen to this kind of part while driving 😅
I like how it's a commentary on the comment section of any platform demanding the band to be what the fans want, made in basically any style they've ever done.
A massive sarcastic middle finger. That also slaps haha.
@@jkrillz6571haha
I kinda feel like they planned it. Same with Here and Now and LF/LT.
Funny how fans want the kind of music from them that made them fans in the first place, the kind of music that made these guys famous.
@@pixelfriendlybbr And then those fans will say that they’re getting stale when they do the same album for the fifth time, it’s always a lose-lose when it comes to bands. There’s no pleasing everyone, so best to please yourselves first.
This is such a genius move. They simultaneously have given certain people "what they want", whilst maintaining their artistic vision, and expressing a message they feel deeply about. Huge track. I hope that those who perhaps disregarded the last two records can now go back and see that they have been here all along.
I’ll never leave architects they were there for me in high school, and ten years later when I lost my dad I don’t give a fuck if they scream or not
we said we wanted heavy as old stuff , and catchy as the new stuff ..they understood the assignement !!!
This song really is the best of both worlds. And the production is stellar
but please tell me the irony of your comment contrasted with the lyrics isn’t lost on you? it’s a fantastic song and I’ve loved them since the Hollow Crown era but there’s no denying there seems to be plenty of frustration about such “assignments” in the lyrics and visuals
@@grendels-motheryou understand it’s more ironic to still be trying to diss haters while releasing the most critically acclaimed song you have in years and then trying to sit back all smug like yeah heh got you guys? Like you realize that it essentially says the “haters” were right about their abilities the whole time…?
Like they backtracked….. would be a bit of a stronger message if they didn’t, huh? Hollow all around lmfao “rip they commented” UGHHH no thanks hahahahahaha they’re so mad bro just write about god or the environment or something we don’t caaaareeeee you’re not Taylor swift lol
@@grendels-mother I think it could be argued that people just didn't like the previous album because it just wasn't great or very unique, not because it was lacking in heaviness or screams. I started listening to Architects with FTTWTE, and I loved everything on that album (Black Lungs was slightly meh, but it was still decent).
What a song 😍 Love those lyrics as well. Going out straight to everyone who hated on them when they went less heavy on the last two albums.
I love it!!! It's so hilarious and such a banger! Sams vocal range is on another level. I enjoy the new stuff the same I enjoy the older stuff and it's really nice seeing you evolve. Much love🤍🤘
As Sam's coach, I appreciate you noticing 🙏
@@KimChandlerSinger could you let me know why people are saying this song is funny? from what i heard, people said architects wasnt heavy enough so they dropped this song. is that whats funny about it?
@@PhoenixAUST listen through the lyrics with that in mind. It's basically a "fuck you" to those people who don't care what the content of the music is as long as it's "heavy." So to those who aren't like that, it's quite funny
@@VeritabIlIti ah okay, thanks. I always listened to a bit of their music but when this song released I really started liking them
I saw Architects 2 days ago as a support before Metallica's concert. Now a huge fan. Sam is just a great guy, personality-wise! Felt in love instantly with the music, it's unbelievable, I haven't felt such a fascination in a long time!
2:29 that shot of Sam teleporting is so sick!
Also the 2:22 applause is so perfectly ironic as the rest of the song and lyrics I love it hahaha
How had I not noticed him just disappear before this comment?! 😂
@@d.hodgsky I'm actually stealing that for future video ideas, I was like 'wowowow what just happened where did he go' when I first saw it haha
to answer your question, yes we are pleased!!! As someone who loves the new records as much as the old ones, each in its own individual way, all of them helped me a lot through difficult times, I am perfectly pleased with this one. But pleeeeaaase don't do what people expect you to do, but what you feel is the right thing to do!!! haters may be loud, but they are few. Most people will love whatever you do, as long as they can feel it came from deep of your hearts. If it is the case, that you really felt like doing a harder song, I am as glad as someone could be, if this was just to please those who can't stand the change, wrether do whatever you really enjoy yourself.
Man I love Architects. Following these guys since Daybreaker album (literally one of the first metalcore band I heard in my life), and I've never been disappointed. Yeah there is one or two songs I'm not too fan about, but in general they have always hyped me, and each time they release a new song, I'm so happy.
This song is an obsession they always bring something fresh, catchy and unique and give so much passion and emotions this song hits.
Esse som é um soco na cara dos antigos fãs que enchem o saco porque não conseguem aceitar que os caras amadureceram.
Nunca decepcionam, sempre evoluindo. ❤️
sim mano, é até nojento ver os comentários nas músicas novas falando sobre a m0rt3 do Tom só para ofender a banda.
Changing style isn't always growing up. But yeah, pissing a band off for that is too much
As a fan who has loved every album they have released, this is such a satisfying song, sticking two fingers up at those who call themselves "fans"
probably listen to this a few times on my drive to work, at work and again on the way home - it just seems to be the best all round song that i needed in my life and i cant get enough
What an anthem all round
The message, the breakdown, the progression, the production, panning, return of the blegh, love that sam brings back that vocal style from the gods album in the outro
Additional production by Mick Gordon? I can tell, this absolutely slaps!
00:11 Sam knows what we all want to hear! Absolute BANGER! 🔥
BLEGH!!!!!
You don't recognize, that this is sarcastic?
They are giving the haters what they want while simultaniously dissing them i love it

I was proudly wearing my sea Shepherd singlet and Mr Sam Carter saw this and pulled me in and you put your forehead onto mine and screamed during the song downfall right into my soul and it was the greatest moment ever. Since then I have seen you guys 5 times and you guys are truly something special! Keep on killing it boys and I'll see you again when you're down under! Peace much love xx
You guys have been my favorite band from the day I found you guys. The way you guys always feel so real and your ability to evolve as a band and release the music you want regardless of "genre" or what the "fans" will think is really inspiring. The Abbey Road album you guys did has literally opened so many doors musically for me and made me explore so many avenues and sounds I never would have without you guys, and I will be eternally grateful to you all for expanding my music tastes. It probably gets exhausting the way some people talk and act about you guys and honestly fuck those people, they don't deserve your hard work and authenticity and they can listen to the same r/metalcore slop with their 5 bands all copying eachother. Those people may be the loudest but never forget there is a large group of us that love you guys for you and your authenticity, and we are all excited to see your continued growth and how you will continue to evolve! Love you guys

I think people forget that music is an art, and this band plays what they feel at that time. What this band has been through is unbearable to say the least.. I wish no one has to ever go through that. If you're a true fan of art (music) and a fan of this band we have to give them the respect they deserve!!! Nolly and Dan killed the drum production once again. The floor in the chorus sounds massive!
I like it, a lot of people out here complaining about chorus’s like shut up. Architects actually has some of the best chorus’s in my opinion. And they also put a lot expressions and plays on words with an almost biblical way of delivering lines. Architects is a great band hands down
This song is an absolute banger and I've listened to it at least 30 times today alone. Always giving a reason to keep me listening.

All albums have something different to share and I love their humanity and the quality of their contents. I’m always happy when they are dropping something new.
